This place is great and the staff is fun and friendly. I came for lunch on a Friday. If you love our want to try southern food I would highly recommend going here to eat.

Really good place to eat if you want a home cooked meal. Come hungry because you will leave full. So far I think Thursday is my favorite day to go.

This little place is Amazing!!! The food was totally on point– best meat and two. Their food is even better than Monell’s. Not only is the food fantastic, the people who run it are warm and friendly. They make sure you have everything you need and enjoy your experience.

Definitely some of the best southern food I’ve had in a while. I usually judge a place that’s a meat and ²⁄₃ by their greens and they are on point!
It’s kinda divey on the side of Murf. Rd. in Lavernge but it’s well worth it!

I seriously made an account just to write a review about this place. I had previously heard about them from my boss at work who raved on about how amazing their food was & I still wasn’t convinced to try it out. (I am big on soul food). Then one day, a client came into our office & started talking about how amazing it was. So I just had to give it a try. Now let me tell you, the food was too die for. Absolutely, mouth-​watering soul food goodness! I wanted to try everything, so I had the meat loaf, the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac&cheese (It will not let you down), the collard greens were great but just not my thing. You have to get their corn bread. Fresh from the Corn Bread Heavens themselves, my mouth was just shooting off fireworks of amazing deliciousness. You MUST try this place out. The only negative review I have about this place is location, parking, no menus what so ever. Price was decent for the large amount of food you received. Also the bathroom is on the outside of the building (odd concept) but overall experience I give this place 4 out of 5 stars.

We probably wouldn’t have stopped by a place that advertises soul food, but since this place opened up in a place that we have a lot of memories (Tee Gees), we thought we would give it a try. The food is served cafeteria style up front. They have several meat and vegetables, and some things we didn’t recognize, not in our diet. There were no menus out front and none posted on the wall, so we ordered what we wanted, with no idea what it would cost. The price was reasonable, the serving sizes were bountiful. We carried out enough food to feed at least one more person. We got the fried chicken which was excellent. All the sides and the cornbread was excellent as well. We overheard that we could get catfish here, which is cooked to order. This will be our choice next visit. This place is doing 5 stars on the food. Still struggling a bit on the business end. I am sure they will sort it out.
