I’m gonna just say it. This Safeway sucks. Bad. It is a much smaller store with a horrible selection of produce and meats. They used to have a pretty good kombucha selection but that has been taken over by pizza, wings, and meat and cheese trays. Thanks for supporting the health conscious. Check-out lanes? Give me a break. Unless you are coming in at the butt crack of dawn you can expect two lanes open, suuuuuuper chatty checkers, and looooooong lines. I avoid this place as much as possible but considering how close it is to my place it’s hard not to. Grrrr.

Ok how good or bad can a Safeway be, right? You see one, you’ve seen them all. But here is something that drives me nuts about this location: they have 8 check stands but only use 2, sometimes 3. Lines sometimes get halfway down the isles. It’s not that I’m a super important person with places to go but with so many check stands available, why not use them? The staff are really awesome though, so you’ll at least have good customer service if you can survive the long lines…

I witnessed one of your employees… Margaret, assist an elderly lady who was sung a water and fell. She was so kind to her. The elderly lady was waiting for a bus so she assisted her to a seating area and came to check on her and had others check on her. I was enjoying a latte in your Starbucks while waiting for my ride from the grocery store and talked with her. Margaret you kindness was amazing and rare! Thank you!!!

Drove past this safeway a lot but stopped here for the first time after my morning walk with a friend. It is quite a bit smaller than the hawks prairie safeway that I sometimes so too. However I noticed it seemed cleaner.

I live five minutes away from this Safeway. I don’t go here to shop. This is a small store. It has a meat section that is severely lacking. There’s essentially no seafood except for frozen and maybe a small 24 inch area in the meat case. When I moved here, I used to go here a lot. I normally spend 4 – 600 monthly to feed my family. I stopped because of the lack of selection. I was going here to pick up odds and ends here for dinner and things from the deli, but I decided after a couple of days ago, I will stop shopping here if I can. I went to the deli at 8pm. I asked the gal who was cleaning a deep fryer if she had any chicken. She was extremely short with me. She said all they had was on the warming rack. Okay… so I turn around and take the last two packages. Problem is, I want to know how much they are. I looked at all the prices on the display and none for fried chicken. There was another girl stocking the deli display and I asked her. She said«Let me check» and called out to the girl cleaning the deep fryer. THAT girl turns around and in a teenage voice says«Gaaaawddd… WHAT!?!» Surprising both me and the girl. She then says the prices so quickly that I didn’t even hear what she said. Just that I’m either paying 6.99 or 8.99. Okay… At this point, I just want to get out of here but my son reminds me to get the potato salad. I say loudly next to the nicer girl«I am NOT going to ask that girl to get me anything.» Again, the friendly clerk told me where I could get potato salad in the display case instead of Ms. Cranky Pants who clearly thinks she’s above her job. Sigh. I will probably take the extra 8 minutes to drive to the Fred Meyers because this Safeway leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Larger selection of premade and packaged sandwiches, chicken strip bowls snd chicken in general. Same for bakery items as well. No gas station at this one but oh well.

In my opinion, The sooner this Safeway goes out of business the better. Since it’s gotten busier it takes forever standing in line to buy anything. Additionally their Deli staff don’t clean the meat slicers adequately. Last Tuesday when I when to the deli, I asked for some salami. The person behind the counter did not place any wax paper or any barrier for the meat to fall on. Instead they allowed the meat to just drop into the leftover pieces of at least three or four different kinds of meat on the bare metal. Then this person was retrieving the slices leftover other meat crumbs and all. When I complained to the deli person about the cleanliness of the slicer, the deli person stated, «it’s ok, as long as it the same type of meat.» I was appalled and asked to see the manager. A supervisor responded but didn’t seem to care so I asked for a phone number of a manager. I was given the number of a District Manager. I attempted to call him but was told he was unavailable. I left my number but he never called me back. In my opinion, I guess sanitary conditions and customer service are not important to the district manager either. The only person who ever admitted that the way the meat was being handled was not correct was the supervisor I spoke with but only after I Asked point blank if I was correct. Answering my question, the supervisor stated that I was correct and the deli person needed to be retrained but that she didn’t think I needed to be told that information initially.

I would love this Safeway if they had just a bit better inventory. They don’t have the small black shopping carts, only the huge beige ones, which is very inconvenient. The staff are very nice. They didn’t have mint extract around the holidays(seriously??), and I had to go to another store. Its too bad, because since Albertsons and Top Foods closed this is the only grocery store in this area. They need to catch up to the need before they drive more customers away. Oh and as always, use the Safeway smart phone app to get even more savings.

This Safeway has gotten a lot more busier since the Albertson’s across the street closed a few months ago. However, that has not change the wonderful customer service that the employees provide to their customers. This store is smaller and not as nice as others locally, but still serves the purpose. Employees are always so nice and accommodating providing excellent customer service no matter what time of day, or how crazy busy they can be. The cashiers make every effort to greet you with a smile, the butchers come out and around from their stations to see if they can assist, and I’m always acknowledged when an employee passes me by in the isles. I shop at this Safeway not only because it’s convenient, but because of its customer service.

Very small store, small, limited selection, no snack foods available if you’re organic and/or vegan, and the prepared foods don’t look fresh either. But at least finding parking was easy.

This particular store is on the smaller side but it makes up for it with its excellent customer service. I have never been in there without someone asking me if I need help finding something, going out of their way to make my shopping trip easier, or just a simple smile and a greeting. Grocery shopping is not always my favorite thing to do and the staff here always seems to make it a lot more enjoyable. I just hope, if anything, the staff here gets the positive attention they deserve for a job well done.
