Came and got a California burrito. It came out super quick. Unfortunately the fries tasted barely cooked and were super greasy still. Like not the greasy you want. Only kind of place Od stop by again if I were in the area and had to eat quick.

You know the food is really good, but the customer service is the only problem I have with this place. I come here because the quality, but every time I’ve gone through the drive through, I’ve been over charged or my order has been messed, all they do is say sorry. I’m a pretty patient person working in customer service so I have never thought it was a big deal. Until recent it’s made me uncomfortable how they treat someone who is ordering from there shop. There are plenty of other places to where I feel like in spending my money and being treated like a human.

Greasy California burrito. Soggy fries that were more like hash browns. Lots of onions in pico de gallo. Meat had good flavor. Scary meat: you get surprised by chewy, fatty, or hard bites. Really fast, but rude employees

We hadn’t been in a few months. Food used to be better. My machaca burrito was full of burnt onions and the meat was dry and unseasoned. My coworker ordered a King burrito. It supposedly had enchilada sauce in it, but we didn’t see any. Looks like we’ll try the shop across the street next time.

Best place and drive-through! They always get the order right and have the nest carne asada. Way, way better than than that place across the street that has a ton of great reveiws, unless those people are all from the Midwest and don’t expect real Mexican food, I just have no idea how Rigabertos is not rated higher. So much more meat included compared to almost every taco shop around.

At least three stars! Big screen TV to watch while you are waiting for your order… Friendly enough customer service… Caldo de res was delicious on this wet cold day, too bad they don’t serve posole… Husband ordered carne asada nachos… loved their lil condiment station… Nonstop drive thru action… enough seats inside if you decide to dine in… stop by, try the food… Decide for yourself. Thank you for dinner Rigo!

This place used to be good. It’s right across from the Hearth House, so even if you don’t get a good meal you’ll get a good show. Kudos to the drunk 5’4″/110lb girl who ate an entire order of carne asada fries to herself last time I was there. However, it’s a restaurant, not a show. And their food sucks. Rigo used to be my amigo, now I go to Tito’s down the street. The quality of their food has dropped off sharply in the last couple years, and I don’t mean food prep; they are buying the cheapest, lowest quality ingredients they can, and it really shows. Carne asada burritos here have at least one big chunk of gristle in every bite; the ham they use in their breakfast burritos is the exact same way. Spend an extra buck or two, buy something that is human grade and not dog food, and I’ll give you another shot. I wish I was exaggerating; I’m a loyal enough customer that I kept going to Rigo’s for months, waiting for the quality to improve. After a couple months of gristly carne asada, I had enough. Skip it and go to Rosarito’s up on Lake Murray Blvd or to Tito’s on Parkway dr next to the 7⁄11.

I have never had a bad order. They are pretty close to authentic. I loved their chicken chimichanga plate. Great prices for your dish and the salsa bar is perfect.

The burritos are huge. Hungry man size. If your a woman with a smaller appetite(like me) you’ll feel guilty about having to throw out half a burrito. I wish someone would make smaller size burritos with better quality meat.

Odered in drive thru 2 Carne asada fries and fries were either stale or REALLY undercooked! But im betting on them being undercooked, almost as if they were just dipped in the oil to defrost. Very disappointing. Although it looked really good presentation wise, you can still tell it was half assed. Had to drive all the way back so they can re make my order and when I got there the lady at the register had an attitude. How do you have an attitude when im not the one pushing out shitty food?! Im the one actually making an attempt to pay for the pathetic attemp at Mexican food you guys are making. when my order was finally done the fries looks ok but the portion of the carne asada was cut in half, the pico de gallo was almost non existent I had to actually ask for a side of pico de gallo, and they gave me no salsa no forks and no napkins. Do you guys really take pride in your food or your service? $ 22 for half assed food and service? Id rather go elsewhere next time and I suggest other people do to.

When I want good Mexican food in La Mesa, I come here. Whether it is 3:30am or lunch time the food is always above par. This coincides with the AMAZING salsa bar with as many spicy carrots you can eat makes for one of the better Mexican restaurants in San Diego. –one love–

I went inside this location the other day and ordered about $ 30 bucks of food for a small family dinner, including an order of 3 rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese. While I was getting salsa from the bar, another lady walked up an ordered 3 rolled tacos with guacamole. When her order came up, I saw her break off the end of one of the tacos with her bare hand and promptly returned them — stating that they were too hard. She quickly got a replacement. My order then came up. I opened the rolled taco container and noticed that one of the rolled taco ends were completely broken off. I went up to the lady and asked her if the rolled tacos I had looked like the one she returned and she said yes. I returned the tacos and demanded a replacement, which I watched them cook. I’ve been to this location many times, the food is pretty standard and they have a good salsa bar. But I’ll never go back. The fact that that they tried to give me an order someone else touched and returned, trying to pass it off as new, is really horrible and a violation of health laws. It really shows how much they care about the quality and safety of their food. I can only imagine what other despicable cooking practices they employ.

Okay I just finished a Bandito burrito from Rigoberto’s it was the size of my two manhand fists put together. So delish and full of meat and the chile relleno I couldn’t believe how delicious this burrito was. The restaurant is super tidy and clean the people that work there are very friendly and outgoing and their salsa bar with hot carrots was definitely a great addition to the meal. Wife had the Cali burrito and of course she could not finish it will definitely be back soon thanks.

Not the worst place in San Diego county, but definitely below average. The quality and quantity have significantly declined over the last 4 years. THE only good thing about this place is that it’s open 24 hours. The burritos are overpriced. They also charge $ 0.30 to use your debit card. salsa bar is decent, not great though. Im sure I’ll return on a desperate night. Edited Note: Chris M. gets offended if you leave constructive, honest reviews of your experience at restaurants that he likes… he’ll likely send you private messages in a pathetic attempt to express his anger. Clearly the result from poor parenting or no parenting. I’m sorry that your parents don’t love you Chris :/

For some reason I’ve been avoiding Rigoberto’s shop for a while now, I remember having a terrible experience here when I first moved to the area back in 09. Second chances are a must for places and this time Rigoberto’s did not disappoint as much. Located in a previous taco bell building off Jackson drive just across the street from El Azteca is Rigoberto’s. A 24 hour taco joint that serves up your typical SD Mexican food with a DRIVETHRU!( ) Rigoberto’s is a San Diego chain taco shop joint with various other restaurants scattered around the county. Their menu( ) offers up the standard array of San Diego Mexican dishes with burritos, tacos, quesadillas, menudo(everyone is doing this now), tortas, salads, fries/chips, etc. They have some special burritos including the Rigoberto’s breakfast burrito, which I ended up getting this time around, because breakfast burritos for dinner are great. The salsa bar( ) here is perhaps one of the best things about this place, with seven sauces, peppers, limes, and carrots you cannot go wrong with this awesome salsa bar. To top that off, all seven of their sauces are great tasting with their habanero one being rather spicy. The Rigoberto breakfast burrito had eggs, asada, cheese and fries( ). It was a typical sized San Diego burrito( ) I did enjoy their tortilla shells here, very fresh tasting. I had them add some beans to the burrito and they did not let me down, plenty of beans and meat in this thing. The carne asada meat tasted delicious, not too greasy and very flavorful.(I do not care for greasy burritos one bit). The scrambled eggs and string french fries were both cooked perfect which added even more to the great tasting asada. Rather decent burrito I must say, it did not disappoint. The three rolled tacos( ) however were quite different in quality terms compared to the burrito. While they had no qualms about piling the top of the tacos with tomato, cheese and guac the tacos themselves were horrible. The rolled tacos had a not so good stale texture to them which led me to believe they didn’t cook these right. The meat inside the tacos was practically non-existent and the taste was just as bad. II cannot vouch for the rolled tacos here one bit, a total let down. Their guacamole( ) is quite runny, and doesn’t have a avocado taste to it, I wonder what they add to make it so creamy looking. Rigoberto’s overall was a hit and miss. While some items had really good quality to them(meat, cheese, potatoes) some of the other core ingredients like beans and guac tasted rather weird. To top that off, the rolled tacos were unfinishable. I’m so glad I only got three.

Food’s decent, albeit kind of overpriced. The restaurant itself felt really dirty, and I kind of didn’t want to sit in the booth.(I did, though. Who wants to eat nachos standing up?) I wasn’t super hungry, so I got the nachos, and they were fine. Chips, cheese, and guacamole; kind of hard to mess that one up! The burritos looked good, but again, they seemed a lot pricier than others I’d seen.
