Cabo Taco Baja Grill

Somewhat overpriced, not that impressed by this place! I have had better food elsewhere for cheaper prices and better dining area!

Went into this restaurant to order lunch to go. This was my first and last time at the restaurant. Person behind the cash register played the game of acting like she could not hear what I was ordering. Although I gave her the order twice, she still «could not hear what I was saying» and refused to come from behind the counter so she could hear me. As competitive as the restaurant industry is in Southern California, I would think the individuals working in a restaurant would do everything they could to attract and retain customers. I will not return to this establishment.

I don’t know how this place is getting even 3 stars. This place is definitely whitewashed taco place.
The salsa was a dark tomatillo salsa but its so bland. The margaritas were served in regular water glass, and very watered down. I’d say it was 7 – 11 slushy not really margaritas. The horchata Had so much ice I thought they gave us lemonade.
The 2 stars are for the Pozole it was decent but we didn’t even get. a.lemon. C’mon.
The potato taco was bland what else, I think this place is afraid of flavor, seasoning. Sorry to give a low score but it was a disappointing meal is rather have gone to Taco Bell, Live Mas.
This place Live Meh.

Just wanted to say that I still love this place! You should definitely try a beer dinner! It’s a 4 or 5 course pre-​fixed menu with a different beer paired to each course. It’s done once a month, & they’re on fb & instagram, so you can see the details (& fun limited time menu additions) there.:)

Amazing craft beer selection lovingly paired with really creative and delicious food. Great «healthy» menu to help kick off the diet — I don’t feel like I’m dieting on delicious jerk chicken tacos with a tangy mango salsa, especially paired with a coffee stout from Coronado brewing. Cool patio for a 72 degree February afternoon!

Excellent beer selection on draft and bottled. The service was delightful. Transcendence atmosphere; you positively forget you’re in the LM Center. Most of all, 5 stars because they had Gardein VEGAN taco meat substitute for their street tacos! I love the progression, thank you!

I like this place a lot. Finally decided to write a quick review. Great selection of beer! Good chips with chipotle-​style salsa. Taco’s are awesome, so is the pork/​carnitas. The owner is a nice, appreciative guy. I like giving good people my money. He supports local events, sports, etc. The place is clean too.
Go any day for lunch or Dinner.

Great Service. You seat yourself and waitress was to me quickly with my menu. Staff walks around asking if everything is good but does not pester. Chips and Salsa came out and they are in my top 3 of all time! Pleasantly surprised! My Spanish rice was awesome! Light and flavorful. My Burrito was great as well. I had the green chile burrito, and my sauce and chunks of pork were great. I found a lil gem close to work that I will for sure try again! Recommend Gor Sure!

This is my go to weekly restaurant. The salsa is very good, the service is great and the food is delicious! I recommend their chicken sopes, cheese enchiladas, chicken tortilla soup. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Good décor. Good location. Right next to Weight Watchers in case you like the ironic juxtaposition. Well the food was okay. Service was a bit slow. However this is not your chain run of the mill. Support small business all you foodies. The tacos are good the beer selection is good. Not a waste. Service was slow because of under staffing.

We came on a Sunday around 3 p.m. The service was was quick. Chips and salsa as an appetizer are included. I ate the Cabo burrito that was delicious with a scooner of Dos X. The football games were on screens around the restaurant.

This is my family’s go to restaurant! We come here almost every week.
First, the salsa is amazing. We actually come to to this restaurant to buy a pint of salsa for our own dinners sometimes. We love it that much.
Second, the food is delicious. I personally love the cabo burrito. I always get it wet with carne asada, and it is amazing every time.
Third, the food is consistently great. This is why we always come back. We can always expect a great meal and we have never been disappointed.
Fourth, the service is great. The waiters are so nice and friendly. We know them on a first name basis now and it just adds to the positive experience.
Fifth, they always have a wide variety of new types of beers.
Sixth, oh yeah! The SALSA IS AMAZING! Sorry did I already mention that? Yes it’s that good.

Awesome little spot. Great service and awesome Irish nachos and beer! Will be back here again. The michaladas are Delish. Nice and cold and a good size…

Definitely my favorite place to come for Mexican food in this area. If you’re visiting Knotts Berry Farm, this place is well worth the 15 minute drive. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff is friendly, and the food is served quickly. My waitress checked back regularly to refill my drink and to make sure I was enjoying the food. This is one place I try to stop by and visit every time I’m in the area.

Waited almost half an hour just for someone to take our order. The service was terrible, and the waitress ignored us after I asked for a little more time to look at the menu. Finally another employee took our order.
The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. I had the nachos, and my friend tried the jerk chicken tacos. It wasn’t bad, but it tasted pretty generic. Given the amount of good Mexican restaurants in the area, I doubt I will be returning here anytime soon, would not recommend.

This place never lets us down! Quick lunch while on office schedule.

Came to this Mexican Restaurant in the La Mirada Shopping Center located right next to Starplex movie theater. The recent visit was my second time here. My first visit about a year ago was pretty good during the night time.
Food: First visit I’ve remembered was getting the 2 Baja Chicken Tacos which has bacon, grilled peppers, tomatillo-​chipotle sauce, and cotija cheese. Not bad, the chipotle sauce and the peppers had pretty good kick to it, so it was little bit spicy. Second visit which was my recent visit, ordered the 2 fish tacos combination for lunch. The fish tacos has cabbage, chipotle dressing and salsa fresca. I really like how they put chipotle dressing on the fish tacos which is a big plus in my book. Overall on the tacos, I preferred the fish tacos over the baja tacos. And the lunch combination comes with salad, spanish rice, and beans It was great. This is really worth getting.
Price: Very reasonable. If you come during lunch time, you can get the lunch special which is usually cheaper. For the one item lunch combination is $ 6.95. And the two items combination is $ 8.95. Oh, and when you check-​in via Unilocal,you can get 10% off your bill.
Service: The waiter was very nice and friendly.
Overall: 4.5÷5 stars which rounded up to 5 stars.

So I came here for Cinco De Mayo with my girlfriends and we were a little disappointed. It wasn’t even crowded yet because we came early, and the service was horrible! It took 15 minutes to get water and the chips and salsa were very average. We had to wait another 15 minutes for them to charge our cards at the end too.
Also the atmosphere was a little weird, and there wasn’t even any music playing.
The food was actually pretty good, but I wouldn’t come back because of the whole experience we had. If you go I would recommend the street tacos.
Don’t forget to check in for the discount.

Always great service from waiters/​waitresses. My usual spot for lunch and/​or dinner with my husband.
Food is always fresh and delicious.
Their new varieties of tacos are great and daily specials are always worth trying.
My husband enjoys the variety of craft beers on tap featured as well as their bottled beer menu. Always rotated.
Favorites that we get are the camarones baja, chile verde fries, and the baja tacos. But seriously everything on their menu is awesome and never disappoints.
