I recently purchased furniture from Visions and Horatio helped me pick out the perfect furniture for my entire house! Horatio is patient, listens to your needs and is enthusiastic about working with you to find what is ideal for your house. Unlike most furniture shops, Horatio does not pressure you or force you to buy furniture that’s not right for you. Shopping for furniture requires a lot of time and research. Keep in mind that this is a long-term investment and you will get out of it what you put in. Research, research and research before you make a big purchase. We used the catalogs to order our sofas, coffee table, dining table and two bedroom sets. I asked a lot of questions as I couldn’t see the furniture and wanted to get as much of a feel as I could. Horatio explained the measurements, the quality of seating and gave me a breakdown of exactly what I was going to get. I shopped around all the furniture shops just to see what’s new in the furniture world and while I loved to see what all the modern shops have, I found them to be over-priced and if they offered good customer service, you pretty much paid for it through your purchase. Needless to say, I will be back here again and would certainly recommend it to my friends and coworkers!

I came to this furniture store on a Wednesday because i purchased a 5 drawer chest a few years ago. And the chest is in good condition minus all the screws amd rollers broke and needed to be replaced. So the worker named carmello or something like that said yeah, no problem we can have the pieces here for you at no charge saturday or sunday at no charge as long as i install it myself. No problem. So saturday no call. Sunday no call. Fine i called monday and asked if my pieces promised were in and he said no he did not order them because now he wants to charge me $ 4 per piece, mind you, each drawer needa 2 sets of pieces so this is $ 8 times 5 drawers. $ 40 total. Really, he said it was free and now after no call, its $ 40. That was wrong. He could have given it to me for free because he was mistaken about being free. And i went to pick up my sample piece that i unscrewed so he could order and he just had this stupid dumbfounded look on his face. I will not be biying furniture from here. He said within one year they will fix it. He knew i bought it 4 years ago from the beginning. Waste of my day and weekend and now we have 2 go yet another week with broken drawers.

Today is 09/17/2015, This past Sunday, I bought a bunk-bed, dresser & bunky boards from this furniture store. I was greeted by a salesman named Mike. He sold me the above items and told me they were getting deliver by Wednesday of this week. He said he was only going to deliver the bunk-beds because the dresser was costumed made and two weeks were needed to make it. I had no problem with that but I made him clear I needed the bunk-beds and the bunky boards for my family members no later than wednesday. The salesman also told me that he might not deliver the dresser because it counted as two deliveries unless I paid more money. I explained to him that I had already paid and extra $ 69.00 for delivery and why he was going to charge me an additional amount to deliver the other items. Mike said he was just following procedures set by the store. After we went back and forth on the total sale. He agreed to deliver the dresser at the front door of my house. He said, «we are not getting paid to carry it inside your house, of course, unless you paid more money to the driver.» I could not believe what he was telling me and for this reason I decided not to buy the two mattresses from this store. Wednesday came around and I did not even get a phone call telling me why they had not deliver the beds. When I called them back on Thursday morning, I was told by another salesman that they had no knowledge of any deliveries. The previous salesman had the day off and there was no record of any deliveries at all. I explained to him my situation. I had bought the bunkbeds for my mother and daughter to sleep on them and its been four days that they been sleeping on the floor waiting for the beds. This new salesman told me he would personally call me today to find out what happened and to let me know the new time and day of the delivery. Well this guy never called me back. Customer service seems to be a big problem for this furniture store. I read the other entries on this store and they all complained about the service and customer service. It is obvious that they have not been adequate trained to deal with customers. When I tried to call them back the same day, I was told to wait on the line because he was on another call and I waited for more than 3 minutes. It was obvious he forgot about me and I hanged up. I will be going in person tomorrow to speak with the owner of this store. I will be posting my experience with him.

If I could give them, 10NEGATIVESTARS, I would. DONOTDEALWITHTHISFURNITUREDEALER, NOMATTERWHAT. We ordered a combined dining + living + bedroom set, all from the same collection. There were 17 pieces in all. The dealer ordered 14 of those from the manufacturer. And despite a 6 – 7 weeks of estimated delivery time, we waited over 4 months before they even had availability of even a single piece That’s when the problems started. They were offering us only 14 pieces instead of the full 17. The dealer(in this case the owner Steve Makkawi) wanted us to pay 92% of the total($ 6400) which included almost 50% of what it would cost us to buy the remaining three items elsewhere(worth about $ 1200). It was a package deal: all-or none. There were not even itemized prices for various items on the sales order. Just for the package. We gave them 2 extra weeks notice to fulfill the order. Failing to hear, we contacted our credit card bank which opened an enquiry. After they heard from our Credit Card Bank, then they placed an order with the manufacturer for the remaining three items. Clearly, there was an attempt to change the original order since the dealer did not order all 17 items together but only 14 of them for us. They were just trying to increase their profit margin and hoping that after a rather long wait we will accept whatever they offer us. They even claimed that we signed a rough handwritten worksheet that they had used to do their calculations. My name was written on it(by them) but we didn’t sign anything, nor was it part of the sales contract. It was their internal worksheet. Now, the harassment has started. The dealer is unable or unwilling to fulfill the original sales contract but is now trying to browbeat us into accepting whatever terms he determines, in whatever time frame he determines when clearly it is because of poor business decisions he made. There are now threats that they will forfeit our $ 2000 if we do not accept the partial order. This has proved to be quite an ORDEAL, and we are feeling to say the least, mentally harassed. Part of a chain. Dealt with the Imperial/La Palma location. ABSOLUTEWORST customer service. Delivered a scratched $ 600 dining table and waited 2+ months for the new one to come in only to be hassled about a delivery time. Delivery and installation fee but they can only deliver between 11−2pm M-F? What a joke. As an ex retail manager I know good vs poor service and this place is an absolute JOKE. Take your $$ elsewhere.

HORRIBLE!!! do not buy your furniture here… they delivered my couches when I purchased them 7 months ago one couch came with the nice designed wooden feet the other couch’s feet seem to be missing so they provided these cheap plastic feet that look nothing like the other ones. So I paid the remaining balance over the phone after conferming they would deliver the actual feet that came with the couches. I called literally about 15 times left my phone number for the owner Steve that was arranging the drop off out of all the times I called him I got 1 voicemail from him called him back never returned my calls. And of course anybody who answered the phone said they couldn’t help me because Steve was handling it. Obviously not. 2 weeks ago I spoke with the rep and told him 7 months is a ridiculous amount of time to be waiting for those feet he agreed and said he would have them delivered Friday. Friday came no delivery no phone call wasn’t surprised. I called yesterday and finally Steve answered he remembered me and said«my guy tried to deliver them to you twice he called ur phone and u didn’t answer» I was furious because I knew either 1 he was lying or 2 they didn’t call the correct number. His excuse was maybe they dialed the wrong number, really!!! I told him out of all the 15 times I left my number u dialed the wrong number? Because I never got a call. I don’t understand how you can sell a person a product and not provide them with the entire product that they paid for, not even a phone call. 7 months later I still have not received the feet on my couches it looks terrible in my living room. Poor customer service not worth the hassle.

I am torn, in reviewing. I have 2 experiences with Visions. First, we went to Living Spaces and there was a bedroom set that we really liked, but it was not available at the time. So we started looking around. We ended up at Visions(obviously) and granted they don’t stock anything, we told Ted what we were looking for and he pulled out the catalogue and found it. Then some calculating and in a flash he offered us the same furniture, from the same manufacturer, delivered for $ 400 less than LS… although it would take a week longer than ordering it from LS… Hmm wait a week longer for $ 400… nothing to think about. When the time came they arrived, unboxed brought everything into the house, and took the boxes with them. Second review, we bought a recliner chair. After about a year it started falling apart. I don’t blame the store for the merchandise falling apart, except they should not be selling crap brands that fall apart. Overall sales and selection is A-OK.

I purchased some bonded leather coaches from Vision, and I paid extra for leather on the back’s of the coaches. When they came I did’nt notice that the backs were vyinl and not leather and the driver took my receipt. The coaches started getting small holes and the foot part of the chaise is starting to cave in. When I call them they say that they will look into it and I never get a call back. The other customer is right, they have your money and they don’t care. Basically the coaches are JUNK. PLEASEDON’T BUYFROMTHEM!!! iIf the owner would like to do the right thing please look up my order and get these coaches fixed!!! Elizabeth Gonzalez

Camillo was extremelly nice, but that does not make up for the poor experience I had. I purchased chairs from them in the past, but they were the floor model so I picked it up immediately. This time I ordered a table from a catalog they had. First of all, the table was on backorder but not the chairs, we waited for two weeks and finally decided to choose a different table — again from a catalog. The second table was in stock but the chairs were on backorder because the manufacturer had come out with a new catalog and discontinued the old chairs. Wait another couple of weeks and finally decide to go look again(we paid in full for the original table at the time we placed the order). We see some chairs that are similar to the ones that go with the second table but they are a different manufacturer. Camillo offers to get a sample of the wood from the chairs to see if it will match the table — this takes a week and a half. The wood sample shows that the color is a close match so we go with it — table from one manufacturer and chairs from another and we can get it delivered on Friday. Well, they didn’t have enough items to pick up on Thursday(Camillo’s day off) so the owner cancels all pick-ups on Thursday, so no delivery on Friday. I was mad because we were having company on Sunday and had expected the table and had sold our old one a few weeks before. We finally got the table and chairs delivered the next Wednesday and it looks great — but it took about five weeks from when we ordered and paid. Again, Camillo did all he could to help us, but it seems like the owner had our money and didn’t care about helping us and trying to expedite anything for us. There’s only so much a sales person can do if the owner doesn’t care. If you’re buying what’s on the floor, they’re great — if you want to order, go down the street to Living Spaces.
