Easily one of the most impressive antique stores I have ever been in! Well worth the visit!

This place is a hidden gem. I accidentally stumbled upon it and found some great pieces. The staff is friendly and the manager’s knowledge about antiques is tremendous. She was able to give me a history of the table I was looking at including a print out of the appraised value by an independent appraiser. Best part, proceeds go to animal charities. I love the Ark!

This antique store has a really good selection, especially of high– end pieces and a lot of fine china. There is not too much of vintage antique 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s items– a lot more French antique items, chairs, lamps, armoires, etc. great place to consign a piece as well. And this store supports animal charities too :)

Excellent selection of quality vintage and antique furniture, furnishings and art. Agree it is the best in SD, and love the community benefits of supporting animal related charities.(BTW — similar shop — with fewer furniture pieces — and philanthropic mission is Country Friends in RSF — quite a drive though.) And, I’ve never noticed any unpleasant odors — quite the contrary, their inventory items have clearly been well maintained.

This place is awesome! I love their collection of fine china, jewelry & furniture. I have to agree with George, another reviewer that this is the best antique shop in San Diego. I bought an amazing pendant with in gold with diamonds and an aquamarine. I had it appraised and the appraisal came in way higher than what I paid! I saw a sign while I was there that they also do bridal registries! I found their prices reasonable and I felt good buying since a portion went to help animals. I’ll be back!

What do you get when you take Za Za Gabor’s garage sale left overs and the sweet smell of mildew? Yes, folks… Ark Antiques. The day I stopped by there was just a bunch of over priced fancy type crap. If that’s right up your alley… you’ve just hit the mother load. Just be prepared to breathe in some nice murky moldy damp old air.

PFunk Came from the The Mothership, Noah came from the Ark, and La Jolla comes from Money… Here at Ark Antiques you will find the Nonprofit Mothership, the Godfather, the James Brown of All Estate Sales Stores… And Papa Don’t Take Noooooo Mess! ALL that cash money from sales goes right to deserving animal charities! Schwing! Ark Antiques… Or just«The Ark» has an INSANE selection of donated and consigned antiques, furnishings, accessories and general destash from the finest homes in La Jolla. I could spend my entire life here, I’m JEALOUS of the wonderful people who work here and volunteer because everything inside is amazing, unique, has a history, provenance and screams coolness. There is a darling collection of furniture, jewelry, silver, paintings and prints, lighting, mirrors, linens, clocks, rugs, Oriental Arts, Foreign antiquities Crystal and China. Some items are astronomically priced for my meager budget but EVERYTHING is priced at Fair Market Value… Believe me, I’ve fallen in love with items, research them and KNOW that the ARK has fully appraised their items appropriately and fairly… Not to mention the fact that you feel like you’re in a museum With that being said they do also mark some items down after certain time period and deep discounts can be found. I bought many items here from earrings to lithographs. Every time I visit I feel like I’m visiting old friends and making new ones, spirits are alive and well here. If you fall in love(which will happen) they allow you a 48 hour hold to either dig up the money or just sleep on it. If you don’t show back up then it’s back on the market– no harm, no foul… They let you of course investigate and appraised something you’re interested in and have great staff to help you any time. BEST&FAVORITEPART = Store is Pet Friendly even with $ 8,000+ rugs! They are very selective of the items they take so everything is PRIME, eclectic and WOW. They have a very high merchandise turnover so something you see once and love you may never see again(here’s where that HOLD slip is key!) Lastly they are just very creative and the store design during the holidays should not be missed. The wealthy consignor and donors gets a fabu tax benefits. And as mentioned before ALL the proceeds benefit selected animal charities like:(Just to name a few…) Escondido Humane Society FOCAS Canine Companions for Independence PAWS SNAP(Spay/Neuter) Operation Greyhound Helen Woodward North County Humane Society I love going there just to look at the menagerie and wonderment… Next time you’re in the village, don’t miss it!

Ark Antiques is always a delight. Great antiques, art, and very good quality previously owned home furnishings. One of the best parts about this store is that it is operated by volunteers to support San Diego area animal charities! Save a puppy, buy a painting. Help out a kitty, buy a piece of antique jewlery.

A great little antique store in La Jolla. You just know that when those La Jolla moms get bored and are refurbishing their living rooms for the umpteenth time that they are consigning some great stuff to this shop. The best part about Ark is that they benefit animal charities so the money you spend picking up discards from La Jolla socialites goes back to charity!
