The meat was okay, but the service was horrendous. Our waitress, Heather, never checked up on us and we had to flag her down several times. Every time we got her attention she either gave us attitude or told us to wait as she serviced the next table. Sides are refillable, but the empty plates were only taken away until we asked for more. Either way, I will not be back.

A really good place for eating non marinated beef ribs. Always a first choice of Korean BBQ places to eat. Excellent fresh quality meat that isn’t frozen and I love the variety of side dishes that they have.

I really don’t know why we keep coming back to this shitty place. Customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE, they have a button you can press which doesn’t really do anything because you don’t get service even if you press the button 4 times! We waited about 35 minutes for our raw meat, everyone around us kept getting their food but we waited and waited and finally our waitress came and asked if we wanted MORE meat. Obviously we hadn’t even ate anything yet because the grill was still shiny and unused dumb a**!!! Not to mention our steamed rice came out first and 40 minutes later it’s cold as ice but we can’t eat it without our meat. We had to ask for water, napkins, hot sauce etc. Everything took forever. SERVICEDESERVESNOSTARS, hands down the worst restaurant in La Habra!

i give one star for the food being edible… –japchae is too salty. –galbi is too greasy please dont get me started with the service… they waitresses are too busy serving the people who are drinking. I came here with my dad thinking it would be okay since it was pretty new but wow the manager is running out getting shots of soju here and there. what kind of manager does that?! I do not recommend this place at all.

Delicious! Meats are marinated well, sides are plentiful, and service was great. Had the bulgogi box as I was alone, but the flavors did not disappoint. Washed it down with a Hite beer and some extra delicious Makgeolli(rice wine). The waitress was very helpful and helped me decide my food. The manager/owner was nice enough to come over and chat with me with me a bit. Waitress refilled my sides as I chomped down. Made a Mexican feel right at home with all the Korean staff.

Loved it, good service and good quality food. Small restaurant in comparison to Kbbq chains. Will be back

I used to come here when it was the lighthouse, and it was good. I went here last night and if I could give negative Stars I would. They never came to check on us and when we pressed the button they never came. If you weren’t Asian or Korean they wouldn’t help you. Awful customer service. The meat is BASIC. and over priced. The all you can eat list is a Fucking Joke. I’ll never be back.

I was not impressed. You pay for what you get. The food is ok. Not a lot to select from. Service can be improved. Asked for more tea and never saw it. Waitress never came back. Had to wave her down and still didn’t get what we asked for. I’d stick to GENBBQ.

Honestly had the worst customer service ever here. A waiter brought some meat to our table, and since we got the all you can eat we thought it was for us. As soon as I put some of the meat in the grill, some lady almost took it off the grill. What is that?! NOTRECOMMENDED!!!

The short rib and cabbage soup was very tasty and their sides are as good as it gets.

Usually restaurants add lemon or maybe even cucumber to the water for taste. Guess what I got? A piece of mold stuck at the bottom of my water cup. It really added that extra«fresh» water taste.

Came here 2xs in 1 week because it was so good! Came here with my mom for lunch and the quality of the meat was exceptional as well as the many sides and options. My mom has been in the restaurant industry for 15 years and she even admitted the quality was great. Came again a few days later for Xmas dinner and again wasn’t disappointed. The place was packed and it seemed like they were understaffed but service was still on point. My new Korean BBQ joint

Really wasn’t planning on coming here, but the line at Ye-Dang was too long and my stomach was screaming for food. My mom suggested eating here at MK. Everything seemed fine. no line, clean restaurant. Unfortunately I think the only good meats we had was cha-dol(brisket) and shrimp. Everything else was over marinated or chewy. the gop-chang(small intestine) was really bitter. It should be sweet like an apple sausage. The service was also lacking since I had to flag them down any time I wanted anything. Given how many KBBQ joints are around this area, they should step up their game.

Oh how times have changed. Over the years, Lighthouse was my favorite Korean BBQ joint. I much prefer quality over quantity, and AYCE is so rarely quality. I was close by and decided to head here on evening, thinking I was headed to Lighthouse… And there is a new name and new owners. The place looks the same, and there is an AYCE option along with the standard menu, but the choices are more limited, and not as interesting. There was nothing bad, just nothing all that great either. The plethora of side dishes were also generally one note variations on kim chi, just using different bases to house the spices. Oh well, off to find a new favorite.

mk what do you stand for? MedioKre? first of all, things look fine overall. it’s a new joint. there are plenty of seats, ac works fine. maybe too cold for some, but here’s the skinny. in language, I asked for not spicy. you assured me that is the way I’d get my order. I get my order and I can see 5 alarm chilies with seeds all over the place. ok. fine. maybe they’re not as hot as it looks or smells. nope. FIRE. I mean just blazing spicy. the lunch rush picks up and I can flag down anyone let alone anyone who could care. ok fine. I’m in a hurry so chalk it up to whatever. then in English my lunch companion wants to state for the record what happened. he’s got a point. give them a chance to fix the problem. errrrrrrrrr, I’m in a hurry, can I just get this with some soup base to tone down the afterburner effect? thanks. 12 minutes later, they’ve added soup but also flame torched the bowl again to 900 degrees. well, ok. my bad maybe. if I’d said in language again, please just remember I’m in a hurry or something to that effect.. this joint is not in the usual hustle and bustle of dealing with business lunches. it’s the burbs. so, a tad salty and be careful how spicy you like it. but honestly, all the side dishes that call for chilies used the same flame level chilies. be careful here

Service sucks! Ordered Bulgogi & neng myun combo. She brought out the wrong food. Then she gets pissed at me because we won’t take the wrong order. Sighs & walks away annoyed. So rude! I also asked the owner for some water bc no one was coming by & she didn’t even look at me. She just got up, got the water & walked away annoyed. Geez… Where’s the zero stars If service matters to u, don’t come here.

An OK kbbq place… We had their AYCE kbbq for dinner for $ 23.99/person Pros: — excellent chadol(I loved the fact that their chadol was fresh and had more meat than fat. but some people may like more fat) — huge quantity(you don’t need to ask 5x to get your chadol fix… 1−2x is enough as with other meat dishes) — great service(fast changing of grill & refill on side dishes) — a lot of side dishes — they have daechang, makchang, gopchang(if you like this that is… lol:) Cons: — expensive($ 23.99 for AYCE kbbq dinner? Wooga has $ 13.99& $ 19.99 options) — no impressive sides or sauces(I think what makes kbbq places different/special are their unique sides and sauces… MK lacks this…) — Except for their chadol their other meat dishes were whatever in taste/quality… jumuluk, daechang, neukgasal, gopchang were all whatever — no marinated kalbi for $ 23.99… umm for that expensive of a price they should have galbi on there even if there’s a quantity max Overall an ok place. I was kinda excited because people told me this place is really good… sorry but it’s just ok. Byul Daepo in GG is way better!!!

They had this ‘get 20% off when spend $ 50 or more’ promotion going on but I didn’t get 20% off my bill when I had $ 77, combo D and got over $ 90 check. Food was average. This is supposed to be all new management and everything but nothing seemed to be changed.

The banchan was really good. Place was new and clean. Jjigae was the best among all KBQ places I’ve been. The only reason I’m giving a 4 instead of 5 is that their most basic«A» option didn’t even have bulgogi on it. Most servers were friendly, except the older lady with a long face. =P
