I regularly edit my reviews, but only«UPDATE» for a big change. I’ve gone from 5 stars to 4 stars, and after my meal today, I no longer want to go. The service has always been patient and fast, and I tried to forgive the«bigger bowl but same amount» debacle, but I had to spit out HALF of my meat because it was knuckle-meat(fatty, weird, etc). Unacceptable. I don’t know what happened, but it happened slowly and steadily. It’s Lame Broiler.

I totally love going to the flame broiler for a quick beef bowl. It’s much tastier and fresher than Yoshinoya. Unfortunately, this location is below par. They skimp on the quality and quantity. If you look at the picture I posted below, you can see that they only give you 2⁄3 of what they should be giving.

Teriyaki at a good price but wished they had more on the menu and knifes and spoons. Its hard to feed 1 and a 3 year old there.

Over cooked chicken and stingy portions. Wow, I don’t know what has happened, we used to eat here all the time. It has changed in the quality greatly. Don’t know if this is a one off but today’s experience will cause me to think twice before I patronize this location again. Kinda stunk when I walked in to pick up the Togo order– that schools have been an Indicator. My husband, daughter and I only eat veggies and rice but our other 2 daughters eat chicken. They both ate everything but the meat.

For inexpensive and allegedly healthy food, this is the right place! Their sauce is delicious and addictive as well.

This place is conveniently very close to my work, so I end up coming here for lunch. But that’s just it… I end up coming here because nothing sounds better. It’s just okay. It’s a good fall back if I have no cravings or no other options. During the lunch rush, this place gets crazy. It’s right near tons of office buildings, so I highly recommend calling in your order. But this can be a huge hassle. They don’t have a very good system for this yet, so they’ll answer the phone, ask you to hold, and then just drop the phone for a few minutes(not joking… a few minutes) while they take orders. The service is lacking and they don’t seem to care a whole lot, they just want to deal with the people and get them out. I always get the mini bowl, and I ask for white meat, no rice, all veggies(but no cabbage!), and green onions. If you ask for veggies but don’t say no cabbage, that’s pretty much all you’ll get. The meat is a bit dry, so make sure you grab some sauce before you head out. This parking lot is a bit dangerous… lots of people in a rush to get somewhere. Take your time getting out of here or you may be sorry. Haha.

Like any other flame broiler. Only thing I don’t like is that they are stingy with the meat. Today my whole bowl was mostly rice and the bowl was less than half filled. The thing I really don’t like about this place is that I always feel rushed trying to get the magic sauce and hot sauce. Still a healthy choice though.

Good solid food if you’re trying to eat something fast and healthy. Service is always good at this location and is my go to spot post workout.

Great chicken bowl. Eat here often. Magic sauce is good and you can ask for white meat chicken. They are all over the place. Must try.

Visited this location today, YUM! This one girl usually gets my order wrong. I started to think it was me. I wish I knew her name. But today what a difference Heidi took my order and everything was made perfectly. I love the food so I have patience with the other girl. Thank you Heidi for getting my order right and being polite. Maybe you should train the other girl to not assume what people order and learn to ask more questions.

Great option if you’re looking for something healthier! It’s hard finding places that can cater to all sorts of dietary preferences, but at Flame Broiler, you can customize do your heart’s desire. I usually get the Chicken Veggie bowl, and sub out the rice for all steamed veggies! Love that they serve steamed veggies(versus stir-fry). For an even ‘healthier’ option, ask for the magic sauce on the side or «naked chicken». They have sauce dispensers so you can portion out the magic sauce or hot sauce to your liking. The wait time for the food is a teeny bit longer than it should be, but this is easily becoming my go-to place if I want something affordable and HEALTHY. Cash only for orders under $ 20.

There are little slices of heaven in our physical realm that are placed all over this earth. Places where God has allowed us an opportunity to experience heaven on earth. Most times we’re so in tuned to material in this plain of reality that we fail to see the graces bestowed upon us. This food is quite literally the deliciousness of heaven which tastes amazing and is absolutely healthy for you. When you walk in it doesn’t look like much. Your standard restaurant to order food and possibly enter into a state of gluttony. However, once the first bite is taken its almost like a trance of the almighty transporting us into a plain of reality that can only be realized by the savory deliciousness of magic sauce drizzled over chicken and steak that is flame broiled to perfection at its pinnacle. Do not deny yourself this grace

Sorry Yoshinoya, move out the way! Flame Broiler is awesome, and I am glad there are more store fronts everywhere. I generally get the beef plate with white rice and kimchi(instead of salad). This place does not have kimchi :(No kimchi equals a minus 1 star. Some people don’t like kimchi in general, and that’s okay. The one that is served at Flame Broiler is ridiculously good. I haven’t been to every Flame Broiler, but the one near CSUF has the delightful kimchi. It’s by far the most balanced kimchi I have ever tasted. Some places are too sour, others are not spicy, some lack flavor, or the fermented smell is too over-powering. Sorry to steer away from the topic, but this place is very nice and clean. It’s in a really busy plaza — sometimes parking is a hassle. I recommend calling in your order, especially if you have a 30-minute lunch! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, If you’re health-conscious there are options for brown rice instead of white rice. I hardly get the steamed vegetables because the plate comes with a salad and an orange. I have gotten an apple a few times. I feel pretty healthy eating this stuff, until I start pouring the addictive magic sauce A-L-L O-V-E-R my meat — I want to buy barrels of that stuff along with their regular hot sauce. If you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out on great, grilled, and healthy food.

This place is so rude. First of all why do they close at 8 on a Saturday night, I called to make an order to pick up at 7:45 and they said that is was too late to make a phone order so I rushed over there to get to the restaurant by 7:55. We had five min to make the order still but no as in getting up to the door a lady comes out to tell me they’re closed and I said we have 5 min and before I could get that out she closes the door on my face. I couldn’t believe they would turn down business and be so rude about it. If they are going to turn me down then their closing time should be 7:45 not 8. I’m so mad I will never go back to this location to deal with RUDE employees.

Great location! I’ve had bad experiences with other flame broilers but at this location, you get what you pay for! Meaning, they actually give you a good amount of food! Great place to eat.

They would get 5stars but I’m a cheapskate which means I don’t like paying more then $ 5 for my own meal, so its nothing against the establishment I just feel its a little pricey. But at the end of the day I’ll still pick Flame Broiler over fast food majority of the time. And it does fill you up, so its all good. Good food, good service, and it is a healthier choice over a those other fast food joints.

I can’t say enough good things about this location. As a person that has eaten across so cal at flame broilers I’ve grown to avoid some like the plague and leave accurate ruthless truthful reviews. This franchise location is my favorite!!! The amount of food you get is comparable to none!!! Try Yorba Linda’s for instance or Ontario(those two are from one franchise owner) and theyre gross, a pittance of brunt dry meat. I have never ever had a bowl here that was not consistently cooked and packed. There’s no variation. There’s no some days you get more meat some days you get less. Just good prices good portions and cleanliness. Having eaten at the one at universal studios this week which I loaaaaathe and only do in an emergency, this place reminds me why I love the chain so much.

This location has become more and more run down, it is one of the closest locations to me and they offer the stamping card to get free drinks and bowls. The inside paint needs to be redone and the seating area should be cleaned off more often, but a great place to order to go. Good portion size, and they are quick with their service.

Big FLAME on the BROILER I’ve been here a few times but not this location! In fact I really didn’t know this location existed until I passed by and happen to glance over and spotted the sign. If you like QUICK, HOT fast food sudo-Korean, sudo-Chinese, sudo-Everything Asian style this is your place! They pride themselves on «No MSG» which is supposed to be bad for you but to me its what makes the food taste YUMMY! Plus I never seem to have an issue when I’m in Asian countries like growing a third eye or something. The menu is pretty basic. You pick a meat, veggies, or half of each, and rice type since they are trying to be healthy so you can get brown or white rice. If you get a plate you get a mini salad of sorts and a piece of fruit which is usually an half of an orange. I don’t usually get any rice because I really feel that they put too much rice in or on the plate as to NOT have to give you as much meat or veggies! If you’re a carnivore you want meat NOT a bowl of rice! I have nothing against bunny food eater I just know what I like and MEAT is definitely on that list! My order usually consist of chicken and veggies bowl no rice white or brown! High protein style! You can also get JUST veggies if that is your thing. The veggies are steamed slightly as NOT to be over cooked draining them of every nutrient so that is a plus! Thus the veggies tend to be a bit on the crunchy side but not totally raw! My food is ALWAYSNICE and HOT even when I get it to go it is STILLHOT enough to eat WITHOUT having to NUKE in the microwave which is probably bad for me but I haven’t started to glow yet! They have forks and chopsticks but like I have mentioned before I am a bit of a chopstick snob thus I use my own that I always have handy(desk drawer, home, car)! They even have their own carry case! They have this stuff called«Magic Sauce» which tastes a lot like Hoisin sauce mixed with some teriyaki sauce, which is pretty good but has a lot of sodium in it. I know because my fingers always swell in the middle of the night and look like little sausages in the morning. They have something called«Hot Sauce». I don’t know what that tastes like because I don’t do SPICY! I’m a bit of a wimp in that department! You able to help yourself to each of these by squirting it directly on your food or into a little plastic container provided. Over all I’d go back again and again until the food changes! It’s quick and the service has ALWAYS been GREAT! Plus there never seems to EVA be a lot of people inside when I go which speeds everything up a bit and gets me in and out in a jiffy!

Have seen this restaurant ooodles of times. Always crowded, from the day it opened. Never ventured in because from the name. I thought they sold burgers. Then I read a few Unilocal reviews and realized I was missing out. Checked out the menu online before going into the store which is very clean. Menu’s simple. .. chicken, beef or chicken&beef over rice with salad and steamed veggies. I ordered the Works(chicken&beef) plate. As advertised: no MSG, no skin, no dairy it’s healthier than most teriyaki plate lunches bacause the food is not salty, over sauced or oily. — Beef had gristle, not as tender as I would have liked. — Chicken, perfectly lovely. — Rice, nice consistency. — Half an orange adds a nice balance to the meal. — Loved the steamed broccoli, carrots, and especially the cabbage. Next time I’ll order an extra side of veggies. The meals are resonably priced at about $ 8 a plate.
