Finally tried this place after hearing about it for months and I am super impressed. My 10 year old was amazed and loved watching them make her ice cream, not to mention it was so creamy and yummy. The owners are super friendly and helpful too. We’ll definitely be back!

Love this place– however tried to call and see what the flavors were and guy said we are super busy can’t tell you but we have 12. I said ok I would like to know them so I could order through postmates. He proceeded to argue and say that’s not possible(it is) Then he said ok then hung up. Whoever the owners are should check their staffs attitudes and customer service. This has been the second time now they have hung up. What kind of service is this?

I get asked to review a lot of different establishments by friends. And while I would like to review everything, I really only decide to review that which I hope will enrich the desert culinary scene. Shields? I’ll review. Dickeys? Love what you do, but you don’t enrich us. You don’t add to our culinary creativity. Nitroinfusions? Well… While the idea of flash freezing ice cream is nothing new to foodies, it sure is new to us here in the desert. And by God, I hope it’s here to stay. I went in for the first time the other day, after wanting to for months. I had the pleasure of sampling four of their 10 odd flavors: banana lavender, olive oil and pistachio, salted caramel, and mint chip. Together what they all shared is a creamy, virtually grain free taste treat that can’t be beat. The liquid nitrogen(–321 degrees you know) freezes the cream so quickly, crystals don’t have time to form. This affords a wonderfully silky texture. But what of the taste? I mentioned a few whacky flavors(banana lavender) and do believe me when I say I’m now slightly obsessed with it(and I’m told it’s even better as a shake, which I believe. They also do malts!) The banana was a pure expression of the fruit, the lavender subtle and floral on the backend. Another added bonus? More of a savory ice cream means you can eat more of it as opposed to their more traditional, cloying cousins. The olive oil and pistachio is another such savory sampling. The pistachios lent the right amount of salt to the oil’s fruity, velvet offering. While not my favorite, it was a close second. The salted caramel was everything you’d want it to be. One drawback was the salt, which if improperly mixed(meaning rushed and not thorough) can lead to a rather large chunk of the mineral. Not very good eats. There’s no much I can say about the mint, other than avoid unless you like eating toothpaste. I would say that nitroinfusions is a blast of –321 cool air that the desert needs. There were some lows, but there was also highs. Let’s hope they keep soaring and don’t feel that summer heat.

Such fun to see nitro infusions with organic cream and the final result«ice cream» — yay! They have unique variations of infusions like; vanilla ice cream topped with olive oil, pistachios and sea salt, also Lavender-banana ice cream(delightful).

Good, not great. In the cutest area of La Quinta, the Old Town Square, which is so charming! Outside of the shop were several tables and chairs and misters, which was very nice. They have large chalkboards up with the flavors that day posted. Some are standard, some are a little more unique(roasted pistachio with olive oil). They use organic ingredients, when possible. There were two people working, one taking orders, one making the ice cream. The girl taking orders looked totally bored and not excited at all about her job. She wasn’t super friendly and seemed annoyed to answer our questions. Our ice creams were made quickly, the guy making them seemed a bit more peppy. They sizes of ice cream were not generous, barely hitting the top of the cup and the toppings were even more skimpy. Everyone in our group agreed that the ice creams were good, but not anything special.
