Little trendy place on Prospect with a touch of Frenchness. Observable cause you can smell the Nutella or chocolate sauce in the air! I’ve been there twice, two years ago. That’s a long memory though… First time: Nutella — strawberry crêpe. A classic combination. Beautiful presentation and portion of whipped cream was generous. But the crêpe batter was a bit too thick… that makes the whole crêpe less flavorful. I prefer thin, crispy batter that could better reflect the flavors of the toppings. Second time: a peanut butter– Nutella crêpe with whipped cream. Good idea but I found the combination weird in taste… maybe peanut butter just didn’t go well with Nutella(maybe better with caramel, bananas or chocolate sauce?) won’t challenge this combination again. Though it’s very innovative! Their chocolate sushi style also has a wonderful presentation. Wish I could have the chance to try it — next time on the La Jolla Shores!

Had some free time and wanted to get something sweet so I stopped in here. I got a crêpe with raspberries and meringue. It was average. The crêpe itself wasnt the best. I only gave 3 stars because I havnt tried anything else, however there is a very big menu with some things that sound delicious.

The crepes themselves weren’t bad. Nice heft without being doughy. However has the chicken marinara crêpe as part of the food tour. Not all that … The chicken was tough, and the marinara was tinny. I think crepes are one of those new food fads, like that cupcake thing and the muffin thing of the nineties. I give these places five years

Delicious crepes! We brought our golden retriever on a weekend stroll in downtown La Jolla and stopped by this place for some savory crepes. We were glad that they had a couple of tables set up outside so that we could enjoy the beautiful day. The staff was friendly and gave good recommendations. I tried the gyro crêpe, and I think next time I will try the smoked salmon/lox crêpe since it seems very popular as well.

Champs Elysees… hm… The fruits inside were good. It was interesting how they made the crêpe AND added the strawberries and banana WHILE it was on the machine. I thought it was pretty interesting. Over all. I did enjoy the crêpe. BESIDES the fact that the crêpe itself was over cooked and very chewy. It was like eating a tortilla LOL. If they dont over cook it the next time im in the area. ill update this review to a 5 star. Service was good. The girl who helped us that day was talkative :) Will definitely stop by when im in town again

Went with my family today to enjoy some crepes. I had bought a gift certificate on and had ordered $ 20 worth of crepes, when they told me they would not except the $ 10 gift certificate. I understand them possibly having issues with , but why lose a new customer and an opportunity to show your product? These issue should not be shrugged off onto the customer. The girl at the register said that they had been scammed, but I feel like it’s the customers that are getting scammed by Krafty Krepes.

Krafty Krepes sure has cornered the market in crafting some delicious crepes. Ha! I thought it was quite clever. Anyways, I tried the San Diego Sunrise which came with sliced roasted turkey, tomatoes, basil, and avocado crêpe for $ 7.25. The crêpe was had nice light color and cooked just right where it offered ever so slight crisp exterior( ). It flavor was very good and had tinge of sweetness. The turkey was of very good quality and tasted great and avocado was soft and creamy( ). The fresh basil and tomatoes were light, but the tomatoes gave the crêpe and nice acidity and the basil aroma and fragrance( ). Both were a good choice for this crêpe. The crêpe also came with a tomato type sauce which was good, but a little less would be better, given its flavor profile was a little strong and dominant, but good nevertheless. I like places like this where you can watch your food being created( ). Better yet, the two employees that were working were nice and provided pleasant conversation regarding the craft of making crepes when I inquired. Krafty Krepes eh?

Tried this place out for the first time because crepes are amazing and I was disappointed. Nice little crêpe place, we got the nutella pink banana and it was good. Only down side was that the employee gave us very warm water when I asked for a water cup. Besides that great place.

I really like this place for one very good reason. Have you ever has the dilemma of whether to order a sweet crêpe or a savory crêpe? Well this place makes it easy for you. They offer 2 small creeps for $ 10, so you can get one of each! I went for lunch the other day and was so happy with the result. See my picture attached. I got the Eiffel Tower that had little meringues and the turkey cheese.

Here’s why I gave this place 1 star. My girlfriend and I have been eye Ballin this place for over a year but could never catch it when it’s open. Month after month we kept coming back but it closes so early. 4, 5, 530 it was never open. We caught it today and had such high hopes. First problem was the crappy paper basket that made eating the crêpe frustratingly difficult. And it normally shouldn’t have been. The crepes themselves were boring and just plain ok. OK. all I had was strawberry and bananas in mine… What’s so special about that? We’ve been hunting down places for the best crepes and this was a sore disappointment. An added displeasantry was the mural they had. Not really artistic rather it looked like a 4 year old drew it. If u want good or spectacular crepes, go to Café hue in Kearny Mesa. BEST I’ve ever had.

I had received a gift certificate for Krafty Krepes a few months ago and totally forgot about it till this weekend and decided to give it a try today with Chun P. Wowee wow! This place is great! We should have come by sooner! We were greeted warmly by friendly staff and decided to try the Gyro, Chicken/Fresh Mushroom/Brie and the Nutella/Strawberry/Banana crepes along with a couple of coffees. The crepes were FANTASTIC! While we had a gift certificate — the prices were reasonable and 1-crêpe a piece would have filled us up. Three crepes really put us over the top. While the seating is limited — don’t let that deter you from trying this tasty place. Have a crêpe, take a walk and enjoy the beauty of La Jolla.

Went here on a food tour in San Diego. OHMYLORT this place was phenomenal. This is where I learned crepes can be tasty outside of the desert realm. We had a San Diego Crêpe Special, or something like that, and man was it tasty. :) GOGOGO

Thank you Unilocal for helping me to find another amazing spot! I was looking for a spot in La Jolla that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg and discovered Krafty Krepes. They’re impressive menu of crepes, both entrée and dessert, immediately caught my eye. Even better, the crepes are around $ 6 – 7, which makes me even more happy! My friend and I arrived around 7 p.m. on Thursday(it’s open til 8). The shop is in the heart of downtown La Jolla and parking can be difficult. But once that hassle is out of the way, you can treat yourself to a crêpe! I debated between the smores and the raspberry mousse before the cashier helped me decide on the smores. It was delicious! The crêpe is served sliced, which made it easier to eat and added a nice touch to the presentation. My friend enjoyed her lox crêpe too. My berry smoothie was okay but I’ve had better smoothies and will likely stick to the crepes next time. I’m still thinking about trying the raspberry mousse or the apple spice sounds really good too.

Spent the evening in La Jolla and wanted a quick cheap dinner. Voila… Krafty Krepes! The owner was super nice and explained the menu and everything. I’m a hardcore caprese fan so naturally I had to try their version. It normally comes on foccocia bread(which I really really wanted) but they were out and used sourdough instead. I didn’t mind as it was still super fresh and tasty with yummy tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella. It came with a dipping sauce that was AWESOME. Husband got the San Diego Sunrise crêpe and enjoyed it. We also shared the Strawberry & Cream crêpe which was simple and good. I really wanted to try the Raspberry Mousse crêpe but they were out of raspberries! Boo. One star off for being out of so much food during mid afternoon(the foccocia and raspberries) and also having little to no seating. There’s two tables outside the door and a small bar table area inside. Overall the food was decently priced, delicious, and the owner was very kind. This is definitely the kind of place where I’d like to try everything on the menu.

Not a big place and not too many seats, but in a great location for a quick bite, light snack or dessert! The crepes are delicious, my friend and I ordered the Banana Nutella crêpe and Apple Spice crêpe. They took a while to prepare, but it’s worth the wait. I’m only in town for the weekend but next time I’m back, I will return for some delicious crepes!

My boyfriend and I stopped by for light eating before heading to La Jolla Cove for snorkeling. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered: — Arc de Triumph Crêpe: strawberries, bananas, meringue, whipped cream, powdered sugar. We asked for honey on top — Mushroom & Brie Crêpe(normally a panini, but the cashier informed me that I could turn any panini into a crêpe) Our crepes were delicious! One of the employees recommended that I put Tabanero hot sauce on my mushroom & brie crêpe. It gave it a nice little kick and tasted great with the chipotle mayo that they already provided with my order. The décor was simple but cute, with chalkboard menus, a large wall painting with a scene of people hanging out at the Arc de Triumph, and a sticker on the door that read«Money can’t buy love, but it can buy crêpe.» The only downside I saw to this place was the limited seating. There were 6 bar stools under the painting, 2 two-seater round tables inside, and 2 two-seater round tables outside… for a total of 14 chairs. It was no problem finding a spot for just my boyfriend and me to sit, but I can imagine difficulties dining in with groups of friends. That being said, my boyfriend and I both enjoyed the experience, great service, and yummy crepes. 4 stars!

Might just be the BEST Caprese Sandwich I ever had in my life! The place is kinda tiny and we sat at the bar with high stools. My food came in a little checkered cardboard boat(the kind you would get for a burger from a food truck), and I had my doubts about it. My friend’s Strawberry Banana crêpe was the same way. But when I bit into my Panini. OMG! The flavors exploded in my mouth! The basil, the fresh crisp tomatoes and the oozing mozzarella cheese! My friend’s Crêpe was the super yum and she had the whole thing! They have whole wheat options and some yummy looking soups too. Every bite was heavenly — I actually finished the entire thing, which was was new. lol! The girl who served us was super friendly too and kept smiling the entire time. I would LOVE to be back here and try some of the other stuff.

Inventive krepes and delicious ingredients in this La Jolla gem! Seriously maybe the best place to eat in La Jolla cove… delicious food, reasonably priced, cute ambiance. Think coffee shop meets creperie. They have savory, sweet, and paninis. The sweet ran about $ 8. They have a deal for 210″ crepes for $ 10. I’d opt for that next time, with a savory followed by a sweet. Easy to customize(aka. add nutella, to everything), and service was quick and friendly. Perfect way to start your healthy SD mornings!

YUM! I wish I lived in La Jolla so I could come here more often. I love the high-end shopping area that this cute little creperie is in. The staff members were really friendly, and the portions are HUGE in a very good way. We had the banana, strawberry and Nutella crêpe – delicious. The strawberries and bananas were very fresh, which made me feel better about eating Nutella. We also got whipped cream and chocolate sauce on top(why not go for the whole experience?). They make everything to order, so they crêpe was still warm when we got it. If I lived in the area I would be here often to try all their flavors.
