Terrible owner. Sat down for lunch and told them I was using a credit card, after spending $ 8 at lunch, they tell me that there is a $ 20 minimum. Won’t be back here which is ok, there is smoking in restaurant and food is average.

Blue Waters Bay is located in the quaint, somewhat touristy town of Lac du Flambeau. It once was a supper club, but as the server told us, it thrived in the summer but was somewhat dead in the winter. Now, it operates more like a bar and grill. And that’s good news, because they serve the BEST burgers I’ve ever had in the entire state of Wisconsin(I may have only visited about four times, but keep in mind I’m a Texas gal, and we KNOW burgers). They have a small assortment of deliciously juicy burgers(«Cajon» — they do mean«Cajun» btw — mushroom swiss, regular, etc) — sandwiches(Philly cheesesteak, BLT), homemade chips and fries, frickles, cheese curds, steaks, and all the other delectable bar food that tastes so good but is oh so bad for ya. It’s all in moderation, folks. There’s a bar area, a dining area, a small patio with views of the lake. A family-friendly spot for a good ol’ fashion meal.

Do not eat here, poor service, less than average food and this restaurant is NOT a super club. If you’re looking for a real Wisconsin super club this is NOT the place!

Returned for dinner last night with a group of 8; food was good as usual, but we had the same server as our previous visit. To quote my son who works in the dining business, she was«in the weeds». Once again, pretty busy with only 2 servers. My son had to go to the bar to get the beers ordered from the server after 10 – 15 minutes. Biggest complaint this time was when bringing the bill, we were told the credit card machine was not connected/set up, so it would have to be cash. As it happened, we did have the over $ 100 in cash, but many folks would not. If your credit card machine is not available, I’m thinking a sign on the front door telling patrons would make for fewer irate diners. They do have an ATM, but who knows what that would cost to use? One positive this visit… they have added a few better beers to the cooler; saw Heinekens and Fat Tire.
