Best outdoor range available for the general public in the entire Washington, DC metro area. Max range 100. Two ranges – Rifle & pistol and sporting clays. Dirt road entrance. So so turkey hunting on the WMA, too. Five bucks but worth $ 20. Nice! Range Master/Ranger was a little strange but harmless I guess.

Super cheap as far as gun ranges go. $ 5 per person range few and you can stay as long as you want(as long as there aren’t other people waiting). Range is entirely outdoors, so plan to dress accordingly with the weather. Some things to know: you must bring ALL of your own gear. That includes guns, ammo, ear/eye protection, targets, clothespins, etc. There’s no office or rental area. This is definitely a range frequented by experiences gun enthusiasts(and the vast majority are male. When I went my group were the only females there. Doesn’t bother me, but if you’re the type of person who feels uncomfortable in that situation you might want to choose a more mainstream range). Respect the rules of the range and know what you’re doing and it’ll be a great experience. Don’t expect anyone to hold your hand or guide you, though(unless they’re in your group, then that’s for you all to discuss amongst yourselves)

A nice cheap range out in the middle of nowhere. You must bring your own equipment and ammunition. A daily permit is $ 5. A 100yd range is shared for pistol/rifle/shotgun use. Additional areas are made available for clay pigeon shooting(shotgun), and archery. On the 100yd range, 8 benches are provided with removable solid rests, movable wooden frames with netting and clothespins are supplied for supporting paper targets.
