Molcasalsa Mexican Food

Love their 1.99 breakfast burritos. This place has their own flavor that sets them apart from other burrito and taco places. Homemade tortillas and salsa (chile de arbol) are delicious. I’d give a 5^th star but they only take cash and most times I’ve come they never have coffee.

Prices have REALLY gone up! Food is actually ok, but not worth the price hikes. Prices matched the quality before. If this keeps up, this place will be closed soon! For these prices, might as well go to Casita Olvera down the street or an actual sit-​down Mexican restaurant. Not trying to bad mouth Molcasalsa. Go on and see for yourself. And go to the restroom before you get in the drive-​thru. You’ll be there a looong time! Snails move faster…

Be careful what you eat here. Asada had maggots in tacos. There meat is probably low grade here. Reviews are not good here. They’ll sell you anything

Disgusting place, i will never return, my son found a pubic hair in his food, I don’t understand how this place is still open after its gross negligence, definitely calling health inspiration on them

My friend recently ate at the location on Harbor and Imperial in La Habra. This was her experience:

Never eat at Molcasalsa on Harbor & Imperial… I thought I could buy the kids a carne Asada taco each instead of a quick burger probably healthier meat and guacamole and found 2 then when I took it back to bitch them out found another one… cooked maggots… The kids ate first … I’m beyond disgusted and yaking… then as I sat there waiting for manager told them to stop selling the meat with the worms for now it was disgusting they ignored me and kept selling it all looking at each other smirking!!! Then they tried to tell me it was probably from the meat! OMG YUK!!!

This used to be a reasonable place. It has gone way down hill. Prices went up, portions dropped. Their taquitos (rolled tacos) used to be excellent, now not so much. They used to have tasty breakfast burritos. Now, the price is up, and the quality is down. Too bad. We used to be loyal customers.

Been living in la Habra for ten years and this molc sucks now man. I waited literally 20 minutes for four simple breakfast burritos which are 1.99 now and not a dollar anymore. I get my burrito and it’s so gross. It’s allllll tortilla with nasty shredded UNMELTED cheese on some raw potatoe and like half an egg… I’m livid. And I ask for coffee since there’s a sign that says coffee 1.50 and the girl at the window says we don’t have coffee and the sign is there to look pretty… Uhm okay? I came for burritos not pretty useless signs. This molc has gotten greedy making the cheapest nastiest food taking their local patrons totally for granted. Well f*** that If y’all in la Habra and you lookin for a burrito that’s actually good and make with humanity Lettys on la Habra Blvd across from northgate is where it’s at.

Moca is NOT the heart of Whittier anymore. Why would people want to give this place business? No wonder why the drive thru is dead when I drive by. There use to ALWAYS be 3 – 4 cars in the drive thru but now it’s empty. They must of lost all their customers. I spent $ 18.76 on two meals that my boyfriend & I ended up barfing. The meat was not fresh, was way too hard to chew and had no flavor whatsoever. It tasted like cheap quality meat or if I was eating left overs from a week ago. These cooks need to get it together and throw OLD FOOD away instead of giving it to customers and losing customer loyalty cause I know next time if I’m craving Mexican food, I’ll rather go to Mr. Giants or El Tactor. Molca doesnt deserve a dollar from me & I wish I was able to get a refund back for those two disgusting meals.

Okay, it’s either late night I just left the club food or oh my head hurts and I need to eat something hangover food.
That being said, my only go to’s are any of the breakfast burritos or the chicken or carne asada fries and a large piña. Oh and the shrimp nachos are good as long as you order extra shrimp. I wasn’t impressed with the taquitos or tacos, so I stick with the above.
For a late night craving or hangover hunger, this is the place.

This place is horrible. Why/​how are they still in business? Ordered cheese enchiladas. They wrapped cold hard yellow processed shredded «cheese» in a cold tortilla!!! An enchilada should not crumble off of a fork. The same «cheese» was swimming in the grease on top of the beans. This place is disgusting. Keep away.

Brehhh, you can’t tell me this shit ain’t poppin’ late night. I’m talking 11– 3:27am. Either you ballin’ out on a kids burrito and some fries or you flexing with a quesadilla or 5 mini tacos. Anywho, jus’ know… Molca is the heart of whittier. Enjoy yo self.

At first sight this would appear to be a place you would want to just drive by. However, the food here makes up for the restaurants appearance. Molcasalsa is one of those classic hole in the wall Mexican food joints that cooks up food rich in that made from home taste. You will never leave disappointed as the food is rich in flavor and the people behind the counter are exceptionally helpful. This place is legendary in the north Orange County area and is definitely worth giving a shot.

This is the near perfect drunk food. Are you drunk? Are you hungry? Is it 2am? Then this is the place for you! Otherwise, it’s far too expensive for a fast food joint and it takes FORVER to get your food. Taco Bell is a better choice during the day. Or at all times if you’re craving fast Mexican food.

This place has seriously taken a nose dive into crappy Mexican food. Use to be decent, not anymore. Had a bean and cheese burrito the other day, how can you F that up? They did… Been having stomach issues for 2 days now. I will NEVER eat here again. Management change? Retarded workers? I really don’t care. Goodbye Molc, RIP

Gross all I can say!!!

First time here, i ordered a carne asada torta, carne asada fries and 2 horchatas. Damn bill was $ 19.71!!! So its pricey! I was expecting it to be BOMB!!! Fries were good but the torta sucked! Almost $ 6.00 for this torta! All it had was the bread, carne asada and guacamole? Seriously? Dont tortas have beans, lettuce tomato? Very disappointed too pricey for what we ordered.

This was not my first time here and overall, I’ve experienced better elsewhere. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and there was one sausage with WAY to much egg. The first bite was delicious and was a great way to start the burrito. After the first bite there was nothing but egg for over half the burrito. The wait time for a burrito, when there was no line in the drive thru OR at the front counter, was over 20 minutes.
I will be going else where for breakfast burritos.

After waiting a long long time in the drive thur I was finishing my breakfast burrito when found a dead fly in it.

I rarely come here and today I’m reminded why, I ordered a good amount of food and was disappointed with ALL of it. My burrito was cold and after a 20 min wait I would’ve expected fresh hot food, nope. Order taquitos that had NO MEAT are u kidding me? 6 bucks for a rolled fried tortilla isn’t it supposed to be a rolled taco? Hence taco meat of some sort. I will definitely not continue to support this business. This place deserves NO STARS but Unilocal won’t let u post a review without at least one. Do not support this business they over charge and do not care about customer satisfaction.

I don’t know why everyone is giving 1 star for this place.
This is still one of my favorite Mexican place to eat.
Shrimp burrito is a must try!
