Dry ass meat. Overpriced for the quality, which is not very good. Suadero is really dry and lacks texture. Don’t recommend the lengua either.

This place is delicious! My favorite is the super nachos, they’re loaded with delicious melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream, meat, and beans. It’s so good, definitely a filling meal for two, or one if you’re really hungry lol. The service is fast and the prices are great!

Nachos Nacho and NACHOS … and if you are not feeling nachos, get some El Pastor tacos! … and before you leave, get a side of grilled onions, PLEASE! This place is: 1. Consistent 2. Nicely priced 3. and is pretty darn good Usually at this Thrifty Gas Station till midnight everyday, except for Tuesdays. I tried a couple of meats, quesadilla, nachos, tacos, this that, this annnd THAT. BUT, as stated above, the last five times has been a repetitive order of Carne Asada Nachos(add grilled onions) and tacos el pastor. The nachos come with nacho cheese, which I absolutely hate, but works damn well on these nachos. So rare exception; but well executed. The chips are well cooked, asada has some flavor and the grilled onions with their avocado salsa adds the perfect touch. Tacos el pastor are nice and tender with tons of flavor. Sometimes i’ll add the grilled onions and shredded cheese if im feeling a little brave. But do not skip on these two items. The guys here are always nice, quick, and make sure you are taken care of. Parking is easy, the gas station is pretty big and the taco guys put cones to help with parking and lines. Put this one on your list!

It’s by far the best taco truck in the area. They have all the meats you can imagine. Tripas included and they cook it to perfection. I’ve only had the asada and tripas tacos and they’re great. They also throw on their some delicious grilled onions and Jalepeño — great flavor. The nachos looked great. Also had the asada quesadilla which is bomb. It’s well lit in a the parking lot of a gas station. I’ve been their a few times and no problems. I’ve seen security out there on Fri and Sat for line control and Sheriff’s patrolling and eating there as well. All different types of people that come here. Great place for late night snack or after hours. I highly recommend!!!

Worth the burritos. Quesadilla is real good. Just a solid place to get your burrito fix. Recommended to all the foodies for just getting your Mexican food fix when the craving arrives.

Usually resort to the food truck for late night bites. Delicious food, love their Carne asada super nachos, quesidillas, burrito and sopes… which is the whole menu I believe. They ONLY take CASH. Good thing is, the food truck is located in a gas station where they have an atm to withdraw cash and lots of parking space.

I used to live in the middle of LA where there were A LOT of late night Mexican food trucks so I like to think I’ve ate my fair share of burritos. Since moving to La Puente I can’t say there’s the same luxury of having a lot of late night food trucks around especially of walking distance. However I guess that’s easier to narrow down the best near me. This was the first Mexican food truck I seen so it became my first to test. I wasn’t disappointed, but it wasn’t the best. It was a little above average so I can’t complain. However their carne asada nacho was just meh(meats good but that’s about it) I would recommend just sticking to their burritos and ask for free grilled onions! I love that parking is plenty since the gas station is pretty spacious. The pricing is the same as any other Mexican food trucks.

Best carne asada nachos ever had! The tacos are exquisite! They aren’t stingy with meat, sauces and sides. I’ll NEVER go to any other taco truck again. If you’re from LP area you’ll realize the other trucks on Amar and surrounding areas taste like garbage compared to this place!

Pretty much one of the best Carne Asada I’ve ever tasted. I had it in their nachos. The chips are fresh and crispy for quite a while, they don’t taste like they come out of bulk bag. The whole thing is a really good mix. I also had the Carne Asada burrito. Pretty good as well, but not as special and unique as the nachos. I prefer it with less rice.

solid 3.5 stars. i’m always in the mood for tacos, and i was determined to find a truck that was local. found this on Unilocal and had to try it out. CASHONLY! what i ate: — carne asada taco: pretty tasty. the asada had a great beef flavor, but it was a bit oily — al pastor taco: well seasoned and cooked well(the pastor was on a spit). i wish they put a slice of pineapple on top though — tamarind soda pros: — local to me! only ten min drive from my house, which makes me happy and sad. i have a feeling i may be coming here often for some late night tacos — price: tacos were $ 1.25 each and my soda was $ 1.50. nothing to break the bank and enough food to fill my belly — well lit lot. it’s not horribly ghetto. the bright lights make it feel safe enough — sides: my tacos came with some grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño. yum! — condiment«bar»: has three sauces — tomatillo, roja, and the avocado. all three are tasty. the roja has some nice spice to it. there were also limes, hot carrots and… something else(i cant remember if they were cucumbers or radishes) — lots of people considering it was 9pm on a saturday night. there was a fairly steady stream of customers getting their mexican fix — plenty of parking in the lot cons: — not the best tacos in the world. they were on the oilier side, but these two biter tacos were good enough to fill my taco craving without having to drive far from my house — no bottled water, just can sodas and glass bottle mexican soda would i come again? probably :)
