Silvermoon Salon

I’ve been to Silvermoon Salon for a haircut for myself and for a haircut for my autistic toddler. Both of these experiences were with Sam and were exceptional. I was truly amazed by the level of compassion, flexibility, and patience she had with my son. We’ve previously been taking him to another kid specific place nearby where we had nothing but terrible experiences. I talked to Sam about my son during my haircut and I decided to try it and made an appointment for him. She made him feel comfortable and found alternatives when he became upset by the clippers and blow dryer. It was his first year free, scream free, fight free haircut and we will continue to visit Silvermoon Salon. It was well worth the extra $ 10. I would highly recommend Sam and Silvermoon Salon.

I can’t say enough great things about my stylist Amber or the ownership team at Silvermoon. Not only do they make you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door, but the quality of their services and products are top notch. They really care about their clients and it shows! I’ve had cut, touch up color and most recently balayage color done with Amber and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Highly recommend Silvermoon to anyone new to the area or just looking for a refreshing change :)

This salon is amazing! I came in yesterday after a horrible experience with a hair stylist I’ve been going to for several years. I expressed my concern to the receptionist and she was willing to make an appointment for me for the next day. Instead, I was able to be seen by Sam that very day. I really appreciated how she was able to fit me in and did a wonderful job. This was my first experience at this salon and I absolutely loved it! I will definitely be coming back.

For the last 10 years I’ve hated trying new salons because none have ever been worth going back to due to bad customer service or work. I haven’t done anything to my hair in two years and it was damaged and unkept. I seen the great reviews on Unilocal,called and set up an appointment for a haircut with Trish. As soon as I walked I was welcomed by the receptionist and offered a drink while I wait (I arrived early). Trish then greeted me and she was great! Very thorough and listened to what I didn’t want and gave great options on what we could do. She gave me a blunt cut past the shoulders and it came out beautiful. I can honestly say it was the best first experience I’ve had at a salon. I plan on going back for a cut and color. Highly recommend!

During the Christmas holidays, I visited this Salon. I used Unilocal as a guide and saw so many great reviews, I just had to give it a go. I chose Trish as my stylist and she didn’t disapoint me! I left feeling great about my new hair style!

I love this place! Everyone is so wonderful. They will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy with the services they provide. If you aren’t happy they will go above and beyond to make you happy.

An outstanding salon. I got my hair cut by Rebekah. I have curly hair, and it’s difficult to make it look good. She washed my hair, let it dry, and then cut it dry. This is the proper way to cut curly hair and she is the only person who I have ever had to do it this way. There is only one other person I know of in the city who will do it this way, but this place is closer to my house so I will be coming here from now on.

Kelly was very friendly and accomodating and she made me feel welcomed. Joy did an awesome job overall with my haircut experience. She made sure that I really get the cut that I want. We talked about length, what’s best for my face shape, etc. I’m really happy how it turned out. Best haircut I’ve had for the longest time and I’m definitely coming back. A little bit pricey but for the service it’s worth it.

I had my first appt last evening. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Never have been treated so wonderfully in a salon. I walked in with my hair a mess and walked out with a beautiful color and cut. It’s very relaxing and friendly. I’m so happy I tried this salon. I’ll be a regular from now on. Thanks ladies! Especially Amber!

I made the terrifying switch from my hair stylist back in MN to a local establishment. Silvermoon Salon, and more specifically my stylist Amber, have both been a welcome change. Amber has cut and highlighted my hair, giving me the long layers and subtle, natural color I really wanted. I’m getting married and she offered to color my hair based on my trial style the next time I’m in to show off my highlights perfectly. A cut and highlights was $ 100, with a touch up being $ 40. Reasonably priced for a nice area, and will give you a discount for anyone that you refer. I will remain a loyal customer for sure!

This salon is really a gem. The hours are accommodating and the location is super convenient. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Sam is great with my ridiculously thick head of hair. I’ve been going to her for a few years and have no intention of changing that!

Cannot lie but, I am definitely disappointed. I went in for a color & cut. I asked for an all over permanent even brown color with a little bit of a red tint. It hasn’t even been a week my color uneven, faded & has a ashy/​green. The stylist was very nice and I got a great cut, buuuuut I’m extremely unhappy with my color! Can’t say I’d recommend or come back to this salon is the future.

I came in for the blowout. My appointment ran and hour later than expected. I felt so bad cause of my long hair I was delaying the stylist upon her next appointment. But Susan was so cool about it and I was very happy. The results were great. Super pleasant people to deal with, all of them. Will be back.

I will keep this review short and sweet– Amber did an amazing job on my balayage highlights and I will definitely be coming back. Great salon, gorgeous on the inside/​good location and the staff is very knowledgable and personable!

So I went to Sam recently, and I have to say I’m impressed. Not only was she the sarcastic blunt humorist I would hope to have to sit in a chair and talk to for an hour of my life, but she also tamed my less than cooperative hair and succeeded in giving me one of the better haircuts of my life.
I asked for the best hair stylist for men, I later found out I was talking to Sam’s mom, which does make me question whether or not her mom is just trying to set Sam up with every male client for ulterior motives.
Will be going back without a doubt.

Saw Susanne and was beyond pleased. They fit me into their busy schedule but still found the time and patience to be more than efficient and I was very pleased with the service. Will be a return costumer for sure.

Everything about Silvermoon Salon is amazing! Kelly is so kind, helpful and welcoming and Sam is an amazing stylist. Sam listens to what you want and actually follows through with it! I’m so happy I found such a gem of a salon!

I just moved to La Grange and I’m always nervous about finding a new hair salon. I went to Amber and she did a fantastic job with my highlights and cut!!! The customer service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I will return!!!

This is my first time in this salon and I couldn’t be more impressed. It’s in a quaint little neighborhood in a cool old building. The décor is beautiful, the staff are all warm, friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for.
On to my stylist, Samantha… love her! She spent quite a bit of time going over options for color, styling, etc. She’s young, fresh and knowledgeable… exactly what I was looking for. It’s a bit on the pricey side but I feel the quality of service is well worth the money.

I love this salon! We used it for my wedding for makeup and hair! Everyone was so nice and did beautiful work!
Suzanne did my hair and she was so sweet! I felt like I was with one of my friends!
Makeup was flawless! I didn’t want to look cakey and wanted to look natural but better! It was perfect!
