El Pollo Loco

Seems their cooks cannot comprehend simple instructions or are too lazy to make something right when they mess up. I asked for a salad and without the pico, I even double confirmed with the drive thru girl and she confirmed it verbally. I get home and boom… pico on my salad. Seems a simple request, but one they could not honor tonight.

I wouldn’t normally post, but this has happened a few time in the past.
I ordered a sixteen piece meal with eight beasts.
They said they could only give me four even if I paid extra for the beasts. Their legs and wings have been getting smaller and smaller over time and hardly worth ordering.
Hey, it was a fifty dollar order and just let me walk out without blinking.

This place is a mess. I live around the corner and always give then the benefit of the doubt, and keep returning. But I am finally writing a review about how it is always dirty. The floors are always a mess, the salsa bar is a nightmare, the trash cans always full or near full. The restrooms are never clean. I don’t know how the employees can just stand around while the restaurant is so disgustingly dirty. If I managed this place, I would hire someone to just clean, keep the place looking great. I frequent pollo locos at least twice a week, It’s apparent which ones care, and this location clearly does not. Unfortunately, places treat customers how they allow themselves to be treated, let’s speak up to management people, say something when the place is a disaster.

Wow I can honestly say this was the worse burrito I have ever bought at el pollo loco period. It was so salty I could not even eat my food. I called the manager to let her know that both me and my family’s food was beyond salty she quickly gave me a half ass apology and rushed me off the phone. My advise go to another place to eat. Ewww

After walking into this place the second time, I can honestly say it hasn’t changed a bit.
What I find most impressive about this particular location is the unique way they manage with 7 out 8 people working, to not clean anything, to stand around and talk, to avoid helping the first person in line (myself) and help the 5 (yes 5) people that waited in behind me, and then ask me if had already ordered. And then, screw up my order, give me burned chicken. This is the worst, WORST el pollo loco I have ever been to, and I will never go back. Ever. Ever. Forever. Ever. This particular location, SUCKS. don’t care what anyone else thinks about this location. Never ever ever going back to this one ever.
I must say the el pollo loco located at 1171 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90 631 is one to avoid.

Was a much better experience, it was clean, staff was nice, at least the 4 that said hi and 1 that took my order, and they genuinely seem to want customers to return. Did I mention it was CLEAN, and the staff was FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE. Well go here instead of the one located at 1171 W Whittier Blvd, La Habra, CA 90 631 from now until eternity.

Staff was pleasant and food was ready much quicker than the location I normally visit. I loved their large parking lot, much easier to get in and out of compared to the EPL I usually go to. All of the food was tasty and my pollo bowl had a good amount of chicken. Will definitely be back if I find myself in the area.

Been going here for years and love the «wing lovers» which is four wings and two sides.
Some time ago I learned to call ahead and keep it early. They’d always hesitate but say «okay»
I’d give them a target time that I’d be there and they said — again, okay.
Almost every time the wings would be overcooked! I’d ask them when I ordered to: «please don’t overcook them», but they’d do it anyway.
The last three times recently I went there I asked for them to be juicy but still they we’re burnt to a crisp!
The very last time I ordered «wing lover’s» and said «nice and juicy», (AGAIN!) the wings were incinerated! This after I gave them an arrival time and everything!
If they don’t like my business, then why the hell don’t they just say «NO!»
It’s as though they burn them on purpose and have a laugh on ME!

As an employee of a neighboring business, I and my coworkers frequent this location a minimum of twice a week. Today (5÷21÷15) was the worst experience we’ve encountered. It wasn’t because ONE BRC burrito was missing from our order, but rather it was the response we received from the manager who defensively responded and basically accused us of lying. No person in their right mind would drive all the way back, especially at today’s gas prices, to rob this million dollar corporate restaurant of ONE burrito which is part of their value menu. But apparently the «manager» felt that this item with a food-​cost of a few cents held more value than the return business he will no longer be receiving. This may have been tolerable if it was a new hire cashier but not from someone that we see each visit and carries a leadership role. Looks like the chicken is not the only crazy one at this location.

Pretty good El Pollo location. I had the California Chicken Burrito with avocado, really good. They have a drive-​thru and its very efficient, with a friendly staff and quick service.

Absolutely the worst el pollo loco ever. We came in for dinner and waited extra for fresh chicken to be made. Whe our food came out ALL of the sides where cold. My mom put butter on her broccoli and it didnt even melt. When we tried to get hot food they said they were going to charge us extra. How is that okay to charge extra for HOT food? Isnt food supposed to be served hot? Didnt know we had to pay twice for our food to be hot.

If you like stomach cramps and have to rush to the restroom every few minutes, then this is the location for you. Both me and my girl were succumbed by this fine establishment’s high quality cuisine {{ sarcasm }} and vow to never patronize them again. Seriously Wtf El Pollo Crappo?

I usually go to El Pollo Loco to get their family meals. This location did a full remodel and looks really good. Very eye catching from the street. Since I only purchase the family meals I can only speak for that item. I usually grab the 16 piece meal. This location actually gives you full pieces for their count. I’ve been to other locations that cut a thigh in half and calls it 2 pieces. Their salsas here are always filled and seems «fresh». The service here is always great. Even when the drive through line is long the wait for me to get the family meal inside is always a lot shorter than I expect. I will always drive a little out of my way to go to this location for my El Pollo Loco needs.

Waited a few minutes for the large lady in front of me to finish her order in Spanish. Was directly behind her. She finished ordering but continued to stand in front of me while she put her change away. Meanwhile, two women who just entered the restaurant cut in front from the side and start ordering in Spanish. Cashier who totally saw me the entire time doesn’t say shit; just takes their order like it’s no problem. Come on, now: gabachos need their BRCs too. But actually instead of making a stink I just peaced out and went to Molca Salsa.

Food is good but service not do much. Martin O. Is bad news, a bit of a racist I suspect. Not a very good rep for this place…

Come here from time to time with my dad for lunch and I always get the avocado burrito which is good =) Ivan the owner is always nice and treats us well I love coming here cause I feel comfortable and the place is super clean you can see the people make your food (which I really like) and they are all very friendly I don’t know what’s up with everyone saying the wait time here is ridiculous. Everytime I’ve came it’s been fast speedy service ;) thank you Ivan and all your crew members will see you soon

After having gone without El Pollo Loco for quite awhile our family decided to try it out again. We came to regret that decision quickly. The staff was friendly so that was the one pleasant part of the visit. We ordered our meal, an Ultimate Chicken Tostada Salad at a whopping $ 7.49. Then a 2 piece combo — a breast and a wing. That was another 6.99. Our meal was prepared quickly. We drove home and opened up our meals. And that is where the nightmare began. The «Ultimate Chicken Tostada Salad» was encased in a STALE shell. That shell appeared to have been saved from 2001. It was hard as steel. The chicken in the salad was BURNT and RUBBERY. The lettuce was wilted and virtually tasteless. The avocados were not ripe and the other ingredients were in equal disarray. It tasted like a nightmare. It was inedible. Now let’s move on to the 2 piece Chicken combo. A breast and a wing. The breast had the skin missing and it appeared that it was torn off by some pair of hands or a knife. The chicken was so tough that it took a steak knife to cut through it. Then we get to the wing. The wing was BLACK AS NIGHT. And it needed a magnifying glass to find it. The little meat on it was so tough even the steak knife had a rough time. The tortillas (flour) that came with it were so hard I could have used them as frisbees and possibly broken a window with them. The beans were dry and basically tasteless. No moisture in them at all. The only edible part was the teaspoonful size of mashed potatoes that were covered in gravy. At 16.71 grand total I was disgusted. Nearly 20 bucks for a meal that even a homeless shelter would have turned away. If this meal had been served to prisoners the convicts would have sued the prison for cruel and unusual punishment. This was by far the WORST food ever eaten… or the WORST food attempted to be eaten. Next time it’s back to Juan Pollo where the chicken is fresh, tasty and succulent. The tortillas are fresh and warm and soft. I am disgusted that this place even is open if this is the kind of food they are gonna serve. It’s gotta be a hazard somewhere. It will take a miracle and two acts of congress to get me back to El Pollo Loco.

I love pollo loco but have you checked the sodium content? It is extremely high! I don’t know why it has to be this high but I ate the chicken avocado burrito thinking it would be healthy enough only to learn afterward that the sodium content was 2100 grams… that it is pretty high.

I’m so mad, I was waiting to place an order in the drive thru for half an hour this was about 9:40 p.m. I kept asking them to take my order multiple times. Finally some guy responded and said to please be patient, so I was patient waited for 20 minutes just to be told that they had just closed. Keep in mind that El Pollo Loco web site shows that they close at 10:30 and on Unilocal it shows closing time at 10:30 as well. Who ever is managing El Pollo in La Habra has very poor managing skills. I will never go to this Pollo Loco again.

Sometimes you just don’t feel like cooking on a daily basis and you want to eat something fast. I know it isn’t good for you but hey sometimes it’s ok to go on the wild side.
I have never been to this location even though I have lived in this area for three years already. It is super close but never really wanted to go and eat some chicken. I recently wanted to come here because I will be going back on a trip very soon for my cousins wedding and well they don’t have this in Asia.
Sooo I ordered an 8 mixed chicken with two large sides and it is pretty pricey I believe at $ 17.99!!! Crazy how expensive it is but hey the chicken does taste good.
I am not really a fan of the sides though. Got rice and the new corn pieces but really not into it at all and just wished I got chicken only instead.
The quality of the service was really nice and man they were fast!

Last week ordered the grilled chicken salad, got it home only to find it had hardly any of the ingredients it was suppose to have and there were only a few chicken chunks, but mostly chicken crumbs, I was very dissatisfied, but hungry and too lazy to go back until they forgot to pack the dressing. That was the last straw so i returned it and showed the manager the shell of the salad I got and no dressing. She had an attitude with me like I had no right to be upset. Asked me if i wanted a new one and i said sure as long as it didn’t look like the last one. She didn’t like what i said, went over to the cash register and gave back the money. I asked when the owner is here, she wouldn’t tell me. I called and wrote to the headquarters, someone was suppose to get back to me, it’s been 2 weeks and have heard nothing. I don’t know what’s worst the salad or the customer service
