In November my son started at Stateline with his first ever trail ride– a dream of his. Wow! He was not disappointed. It’s a beautiful walk through stunning woods on safe horses. His guide had the perfect balance between nature peace and a touch of conversation. The horse was happy and tail wagging, not at all overly tired or aggressive. There are many horses so you know they are rotated nicely. With out any reservations, all people interested in a lovely wooded trail ride will feel catered to and honestly charged.

I have fallen in love with Stateline Stables! The best way I can explain my comment is I feel at home here. Everyone has greeted, included, and encouraged me since the first day. Even the cold winter has not kept me away!

Great place! Great people, great horses, great scenery. The trail is beautiful and very relaxing. My favorite part is going over the small bridges and then up the hill. If you are interested in more then doing the trails, they have several top notch instructors to teach lessons for all levels of riders in both English and Western disciplines. There are are always fun activities going on for students and boarders… from fun shows and team tournaments, to summer camps for the kids.

Took my daughter for a birthday ride. They were super sweet and helpful, and she had a great time! Very quick too — no waiting for tons of paperwork, etc.

Wonderful place to go. Stateline Stables is one of our favorite places. The trail rides are peaceful and relaxing. The owner, Shannon, is a great horseback riding instructor. She is patient and calm if someone is new to riding and is nervous. She also encourages her students to push themselves and try new things. I love seeing my kids grow and flourish from their experiences at Stateline Stables.

My daughter is somewhat nervous around animals she is not familiar with, but«loves horses», so my husband wanted to surprise her with a pony ride here. When we stepped into the office to get everything squared away, my daughter pretty much freaked out with a cat and a lab wandering around, not to mention the prospect of actually getting on a horse. The staff was VERY accommodating and friendly. The woman who helped us, addressed my daughter directly, letting her know we could go meet«Hotwheels»(great name, right?!) before she decided whether or not to ride. In the end, she did not, but her brother took a quick spin on a horse much larger than we expected. He enjoyed it. Side note: I thought«pony ride» meant a ride on a pony… but I’m guessing in the equine world it can also mean a guided ride on a friendly horse that isn’t going to take off? I don’t know… the only thing I know about horses is that I have a severe allergy which I discovered two years ago but had forgotten about until after this visit! We will return once my girl decides she’s ready.

My 12 yr old daughter has taken lessons at Stateline Stables since she was 6. Excellent instruction, fantastic facilities and the most accessible, knowledgable group of equestrian folks around. Hands down the best stables and stable community in the area!

I have been here twice and the owner and facilities are great. Especially for someone who does not have very much horseback riding experience. I took my daughter for an outing with her friends for her birthday and they had a blast. You can tell the horses are well cared for, which is big for me as I love animals.

Just discovered this place recently with my daughter, while driving through SWMI on a mommy/daughter day. Not much to see in the Indiana/Michigan border area as far as landscaping, but the ride and conversation with the trail guide was nice. Not to mention, my 9 year old daughter was in heaven… that was worth it. We will def be back in the spring.

What a nice experience! My first trail ride with my experienced daughter. Jamie our guide was so sweet. Pretty trails, lovely horses and extra touches. Jamie spent time taking my daughter around to meet horses and all the other sweet animals around the stables. Lots of love at this place for their animals. We will be back!

First of all, let me say this: I typically hate trail rides. I owned horses and showed for 10 years so I usually find trail rides obviously a little too novice for me. The thing is, I miss horseback riding SO much, so I’m willing to put up with being treated like a brand new rider. My boyfriend has never been on a horse before, so when a groupon popped up, I jumped at it. This was a great ride all around. The owner was sympathetic to my needs as an experienced rider, which was nice. She really has a great thing going. The trail rides are a new addition to the barn and are really great. We went on a 45 minute ride through grass, sand, over bridges, and some mud. It was beautifully laid out. Sometimes trail horses are annoying set on auto pilot and will just walk through a trail no problem. These weren’t(yet were still completely manageable for non-riders). I would love to do this again some time.
