Every time I come here, I have a really good experience. I always hate getting up enough motivation to go but then when I’m there, I feel good that I went. The teachers have all been great and helpful when I need some adjusting. They have been very nice and welcoming to me. For something that is very personal and part one’s well being, the teachers know how to help you enjoy your hour you have with them.

Such a great sweaty yoga class taught by Natalie. She was amazing. Instructions were great and massage and adjustments were awesome. I felt so pampered. I would definitely go again. Thank you Natalie. Looking forward to try C2 class. The only thing I would recommend is making the room darker so there is not so much light.

I absolutely love CPY! The instructors are all fabulous, but Tanya is my fave :) Expensive, but so worth it! Leave every session feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, healthy and soaking wet!

I fell in love with the sculpt class! Josie, Lupe, Lejnno, and Marisa are my go to instructors here. Amazing full body workout! I always explain to people that the sculpt class is a combo of yoga, Pilates and cross fit. I have bad knees and a bad back so depending how they feel that day, the instructors always communicate different modifications to fit your body needs. I do the fusion class too, which works a lot of balance and is the same class/sequence for any instructor so there are no surprises. It’s in a hotter room than the sculpt class. If you are new to Core Power Yoga, get there about 10 – 15 min early and put your yoga mat down towards middle-back of the room because in all classes you turn to each side for different poses… so if you are the middle back, you are able to watch other people at all times and never feel like people are watching you be clueless(def learned this firsthand! :D) Also if you’re anything like me and sweat a lot, a couple of tricks that I’ve learned is to 1) buy a slip free mat(I bought«the mat» at Lululemon) 2) I went on eBay and bought sweatbands for my head, wrists and ankles(a lot of people just wear headbands because you will sweat a lot) 3) I used to get terrible headaches after a week or so of sweating so much so i did some research and eventually went on Amazon and bought«Salt Sticks» which are electrolyte replacement pills that I take after each class and have not had a headache since. This is the only workout in my life I that I’ve ever been excited about doing(and I’m a former division 1 college and professional athlete). You feel amazing after the class and within a couple of hours following class, you can’t wait to do another! Enjoy!

Love this place. I switched from 24 hour fitness and I won’t be going back anytime soon. With every class at core power I’m exhausted and challenged. I’ve been here a month and I’ve already noticed a difference. I used to do body pump at 24 hour fitness religiously and I got too used to it. The classes at core power are some how different each time. The studio at la Mesa is cute and clean. Occasionally there’s sweat on the floor but what do you expect in a heated studio. They also have classes almost every hour, hard to get every drop. I’m happy here.

I love the variety of classes. I love the Hot Yoga with Weights when I really want a faster paced workout that really gets the fire going. But the slower flow ones are great for stretching. What can I say, Im really loving these classes. I got home from a class yesterday feeling so energized, and I am still feeling the glow today. I cant wait till I can get to the next class :) this is perfect for what I need right now. I used to jog a lot, but these days that is just harder for me, my joints etc… and I like how classes offer some structure.

I usually go to CorePower studios close to me(Hillcrest, North Park, Mission Valley). So going to the La Mesa studio after invited by one of my really good friends was a new experience for me. I did my Hot Power Fusion class with Josie last Friday. Her class was very good, her techniques were excellent, and she was great in helping the yogis correct their postures and stances. The place itself was very spacious. There are two rooms at this studio and both look fairly new. My friend told me that this location opened up during the summer. Unlike other studios I normally frequent, the La Mesa location has a larger bathroom. It was also very clean and the classes were less crowded. The parking lot had a decent amount of parking spaces and getting one wasn’t no hassle at all. If this location was closer to me, I would probably go here more often. Otherwise, I would probably keep on going to the same studios I normally go to.

Have been back about 4x since the last review. Haven’t noticed the issues with clean up these last times. One thing I really like about this location is their water bottle filler for their drinking fountain. It tallies the number of bottles of water saved by using it. Very cool and I think the other locations need this as well.
