We’ve purchased or sold three homes in the last several years, all of my experiences have been positive. When it came time to move to San Diego, we didn’t have as much luck. We went through three realtors in San Diego, unhappy with how self serving, failing to listen to our needs and how pushy they were. Every house we went in they’d say things like, «this is a great deal,» «this is a perfect neighborhood» and «it’s unusual to see this feature at such a price point.» I can’t stand dishonesty. Once we met with Kristin, we walked into a house and she’d ask us our thoughts and immediately adjust our search criteria. Kristin redefined what a positive experience should and does feel like. From the beginning, we were honest with her, and she was honest with us. She made herself available at any time of day on any day. After looking at several properties, she found the right neighborhood at the right price point and we made an offer. It was declined and given to a competing offer, but we found a house nearby that was «almost as nice» and «almost as well priced» and got an offer accepted. One week before closing, Kristin alerted us that the house we really wanted fell out of escrow. She told us this knowing it would cost her the quick payday and even some commission. She wrote up the new offer that day, helped us get all of our deposit back, got the offer signed, and even worked hard to get us a quick close of escrow. During the closing, she ensured everything went smoothly, coordinating FAR beyond any other realtor has ever done, and insisted on hand delivering paperwork all over town to guarantee that we would have a place to live that night. We felt like we were being treated as if we were buying a $ 10 million dollar home, even though our home was just an average middle class house.
