I don’t recommend this company. They would charge $ 99 to come out, regardless if they fixed your problem. When they came out, they were trying to sell a replacement of new with $ 2500, later discounted to $ 2000, rather trying to really fix the problem. Anyway, I felt to be ripped.

After I got ripped for $ 99, I decided to call the manufacturer. Surprisingly 800# of American Water Heater was very helpful. After order the parts for $ 45 UPS to home and installed the parts following the instructions. The unit is working like a charm…
Affordable Water Heaters and Plumbing has been sending their promotional stickers for Water Heater Emergency Contacts to residents in the greater LA area. Be careful not to fall into their money scam trap like I did.

They charge way too much! SCAMMERS!

I had no hot water. Called this morning and was quoted $ 99 for service call, part was under warranty and I would have to pay labor on top of the service call fee. Appt window was 12−2…no call. I called just before 3pm. Gave some excuse and said it would be about an hour. I called back just before 6pm. He was just around the corner. Turned out to be a burnt out thermal coupler… About a $ 15 part. Said the labor would be $ 238 plus the service call of $ 99. Outrageous. Waived the fee. Still outrageous. Technician was a nice guy and very professional. One star for him. Forgot to mention it only took about 30 minutes from the time he arrived until the time he left. About $ 500 an hour in labor. Did I already say outrageous.

Today I called affordable water heaters and plumbing because I’m having issues with my water heater I was told that a technician would be at my house between 2 and 4 PM they stated the price and I agreed I gave them my phone number my address it is now 6:08 PM I have not received a phone call nor has a technician showed up this is absolutely terrible service and I will never call them again we will find somebody else and I hope that you will read this and give them what they deserve A phone call to a Nother plumbing and water heater service this is totally unacceptable

UPDATE: I would like to update my previous review and report that the owner did refund the $ 299 for the part that should have been covered under the original warranty. I regret that I cannot give the company a higher review. They should not have over charged me for the repair and I should not have had to threaten them for them to ultimately refund my money.
