I’m really disappointed in the results. I sup pore I’d feel more at ease if he did the surgery I thought I needed. Instead Dr Keefe did elective procedures the insurance company paid a tone for. I thought i made it 100% clear I did not want any elective procedures, only what I needed. I’m 8 months post op and I still can’t use my shoulder. Another concern Scripps took three months to get me my documents. the pre op plan I signed was missing from the documents? I suggest you get it in writing and if you have a smart phone get on video.

The previous two reviews are rather quite shocking. I had knee surgery at Green Hospital, by Dr. Keefe, and I had a very negative experience with him. So much so, I won’t return to him, even with his toting of being the physician for professional sports teams. Possibly, my insurance wasn’t paying the cash that the sports players do, I have no idea. Between his derogatory comments, mis-prescribed physical therapy following surgery, to waking up from surgery in such severe pain, I couldn’t stop sobbing — I’m not sure which provided for the more lasting scars. The kicker(no pun intended), is when he came into the waiting area(which I was alone in), where I woke up from surgery, sitting in a chair. His only comment to me was, quit your crying and go home. His idea of pain management was Oxicotyn, which did nothing except make me feel droggy, which he was well aware of before the surgery. I will leave my review by saying this — I sure hope there is truly ‘karma’ in this world for this guy and his ego.

I have to agree with Sunny B, well, all except the part about the dreamy red hair and blue eyes. I had a snowboarding injury to both knees last year, and have had one surgery, awaiting the one for the other knee. Dr. Keefe is extraordinarily professional, and keeps you well informed every step of the way. He even spent the time reviewing the photos from the surgery to explain everything he experienced, explaining what was being done and why. I can’t recommend Dr. Keefe highly enough. If you are dealing with pain, have it looked at. And if you do need corrective action, see Dr. Keefe.

Wow, how I love my surgeon, Dr. Keefe. If you are unfortunate enough to need shoulder or knee surgery, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Keefe. He did my ACL reconstruction and I am so happy with the way I was treated, the caliber of his staff, the hardly there scars, his follow-up protocol… He is a true professional, very skilled and personable(he won’t tell you this, but he is on staff with the Padres). I can’t say enough complementary things about him! For me, the three weeks post-op where a living hell(I literally wanted to die at times) but he and his staff helped me through it all. ps — his red hair and blue eyes are adorable!
