I’ve been seeing dr aung for 15 years now. He’s always been personable and friendly. He knows I pay cash for my visits because I don’t have insurance so he gives a discount so it’s not so much. I’m not sure what happened with the lady in the other review but it doesn’t found right. I pay $ 57 for my visits. I won’t use any other neurologist.

Stay away, stay away, stay away… Went to see Dr. Aung because we needed a neurology consult ASAP and he was the only one with any availability for several weeks. That was red flag #1. Did a quick online search and found a few very negative reviews for him. Red flag #2. Oh well, need the consult, so hoped for the best and went on in. This is not even an issue of bedside manner. Crotchety old doctors, I can deal with. Ones who blatantly could not care less? Not so much. He did the absolute bare minimum, threw his hands up and told me he didn’t know what the issue was but felt like the problem should resolve itself at some point so have a nice day. Then I found out I needed him to write me a note saying it was okay for me to go back to work. I left 3 messages for him before I finally got a call back the next day. In a rather hostile tone of voice, he told me he couldn’t release me to go back to work because he didn’t know what was wrong with me. Irony much? The kicker? He billed me $ 1500 for that joke of a visit and $ 300 for the phone call. Since when is a «I refuse to write you a note» a consultation for which you can bill $ 300? I intend to fight it. I know we needed a quick consult with a neurologist but in hindsight, I would rather have waited for someone else. I will be avoiding this doctor like the plague, and regret that his notes are anywhere in my medical file.
