Dairy Queen

(3÷10÷2016) Driving northbound on a roadtrip and just wanted a little ice cream pick me up. Stopped in the DQ, it’s a little hard to get into this particular strip mall and into the DQ parking lot, snail trailed it around a bit. Went it, no one in sight for a very long time. One odd guy grinned at me from the back from time to time, but did not offer any assistance. Finally, someone showed up, but said, «just a minute» and took off. This was around 8:00 pm on a weeknight. After our order was finally taken, things went just fine and we hit the road with our ice cream treats. DQ ice cream in general is soft serve, rather bland, but not offensive and not too sweet. Did fine for us.
NOTE: weird young lady wandering the parking lot at night approaching cars and trying to sell «fragrances.» I don’t know what euphemism that’s for around this here part of rural Maryland.

Had a nice time here with my wife and kids today. The service was excellent, the staff was great, and they made us feel very welcomed… even stopping by our table to ask if we were good and if everything was good with our order. Definitely something I did not expect from a fast food place. We will definitely visit this DQ again! KUDOS TO THE STAFF and MANAGEMENT!!!

It was exactly what we expected. Quick, friendly service through the drive-​thru and the ice cream was delicious. I had the cookie dough mini and my daughter had the double fudge cookie dough small.
