Dawn Donuts

If there’s one thing my family knows, it’s doughnuts and I can honestly say that Dawn’s Doughnuts is by far our favorite place to go. We stopped here this past summer while in La Porte and can’t wait to return. Great customer service + great doughnuts = a great place!

My family and I come in once a week for breakfast, we’ve tried nearly everything they have to offer. That said, everything here is delicious! From their croissants to their fritters! The family that runs the little shop is always smiling and friendly.

Great service! Every time I have been here the woman at the register has been warm and welcoming. The kolaches are so good and the donuts are pretty standard (still really good). There is sometimes a line but it usually goes by quick. I will be back.

Hungry and on my way home from a 12 hr night shift. In a dark strip center Dawn Donuts was the only place open and it was lit up brightly. It was like a Kolache lighthouse guiding me in from the dark. inside the family running the place is the friendliest around. They are super busy running around serving customers yet they never quit smiling and you feel so welcome. I have only tried the typical Kolaches offerings (sausage and cheese, Sausage cheese jalapeño, and ham and cheese) These however were so delicious. Very fluffy and light dough with a medium level of sweetness. Very fresh you can tell. The sausage is typical and the ham the same but nothing wrong with that. The prices are also very resonable. They have other kolaches, tacos, breakfast sandwiches, Donuts, ect. All look delicious so I will report back once I have tried them. Yes I will be back guided in by this bright beacon.

Excellent apple fritters, plain glazed, and kolaches. Large selection of beverages, almost as many as a convenience store. Great service, worth the drive.

The ham & cheese croissants are phenomenal, the sausage croissants are excellent, the kolaches are great, the donuts are yummy, but the absolute best part of going to Dawn Donuts is Nancy, the gal behind the counter. She is the sweetest, most kind, person I’ve come across in a very long time.
