Back again! The service is still great. Went with the tropical salad this time and it was phenomenal; it reminded me of hearts of palm salads I have had in Central America. But despite my plan to have the other version of the paella, I was unable to resist the special. Grilled salmon with grilled scallops and shrimp in a light seafood sauce. It was perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. If you haven’t tried this place, you need to do so today!

My wife and I really love the margaritas, salads, fajitas and chips/salsa at this place! We have been several times over the past 3 years and we always order the same things(Combo fajitas and barbecue chicken salad plus margaritas, chips and salsa). It has always been excellent and we always go when it i not too crowded so the servers give us enough attention without being overbearing. They have very large menu but we like sticking with what we know and like since so many other restaurants in their area have disappointed us.

We go here all the time! Try after church! What a nice brunch! They are getting really busy so I am worried we will not get a seat!

The food is delicious! I had the steak tacos and they were so flavorful. The cheese sauce and chocolate mouse were amazing as well. It was all reasonably priced. Our waiter was kind and attentive. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back!

When this restaurant first opened it was the best Tex-Mex and Spanish food I’ve ever had in the area. It was worthy of being a four or five star restaurant in the fresh quality of the food, service and ambiance. Sadly, that is no longer the case It has slipped very much in the last couple of years, especially since Simon, the owner and head chef left the business. The food has become sub par, very salty, not very appetizing and they’ve raised their prices on many items. I placed an order for pick up tonight and spoke in detail how I wanted it. After I brought it home, it was completely screwed up. I don’t plan to ever patronize them again unless they get their act together.

My wife went here last night with our daughter’s mother-in-law while my daughter was next foot in the hospital getting ready to have our grand daughter and while they were there, there we’re another couple next to them at the bar that had just received their food meanwhile my wife had just ordered to go and they were having a drink when the other couple started screaming because a roach was crawling on the chip basket that they brought with some salsa, the waitress swatted it on the floor and I believe killed it but the head waiter came over and would not apologize at all in fact told the couple to leave and never come back, this was one of our favorite places but I will never go. back

Quiet atmosphere and the very best steak fajitas in southern Maryland. I love this place.

You will not be disappointed! If you’re looking for awesome food, quite location — this is the spot for you! The wait staff is all very friendly. The food is out of this world. If you’re looking for an Americanized Mexican food restaurant — this is not for you. The food is worth every penny. The flavors of the food are amazing and authentic. Sometimes I’ve seen them have local musicians in during the evening as well.

Mediocre food. We had three appetizers; guacamole, mussels and calamari. The waitress was average, she brought our drinks fairly quickly, but didn’t refresh my drink or my husband’s and didn’t clear the empty dishes while we were eating. I can’t judge the whole place on her, but in reality, she had the personality and enthusiasm of someone who didn’t want to be there. The calamari was bland and a little chewy and the sauce served with it somewhat weird tasting, almost a tartar sauce flavor. The mussels were hot but had a strange old fish flavor, soaked in not a very good sauce and the bread 30th was fair. The guacamole was great, fresh and tasty. The complimentary salsa was fresh and we gobbled it up along with the warm chips, without a refill. The atmosphere was quieter than other nearby restaurants however the Spanish music from the speaker near us was loud and a little obnoxious due to the cheap and tinny speakers. All in all, there is room for improvement, much better food and better overall atmosphere.

We chose this restaurant based on other reviews. It was a great surprise! The building itself is very airy, but the restrooms could definitely use some work. The servers are very friendly, and the table setting includes cloth napkins, and beautiful table cloths. The food is delicious, and comes out fast. The tortillas in the enchiladas are homemade. The ceviche, happily, was not to oniony. Beef taco and Beef enchilada had fajita meat, not ground beef, which was a pleasant surprise. We had discussion as to whether it should get a four or five star rating. We settled on a 4.

I admit to being a bit skeptical when we first approached. There was only one family in the restaurant and it was really quiet. I’m glad we stayed and tried it out. The guacamole, chips and salsa were very good. Not too salty or heavy with onions. The vegetable fajitas looked and tasted amazing. We also tried the nachos, combo fajitas and quesadillas. Everybody in our party left satisfied. The service was outstanding and even as the crowd picked up the servers were attentive and kept things moving.

We found this place by accident. Wow we were pleasantly surprised. Delicious cream of crab soup and seafood soup. Great salsa. We asked for the spicy salsa and it did not disappoint. Sunday brunch was off the hook. Great service. Very clean and quiet and nice. We will be returning again and again for sure.

This restaurant is the real deal holy field! Doesn’t even compare to the other«mexican restaurants» in the area. True authentic cuisine at this place. If you want dried Mexican rice and beans, unflavored food, combination a b or c, there’s restaurants on 301 that will cater to that. The food is prepared fresh and you can truly taste the quality behind it. I ordered the Combinacion Salteada and the meat was extremely tender as well as fresh seafood. Make sure you order the fried ice cream. Although the place is small and parking can be somewhat difficult, don’t let that deter you from eating delicious food! My advice for parking would be to try to park on the near by streets in the area. Traffic during rush hour is awful but again, this place is well worth it.

The 5 star is only for the sangria as I have not eaten any of their food yet. Sangria is very delicious, not over the top in etoh or sweetness but just the right blend. Recommend getting a pitcher cause u will def want more than one glass

I really enjoy eating at this place. I live in La Plata, where everything Waldorf has we have as well. So there aren’t many restaurant options. Anyways, I usually end up here for dinner. Yes it seems empty from the outside, but the interior is very nice and the staff are very nice. I have eaten here around 3 times and they were all a 5 star experience. I usually stick to the steak and shrimp plate. The steak comes out tender and seasoned well. The shrimp has always been yummy. My hubby usually gets tacos or enchiladas and he enjoys both choices, my mother in law loves the salmon. I know some ppl that say it’s too much money compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area, but it’s worth it, the food is fresh here, the restaurant itself has a better presentation and vibe.

Service great. I had the avocado salad. It was a large salad with probably a whole avocado and nice fresh tomatoes. my husband and son split the beef fajitas. They said the beef was a good quality, good flavor. Chips n salsa also good. Coming from California where we have excellent Mexican food, we were pleased with this place. Only negative would be the décor is lacking and could really use a good coat of paint.

I was up in this area today and figured I’d dial up some Mexican using Unilocal, and favorable reviews led me here. I ordered a frozen margarita… which was very good. It’s nice to see a place that can make a decent one, doesn’t always happen. Chips and salsa were good! The chicken fajitas quality was very good with no complaints. Served with sour cream, diced tomato and guacamole on the side and a separate plate of rice and beans. The beans were whole, good… but I’m used to refried. Flavor was good, maybe this is a traditional approach I don’t know. All in all I had a great dining experience here, and most likely will return when I’m in the area. Wait staff are friendly and efficient, the place inside is well kept, table cloths in dining area. Check it out!

After reading reviews, I decided to try it out. I wasn’t disappointed. The building may seem old, but don’t let it fool you. They have a half Mexican and half Spanish menu. I had the paella, the other people with me had the fajita, and the bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp. Everything tasted great! The salsa they brought was mild, so I asked for a spicy salsa, and boy did they bring it. Tears comin out after a bite. The only thing I didn’t like were the chips, they really need to make some better ones. They are pretty thick. The sangria was good. Not the best, but I will order it again. They do not have draft beer, only bottles. Over all, best Mexican/Spanish I’ve had in the area. Can’t wait to go back.
