This is a very basic park and it seems to be just a transitionary road between Sleater-Kinney and College so you don’t have to use Martin and they just so happen to have labeled it as a park. There is nothing at this park, just a 0.5 mile or less loop around some trees. The whole park appears to be less than about mile 0.5 miles. There is a moderately big field area in which you could probably play football or toss a Frisbee. The park has a very odd placement as it’s right where I-5 and Sleater-Kinney cross and both are two decently busy roads. There is no where to park at all, so you basically have to park in the Candlewood Suites or maybe even at McDs and walk all the way around the fence to get to the park which is slightly inconvenient. This is definitely a miss park and I would probably only come here if it was a last result. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not ghetto or anything where as you don’t find syringes or homeless people hanging out, but it’s just not that great for a variety of activities. There just isn’t a lot of area to spread out and let your kids run. You definitely won’t loss them here though. I don’t even know why they call it a park. There is no playground and it consists of two benches & a couple trash cans. There are no doggie doo bags. It’s just really really basic. The call this a right of way from the highway so it’s allegedly more safe to walk from Sleater-Kinney to College as a cut-through to some of the smaller side streets as opposed to having to walk all the way down Martin to College and then back tracking. I actually think they have designed several cut throughs running down Martin so pedestrians and cyclists don’t have to come out to Martin or risk getting hit. I guess that’s kind of nice, but I won’t be back to this park probably.
