Visited for drinks one weekend afternoon. Beautiful setting, drinks were good, and the food variety was great. I’m sure it’s a mess during the season, but during the down time I’d recommend it.

I have had breakfast on several occasions and the food is never hot. Cool waffles Ugh. Waitstaff hard to fine. Usually when I go there it isn’t busy. Wait for ever for a coffee refill. The problems are ongoing. Someone should take a hard look at the way the place is run. Latest server was the«‘Lead Server». He was a bust

Great place to relax after a round of golf. Love sitting on the Patio, so happy they are open in the evenings. We like their corn beef sandwich and tacos.

3 stars in my book is good. Had a late lunch here after golf. My Ruben was average though some of the meat was sliced the wrong direction and suddenly the sandwich gave way since the bottom half of the bread was soggy. It proved to be very salty later as I was on the plane home and could not get enough water to drink. The fries were ok but not crispy like I expected. The facility is beautiful and the service very good. If you are looking to eat economically, this is not the place.

I’m giving this place five stars based on service alone! Our server, Marco, was impeccable! We sat outside and even though we were his only customers out there he never forgot about us! We only went for drinks, so I can’t speak to the food, but we had a great time hanging out there and will go back!

Decent food, standard American fare, service was very good too. Really pretty the view of the course, nice looking place inside and out.

Great food, great service. In need of a quick bite? Stop by Ernie’s and grab something.

Very disappointing last night at Ernie’s. I have eaten here many times over the years and seen the decline in service and menu choices. Unacceptable for this beautiful location and we’re PGA members(20% discount that gets added right back on tab for gratituity which is also irritating-tip is still«earned» IMO). Summer crowd(i.e. pretty quiet on a Sunday evening at sundown). I think the server we got was«in training» but still not right to wait 15 minutes for a dessert when we had already been there an hour and a half, much of that time waiting. Just the worst experience I’ve had there yet. I will still go back and hope the service turns around. As for the menu, they used to do summer specials but I guess no more. Basically, you’re paying for the location/view/atmosphere. It’s close to «home» so we’ll continue to go there unless this last experience becomes the norm.

Being residents here at PGA West, we are blessed with choices. Ernie’s continues to do an excellent job with their menu and service. If you know me, you know that I am the type of person who calls them as I see them. I tried a new menu item on the happy hour menu, the bone in rib eye steak. The cost is a mere $ 13.95. There are a selection of side dishes, we elected to share the garlic mashed potatoes and shared the Ceasar salad. Well let me tell you, it was the best $ 14 steak I ever had! It was cooked exactly as I ordered it. It comes with crunchy little onion ring things that are a nice accompaniment.

Food poisoning on Sunday, May 17th in the late afternoon. My wife ate tortilla chips and pico de gallo along with a glass of pinot noir. Unfortunately it knocked her out of circulation for three days before she was fully recovered. Most frustrating thing was I called over there twice the next day and left messages for the F&B Manager and no call back. Truth is I just wanted to help her out and let her know about the problem she had in her kitchen and maybe even save some other customers from whatever bug was growing in that uncooked pico. I get that this can happen at times but not to call back is unacceptable.

Ernie’s is a very pleasant setting — big windows, open airy restaurant and nice big patio seating. Service & food was just OK. We were there for breakfast, it took awhile to get waited on, even tho the place was nearly empty. I ordered eggs over easy with the hash. My plate arrived with a mound of hash and 2 overdone eggs on top of it. That’s it, no garnishments, no sides unless you order toast & jam, etc. They could have at least put an orange slice on the plate for some color. The hash was good, but a very drab presentation, and the same with my partner’s order. No frills here.

Great food, great views overlooking the golf course. It’s nice to be able to drive the golf cart to the clubhouse if you’re staying in the pga community.

Played a round of golf. Golf course = great. Shout out to my boy Jerry at the starter booth. That’s a first class individual. Then we get to Ernie’s… When asking if we can sit at one of the tables, one waiter said he’d have to check with the hostess because all the tables were reserved. I guess the other 18 tables that were not occupied were reserved too. Then the hostess… With a really bad attitude… Tells us that these other people had been waiting for 45 minutes. But nobody was moving to the table at all. I think it was because my friend was Mexican. Maybe a little too brown for the stadium course. We left.

We found this hidden jewel via Unilocal app and we can’t wait to go back and enjoy this spot again. It sits inside the clubhouse at the end of the golf course so it is pretty isolated so don’t come here expecting a «club» atmosphere lol. I loved the seclusion. Led to the romantic ambiance on a budget we were looking for. We sat outside in the patio and were pleasantly surprised with a free appetizer. We had also called ahead about the corkage fee and were told it was free that evening. Cool! We ordered a flat bread pizza as an appetizer, Arugula and dates(sweet and delish!), and had the salmon for dinner. All excellent choices! Everything was perfect! Service was beyond excellent. They sat us outdoors by the fireplace which only added to our romantic evening lol. All in all, I can’t wait to go to back :) Thanks!

Came here for dinner the night of my bachelorette party. We had no idea what to expect but were all pleasantly surprised! It’s tucked away on a beautiful course. We sat outside and dined and watched the sun go down. It was very peaceful. The service and the food were good. We weren’t prepared for the bar closing early on a saturday night but we enjoyed the dining experience.

If you want to have a great cocktail and a fantastic burger this is the place to go. Ernie’s pink Cadillac margaritas are amazing probably one of the best margaritas I’ve had ever. Their fries are so crispy and good and their burgers seem small but are extremely filling. The atmosphere there is great. It’s always clean there and I’ve never had to wait a long time to be seated. I love the view out to the golf course. The only complain I have is I think during the summer they have weird hours and I’ve gone once when they should’ve been open(I think this was a Tuesday) and they weren’t there was no sign up and the hours online were wrong. Only if you called you would get the recorded message with the funky hours and days they were open.

I love Ernie’s mostly because it’s so convenient. If you have a place at PGA West and hunger creeps up on you this is the place to go… you don’t have to drive all the way out to old town LQ or Palm Desert… just hop in your golf cart and bam! The pizza and sandwiches always hit the spot. The street tacos are amazing when they do have them as part of their seasonal menu. The steak is pretty well made. The chicken wings are phenomenal. Breakfast: the date oatmeal in the mornings is pretty tasty and doesn’t leave you feeling sleepy/food coma-ed out like other breakfast foods. Four stars b/c their potatoes have bacon and there isn’t many options other than pancakes/muffins/eggs when they offer buffet breakfast only… and if you’re not a pork eater it leaves you in the dust.

you know if a place has egg benedict then my boyfriend and i are there. it’s always one of our must try dishes. we felt as if it was our lucky day because the chef special was what?!? egg benedict! we ordered one with fresh fruits and one with breakfast potatoes. the breakfast potatoes to my surprise are these little squares that was crunchy like fries. it was my favorite. the egg benedict was okay. i really didn’t feel like it tasted that great. we’ve definitely had WAYWAY better egg benedict. it’s definitely an okay place to go if you don’t wanna go far and wanna grab a quick bite before or after your golf round. love their knife! i’ve been to way too many restaurants where their knife sucks and would not cut through the muffin but this knife made my meal stress free. staff was nice and checked up on us a few times. i would recommend the breakfast potatoes! that was the best part of my meal. tips: *ask for tabasco sauce. *cash and credit card accepted *there’s a TV. *limited breakfast menu option. *indoor/outdoor seating. *located inside the Nicklaus course. *you get a view of the golf course while eating. *they serve alcohol as well. *separate gender restrooms are really close to the entrance.

Ernie’s bar and grill is located inside the PGA West golf course clubhouse. The 50 – 50 burger was great. They have to serve it medium or above so the bacon cooks properly. I have had these burgers before at Slaters 50⁄50 and I thought these were also very good. There are very big windows that look out on the PGA West golf course which is very nice. It was very warm outside so wandering around the outside patio and taking in the view could only be done in short bursts but you could pretty much get the same effect. The have a really bitchen lookin chandelier that hangs down over the bar and it is really spacious. If your a big golf fan then you probably already know about this place. It has a lot of golf history and that was pretty cool.
