Left this gym when retro was being built. i couldn’t work out there in the dead of summer because the air conditioning was never turned on! Just these huge fans blowing warm air on you. No good– had to leave. I felt like I was going to have a heatstroke on cardio days. They still have tanning on their windows advertised, but theres no tanning. What was the tanning booth is now a child care area where kids bang on a play piano during the course of your workout. Pricing is decent, but not at all cheap. Machines and weights need an updating. The only good parts are 1. the staff is super nice and 2. they supply locks for the lockers. Other then that this place screams change.

My family has lived in this area since the 50’s. I left long ago. A family illness has brought me back and I needed a place to work out for a couple of weeks. This gym has just about everything. It’s got a room dedicated to cardio, free weights, weight machines and even an aerobics’ room. The equipment is top notch the employees are professional, and very friendly. The temperature is about perfect. The facility is clean and well lighted. It cost me 6 bucks for a «day pass» and it was well worth it. They don’t provide towels(as far as I know), but they do have lockers available to use at no extra cost. This is a well equipped no frills fitness center. Just the kind of place that I would belong to if I lived here.

Great gym! It’s always very clean and the staff is always friendly. There’s plenty of equipment and all are in good condition. It’s a great place to work out and I never feel intimidated or out of place, no matter what fitness level I am in. There are plenty of classes to choose from. Lastly, there’s no contracts to sign… just pick the type of membership you would like. Great place.

I love this gym. I just do. It’s small, it’s simple, it doesn’t have a pool or all the«specials» that big, brand-name gyms have. It doesn’t have a chain of them that you can go to in any city. It is a mom & pop gym. But it does it right. Décor: Clean. Clean. Clean. This is a big deal for me in a gym and the owner understands that. She is compulsive about cleaning and she makes sure her staff is too – I see them cleaning CONSTANTLY every time I am there. The place is clean and fresh – as much as you can expect from a place where people come to grunt and sweat. Service: Fantastic. The owner is amazing, polite, sweet, and friendly. She seems to care about her clients and takes their suggestions seriously, often acting on them immediately(especially when something is broken). And she is very accommodating – whenever I am on vacation, she freezes my account, so I am not wasting days of my membership. The other staff members, by and large, are also friendly and nice. Equipment: Weight Room: Pretty good, all in all. Not the best weight room I’ve ever been in, but it has most of the weights I would want or need and enough of them, in general, that I am usually not waiting for weights. Spacious enough too that it is rarely crowded and even peak hours are manageable. Treadmills and Elliptical Machines: These are also generally new and in good order and there are enough of them that there is rarely a wait for either. Also, most of them have TVs with them, so if you want to watch some shows while you’re working out, you can! I do admit being mildly disappointed that HBO and a number of other channels are no longer being offered on their TVs, but still good enough for my needs. Weight Machines: There is a separate room where most of the weight-machines and other exercise equipment(as opposed to free weights) are kept. These are also generally new and in good order. The room is clean and bright and comfortable. A good amount of options – enough for my needs, all in all. Aerobics Room: There is an «open» room for aerobics and Zumba classes and those classes are offered multiple times a day for free with your gym membership. Pretty damn good offer, all in all! Finally, for parents: There is a «daycare» service offered with a supervised room where you can keep your children while you work out. So yeah. No pool. No racquetball courts. But who needs ‘em? If you’re there for a good work out, and you want a reasonable price(various memberships offered), this is the place for you!
