We first went to Rick about 10 years ago to have some frames and glassware cleaned up on 4 pieces of art. He did a great job. Then we brought him an older painting and asked him to re-​mat and frame it to replace the old frame. Again, he did a great job. We started collecting art from a local downtown artist, and bought a book of his work that included a small print. We took that to Rick, and said «make it look good.» It was awesome. This week, we picked up the latest item. It’s a copy of my partner’s great grandparents marriage certificate. Once again, we left it up to Rick to decide what would look good. He is amazing with his choice of colors for matting, and style/​color of frame. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe just how good he is. If you need anything framed, take it here. You won’t be sorry.

I walked into Rick’s Custom Framing for the first time on Tuesday morning. I told him about a project I had in mind (put UV glass on a framed quilt) and he clearly explained my options. I asked for a ballpark estimate that he gladly gave. We brought the project in several hours later and Rick’s estimate turned out to be the actual cost. He told use the framed quilt would be ready in a week and a half. Imagine our surprise when he called the next day to say it was ready! The framed quilt looks amazing, Rick’s work is excellent, and we are very pleased customers.

I’ve had Rick frame numerous items over the years. He brings an artist’s eye to each piece and is a true master of his craft. Many times I’ve entered his shop with an idea of what I wanted, only to have Rick suggest another approach that lifted the appearance from good to magnificent. Rick works to archival museum standards, so your item becomes not only an attractive display piece, but is also safe from the ravages of time for years to come. You and your treasures are in very safe and capable hands at Rick’s, and you will always be impressed with the final results.

I’ve been using Rick’s Framing off and on for nearly 20 years. I would trust no one else with my valuable family photos, mementos, prints, and artwork. His prices are better than Aaron Brothers, and you get Rick himself – a great guy who’s very responsible and has a good, artistic eye. He’ll be there in another five years, when the fly-​by-​night staff at Michaels’, etc., left eons ago!

If you need a frame for your artwork or poster and you want courteous, friendly service, go to Ricks’ Custom Framing. I went in this morning for a simple fix on a framed poster. The two men working behind the counter were so nice! They were working on a custom frame for another customer but were still able to help me with my issue. They fixed my frame quickly… within minutes. The service couldn’t have been any better, which is why Rick’s Custom Framing will be getting my business again in the future.
