Dirty and out dated but the service was good. This hotel just needs a complete remodel clean and update

My boyfriend and I planned a trip to visit wineries in Michigan as well go to the Four Winds Casino during a weekend trip. This hotel was in a good location to all that we wanted to go to. The hotel itself was very cute inside, which included a free continental breakfast in the morning(we didn’t take advantage of this), a pool with a hot tub, gym, game room, shuffleboard area, and putting green. We ended up staying in a room that the only window to this room was to the courtyard area, which didn’t allow us to open up the curtains because we didn’t wan’t people looking into our room. If you are looking to have some good rest, I would recommend getting a room with the window facing outside, not inside to the courtyard. It can get pretty loud with people playing games, talking, partying in the courtyard area. Other than that, it was a decent stay.

Waitstaff was very rude and uncooperative. i’m sure it was a very nice place back in the 50s. the pub is overpriced. and two different people that I work with got bedbugs from this place. stay at your own risk

Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, loved the king suite on the 4th floor, very accommodating for large groups, highly recommend staying here, bed was very comfortable. Reasonable price. Love the pueblo décor.

This hotel seemed awful when we walked in. We had booked through and they had no record of our reservation. There was broken glass out front. We arrived at 6pm, and the check-in girl said that no rooms were ready and we’d have to wait an hour. They were definitely understaffed but the woman at the desk was very apologetic. I felt bad for her. We travel with our 10 month old baby and he was quite crabby. We decided to go eat at Enzo’s(great place) and we were able to get our room after 7pm. The other reviews really scared me but I can say that the room wasn’t that bad at all. The bathtub was very small, but the room had a fridge and a microwave. The breakfast was good too. Not just coffee & donuts, but eggs, waffles and sausage. So, all in all it wasn’t bad. I’d stay there again.

This is a older place like early 80’s built looking place that is in need of a real update the lounge was the best part of this place other that the exit out of the parking lot, the rooms inside the building have a poolside feel and can get Quite Noisy with kids running around something about parents that get to a hotel then just let the kids Raise Hell! The beds in this place need help too though they claimed newer beds they were the Cheapest they could of bought and not just my room I switched rooms during my stay the curtains don’t keep the light out from the sides and the door has a 1″ gap at the bottom that let’s in plenty of light also, Hard Water that makes the shower almost feel like a waste of time, other than the friendly staff and the lounge I would keep looking for a little nicer room!

Considering the area, I gave this place 3 stars. Sure, I have experienced better but it wasn’t bad. The rooms were as expected and the amenities were good. My only complaint was that the pool was freezing. I am not an expect on hotel pools so maybe all pools are freezing cold but it just too cold for my taste. This place is great for kids. My kids loved all the things they could do; pool, playroom, golf, shuffleboard, indoor playground. I would consider this the best hotel in the area.

One word… SHITHOLE! Seriously! So I called to make the reservation because this is the place that we used to stay when our grandparents took us here about 10 years ago, but the last time we were here was about 5 years ago. And since then they have changed owners and have decided to «spruce» the place up. So I asked if this construction was still going to be going on when we got there and the lady assured me that is should be finished by then except for maybe a couple rooms. Um… try…two floors! No A/C in the halls, only in the lobby, elevators that were about to snap off their cables, chain smokers smoking on what was supposed to be a non-smoking floor… and believe be it gets better! Here is the list… Pros — *Absolutely nothing! Cons — *First rooms were dingy, my sister/brother-in-law’s room had toothpaste and hair in the sink and smelled like someone’s vagina rotted and died on the carpet… so we switched to their 4th floor which was newly renovated, but we still had to pay for our upgrade because the smell of smoke in our room was not enough apparently to get us comped as well! *New rooms smelled strongly of paint, the moved the A/C to the back corner of the room so it took hours to cool off, there was no A/C in the bathrooms, dirty shower walls, hardest fucking water I have ever felt… guess they forgot the water softener while they were«renovating», ketchup on the sign explaining why our rooms still didn’t have curtains(but did have paper covering the window being held together with painter’s tape, back window had no shade/curtain so the light came in at about 5AM and the«new» LG flat screens buzzed on all but a couple of channels… cool, huh?! *Pool was no longer heated(indoor or outdoor) so that was pleasant *Outdoor pool basically looked like their was a bush in the middle of it because it had so many pine branches from the tree above it floating in it *Dirty mattresses, toilets, sinks, etc. were out in the open stacked up for everyone to see who came down to the pool and believe me seeing those stained mattresses made me want to DIE! *Best sign in pool area read…“If you have or have had diarrhea within the past two weeks, you may not enter the pool!” WTF kind of sign is that!!! *Someone was actually having their white trash wedding here while we were there… poor people Pretty much the worst hotel experience of my entire life! My skin crawls just thinking about it!
