I was at images of nature today. The art is wonderfully displayed and so beautiful. I visit here every trip to la jolla just to see what’s new! Tom Mangleson has a true eye for beauty. He could easily charge triple the price for his work but he keeps his prices reasonable. This gallery is a must see in LaJolla. The employees are very nice and truly seem to love their job. I look forward to my next visit!

If you are in La Jolla! this pace is well worth the visit! Tom’s photos are spectacular and will take you away to wherever /​whatever he is capturing In his work. My favorite is September Snows. It was «my» photo. Friendly, informed staff complement the adventure. We went away with some freebies (calendar and a chocolate kiss) and some thoughts about nature and where to visit next or what picture to purchase and hang in our home.

Usually when I see wildlife or nature photography, I walk right by unless it’s something that is completely original. The moment I walked in to this gallery, I knew these photos were like none I’d ever seen before. The shots of the baby elephants were breathtaking as were the polar bears and lions.
Tom has an amazing knack for capturing the most engaging moments from these animals and finding names for the photos that capture the essence of what you’re looking at.
Extra stars for the person manning the gallery at the time I went in. Unlike other galleries that just look you up and down and assess you’re simply not going to buy anything, then ignore you, this guy was engaging and friendly. You can tell that he doesn’t just «work there» but has a passion for the photographs and knows the story behind each shot. I genuinely enjoyed my visit here and consider it a stand out in La Jolla

Now this is nature photography!
Tom is a wildlife biologist. He gives back to the natural world through his non-​profit and also contributes to many organizations. He is super good friends with Jane Goodall (she named him one of her 5 heros). His work is Natural History photography, so none of that funny photoshop or color enhancement business. Mainly, you can tell by looking at his work that Tom does this as a way to perserve the natural world and share it with people, not as a way to turn a quick buck.
