A bit expensive for the place, it’s not exactly nice-looking and the tables are not in great quality. Of course, if you really don’t care about the place and just feel like playing pool then by all means go there but there are better quality places for the same price or cheaper.

Kisawana is the greatest bartender ever. Diana is pretty cool as well. They have pool and beer what more can a man desired? They do have food, soda, and great people.

What a gem! My girlfriend and I stopped in last night for some food and a beer, I was surprised when we walked in! Looks like an old timey pool hall with a lot of space in between tables and it was clean! Food was good and wait staff were on top of it and super friendly! We were given a free hour of pool at our next visit! This is a great place to hook up on a date, with friends, or just by yourself! I’ll be going back time and again!

The beer and service is quite good. However, whoever keeps playing 1970’s Filipino Ballad tunes needs to knock it off. If I wanted to make love to a middle aged Asian woman I’m all set, but I want to drink beer and play pool. Also, they explicitly forbid taking house owned pool sticks into the bathroom. Wtf? Why would I take a pool stick into the bathroom with me?

Wow so I go here all the time and we come late and at 1:59 am they say there closed while the girl working has 3 other people still playing a pool game and she wouldn’t even let us finish our game! They are still playing after locking the doors how rude!

I don’t have vast amounts of pool hall experience and from the outside this place looks pretty sketchy, so I was slightly apprehensive about going here with my friend. But I was pleasantly surprised there was nothing creepy about it and the juke box even had Taylor Swift which I found amusing. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s are 50% off student night(I’m pretty sure) so that was a great deal. The only downside was the first few pool cues we tried using were super worn down but other than that I had a lot of fun.

This is the best place to play pool in San Diego. The girls that work there(Danielle and Kiwi) are really friendly and helpful. The tables play very good and they have a fantastic tournament on Monday nights.

Massive pool hall. Pretty overwhelming for the first timer. Probably the largest I’ve ever been to. Great rates, solid tables and ok cues. Give them a lot of credit for keeping up the tables being so many and all the use they get. The bar needs some serious help. Got some Sierra Nevada and the keg line was dirty and tasted a little flat. Beer and wine only. Food looked and sounded scary. Lots of locals and pretty busy. Some whacky ass music being played in here. Took advantage of their Unilocal 25% off check in. Cost me $ 25 for 3 beers and over 2 hours of pool which makes this place a major score, sans the music. Common theme in east county.

So as part of my birthday celebration I wanted to challenge my husband to a game of pool. We both have not played in many, many years but I felt confident that I would be the winner of the games. Based on our passed challenges I have beaten him on the tennis courts, bowling alley and at the poker table. We found«On Cue Billiards» on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. The hostess– cashier«Kiwi» was so friendly and helpful. It cost $ 9.00 an hour to play. They of course supply everything you need. The setting was very low key with dim lighting and it was very clean. Apparently you can reserve tables(several tables had a reserve sign) and they have tournaments on occasion. The pool sticks they supply and the pool tables were in very good shape. To make your visit more enjoyable they serve beer and wine. My husband and I played 4 games of pool he won one and I won three. Two of which I won because he hit the 8 ball in at the wrong time(oops sorry) winning any way I can as long as I win. With a Unilocal Check-In you get 25% off.

Place has lots of nice tables, friendly atmosphere and a good drink selection. Plenty of parking also. I’ve been here several of times and each time was a good time. I recommend this place for hanging out and shooting some good pool with friends or even some serious pool or tournaments.

Great place, good tables and friendly workers. There Monday night handicap tournament is for«C» level and higher. The best from San Diego play here. Extremely high competition. Great place for me to go and watch great players. I sometimes drive from Encinitas to play(get beat), but great fun. Players are nice about playing me «C» level player. Lower level handicap tournament with great tables in North County is PQ in Encinitas were I play most weeks. But it is definitely worth the drive to watch and learn. Thanks for great place to play in South County.

I don’t have much experience in playing pool but this place was cool and i had a great time with my friend so as far as that it was a good place to hang out and play a couple games. We will probably be going back and they had buckets of beer so for next time I will remember that.

In a shrinking pool-hall scene in San Diego, On-Cue stands alone as one of the best, professional, well-maintained-pool-halls. With the addition of the 7″ Diamond tables the place now has offerings for every age group and playing skill. League players mingle with pro players, families, youngsters on a date and die-hard regulars that occupy the tables from the moment the place opens in the morning and typically throughout the entire day. The tables are well-kept, vacuumed often and wiped down daily and the felt is in good shape for the amount of use(and abuse) it takes on a daily basis. On-Cue also offers high-level tournaments that draw tens of players from around the county and beyond. These tournaments are currently the best place to see and play high-level pool in San Diego. The food offerings are typical«Let’s see what Sysco is offering on sale this week» affair, which is to say«bar affair». And not the«good kind» of bar affair. This is understandable because the place has no professional kitchen so food offerings are limited to what can be made behind the counter. Un upgrade to the food is needed to assure patrons stay longer and choose to eat in rather than leave for food. Highlights include: Attentive owner. Great playing tables. Good upkeep and maintenance. A pool player’s place. Things to consider: Adding a few more 7″ tables Food upgrades

As a friendly pool player from out of town looking for cheap bet action, this place was better than I could’ve imagined. Met some really cool pool players, played cheap one pocket nine ball and even three cushion. Had a great time good prices too didn’t get gouged on the pool time either. Definitely had a MUCH better feel than when I walked into college billiards about ten minutes away. Felt much safer here, overall a great room for pool players. Had a very good experience. If I’m ever back in San Diego I will definitely be back here.
