I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is healthy and clean. The staff is always very friendly, so that’s a plus. The pei Wei mussels in red sauce are my go-to appetizers. I always order the southwest Chicken salad. Though the menu says it’s only available during lunch time, sometimes they are able to make it for you at any time if you ask them. Other great options: lobster avocado, fish taco, lava sushi, spicy lobster sushi to name a few

Food was boring and breakfast menu was scarce. The root beer tasted like medicine. Nice location but it seemed like they were trying too hard to be hip that they lacked on substance with their food. I had some type of salmon and then random green«leaves» on my plate. I felt like I was on a cartoon where you order something expensive and they only place a pea on a plate and hand you a knife and fork.

This place is really nice! They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options, and everything is so fresh and such good quality. I really like their black bean burger with avocado, and I love their mezze appetizer plate which includes hummus and falafel. This is something you should definitely try if you’re looking for fresh, organic, healthy food.

Absolutely love Prasino! Definitely a gem of downtown LaGrange. Both lunch and breakfast are amazing, and their Caprese sandwich is to die for. Everything is so so fresh and clean. Ingredients are natural and they strive for organic, clean healthy food. Only downside is if you come with a soda lover, Diet Coke or Pepsi isn’t an option. However, the fresh squeezed orange juice is an incredible replacement! Love this place!

We had a late brunch here today. I ordered my usual, chipotle tofu scramble and cauliflower gratin. While the meal was decent, it did not seem very fresh. Most of the potatoes were hard and lukewarm, the veggie sausage was overcooked, and the cauliflower gratin seemed like it was cooked as an afterthought. They have also decreased their tofu portion. I like Prasino, I truly do. However, if I am paying $ 15 for my meal it should be fresh.

We were in Chicago apartment hunting and we’re looking for a great place for brunch. Read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to check this place out in LaGrange and so glad we did. 3 of us started with bloody Mary’s and 1 had a Mimosa. We had their Basic Bloody which was nicely spiced and garnishing plus rhe glass was rimmed with spices. The mimosa was nice but served in champagne glass, nothing special. For brunch we had their homemade corn beef hash, short rib hash and the frittata with spinach, feta and avocado. Sides were toast or pancakes. The fried potatoes were fantastic, nicely spiced and crisp. Highly recommend Prasino! We sat outside on a beautiful Sunday. They also put us on the wait list for first available when we called in versus waiting until we arrived at the restaurant. So we were seated right when we arrived. Very nice waiter, Chris, excellent service

The best restaurant around. The service is fantastic, the food is consistently excellent, they provide organic based healthy food, and it is so clean. It has something for everyone. It is an easy place to bring clients and family. People that I have introduced Prasino to always go back again.

Finally made it to Prasino for breakfast, and was not disappointed. Came on a Sunday, and surprisingly did not have to wait. The interior is beautiful and comfortable. I try to eat organic at home, so when I saw Prasino tries to use organic ingredients whenever possible, I was super happy. I have no problem paying extra for organic, sustainable food. I went with the Irish skillet, and was pleased to see it was served with actual large chunks of corned beef. No canned corned beef crap here. The eggs were cooked over-easy to perfection and the skillet was chock full of tasty peppers, onions and potatoes as well. My only complaint was that the skillet seemed to only have a slight dash of cheese on top. It definitely needed more cheese. The service was friendly and attentive.

Saturday was the perfect day. I’ve lived in Naperville and now I think La Grange was some how hidden from us, so we wouldn’t know how good some of its locations are. Couldn’t of asked for a better breakfast and mimosa alternative. You will not be disappointed with starting your day with some bourbon when you order the Kentucky Blue. It’s refreshing, fun, and delicious. The meal will still overshadow your drinks, deservingly so, but they work well together. I had the Corned Beef skillet, which filled me up without being overly full. Next time I’m getting it with sweet potatoes, yes they offer it, or going for the French Toast which I’m being told numerous times to try.

Very leery when we were first seated because the whole restaurant had a bad fishy smell. «oh, that’s the salmon,» said the hostess. Really? Ok, we knew what NOT to order! Our food was very nicely presented and very tasty. We had the lobster avocado appetizer. One person in our group had the surf and turf and said it was great. Two of us had the braised short ribs. They were very tender and the sauce was well done. I would be tempted to try the sushi on a future visit. I just couldn’t force myself to try it after the bad fishy smell we started with.

Busy location so reservations are recommended. Nice options on the menu. Juices are fresh and interesting. Full bar available. Espresso drinks are good! Coffee is strong. Tried the Paris eggs Benedict — very good flavor. Would recommend it get again. Huge portion size! The décor is strange. It feels like a spa or yoga studio. I’m glad we got to try this place. Lots of kids and families. Decent prices for the size and quality. Service is very good. Would go again.

Haven’t had Prasino since the Wicker Park location closed; it was always one of my go-tos for brunch. We were meeting my in-laws halfway and I’m happy to report that Prasino in La Grange was it. We had reservations at 11:30 on a Saturday morning. The place wasn’t packed, but lively and busy enough. Our table was ready right away and our server very friendly and helpful. I strayed from my former regular order of the Paris benedict and instead got the tacos rancheros. I think they have tortilla options depending on your preference. I went with my usual corn ones(and, really, nobody should ever be eating flour tortillas…). They were delicious. The portion was quite large and I wasn’t able to finish it all. Luckily, my husband did get the Paris benedict for himself so I stole a bite or two. Happy to report that it was just as good as I remembered. My in-laws and SIL were all very happy with their orders too. I also had an iced chai which was great(and happy to report that they have almond milk as an option). My husband had a strawberry-pineapple-something juice and it was quite good! You could definitely make it a brunch drink with some schnapps or bubbles.

We visited Prasino for brunch. I checked OpenTable and they had a few reservations open so I figured we would not have a wait but we did. I knew I should have made a reservation but I figured we were only half an hour away so what could change? So expect a wait if you go after 10 on a weekend. The wait was about 20 – 25 minutes, as quoted. It’s fairly average looking but I found the bar to be strange. They had TVs behind the bar but no stools. Like no one could sit there but there were TVs that seemed to invite people to that space. Our server promptly came over and took our drink order and brought a mimosa and a bloody. Both were just okay. She had some food recommendations as well, which we took. However, one low spot was that our server disappeared for quite some time after we ordered food. It was evident that my drink was empty for a while and even when she reappeared, she went to a few tables before coming back to us. She was very nice but it didn’t seem that she had so many tables that she should have taken such a long time. You would think she’d be anxious to refill me hoping to add to the tip. When she did return I got a strawberry mimosa, which I preferred to the regular mimosa. The bloody was okay but it really lacked spice. I tried the chilaquiles. I’ve had chilaquiles at many spots and these just really fell short for me. They had chicken as opposed to pork or duck and the chicken had a decent flavor but it seemed a bit fatty although I will say it was tender. The chip ratio was off as in there were close to a bag of chips on there but not the other things to go along with it. More sauce and cheese would be preferred. Chilaquiles should have a layered sort with a few chips in between for texture and to absorb the fatty goodness but this was more like a plate of nachos without a ton of fixins. So a few components were okay but nothing was great. My husband got the pretzel croissant french toast. It sounded cool but we were really unsure where the pretzel was. It was basically croissant french toast and cause the croissant is so light, it got soggy. Also the sauce that accompanied was just clawingly sweet. The dish was not very balanced, which is what I can say for my dish as well. Overall some average or below average food and not great service either. I wanted to like this place more and I’ll give another try but so far underwhelmed.

Have you ever driven by a place seventy bazillion times and been like«nah» and then read reviews of a place on Unilocal and been like«hell YEAH!» and then you drive there and you’re like«OHWAIT, that’s THIS place?» Totally happened to me with Prasino. So I was so taken with the reviews of this place that my mom, hubs and I came here for brunch today. I’m so glad I did! I kind of can’t believe I’d discounted this place for so long. First of all, it’s enormous, which I love because huge space = potentially less wait(though there was no wait on a Friday at 10am). The décor is not really my taste but fits right into their ecologically-minded theme. The chairs are comfortable. There’s fun booths seemingly encased in brick, and I wish we could have sat there, but alas. Their menus are exceptional. The drink menu alone left us wanting two-three drinks. I decided on a mocha that was served at the approximate temperature of the sun, but was rich, delicious, and well-made. My husband got a macchiato which came in the neatest double-walled glass. My mom got a chai latte and loved it. Hubs later also got a «honeymoon» quencher, and loved that too. I decided to get Angela P.‘s exact order, because it sounded SOOO right in her review! The pretzel croissant French toast with a side of chicken apple sausage. The sausage was AMAZING and rivaled the chicken Apple sausage at the bongo room. The croissant French toast was delicious, but definitely better on paper than in reality. Neither pretzels nor croissants are very sweet, and it didn’t seem like it sat in the batter long enough to become that creamy dreamy French toast texture. The caramel sauce was maybe cooked a minute too long and had moved from amber golden sweetness to a teensy bit burnt tasting. The white chocolate sauce was good, but there wasn’t enough of either sauce, especially because they were served without syrup. I dunno, maybe I’m a sugar fanatic. But«pretzel croissant French toast» promises so much! I wanted more! My mom got the chicken chilequiles which was INCREDIBLE. Packed with the most tender, pull-apart chicken on the planet atop a mountain of tortilla chips and nestled in with guacamole, two eggs, and other delightfulness. My husband got the crab cake Benedict which my mother and I adored, but weirdly he got a bite that was ALL black pepper and kind of ruined the whole dish for him. He didn’t finish it, but liked the breakfast potatoes that accompanied it. All in all, I enjoyed Prasino but for the prices, I expected just a smidge more to make it a 5-star experience. I definitely will come back if I’m in La Grange or to try their dinner menu.

I came here on a Saturday night and based on the reviews I was very surprised to find this place empty. The décor was nice but it was poorly lit which made reading the menu difficult. After reviewing the menu my friend and I quickly realized that this was a vegetarian restaurant with a limited menu and limited options. The menu also did include vegan and gluten-free options. We both decided to get the Thai Yellow Curry as it seemed the most appealing and filling option as we were both very hungry. In my opinion it was good but could have been better; I was not really amazed by it and I felt it was a bit sweet for a curry. Overall, I was not too impressed with this restaurant and i am not enticed to come back again to try another entrée from their menu. However, it is a good place if you are a vegan or require a gluten-free diet. There were a lot of pictures of their breakfast and brunch dishes so they may specialize more in that area.

I’ve been here a handful of times and I’ve been pleased with my food every time. I LOVE the atmosphere here; you feel like you’re in a spa with the bamboo shoots and calming beige coloring. It’s very relaxing and fairly posh for a place in La Grange. I’ve tried plenty of the menu, including delicious pancakes, crab cakes, and eggs benedict. There’s something for everyone here whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, pescetarian, or a plain olé omnivore. I really appreciate that the menu specifies which items are vegetarian/vegan since I don’t eat red meat. The food is SO good and you can eat feeling completely okay with finishing an entire entrée because everything is pretty healthy(nothing has been bathed in oil like so many other restaurants). The atmosphere also makes me feel relaxed, and in a good mood as I enjoy my meal. My only complaints: It’s a little pricier than it should be. Again, this is a suburb, not Chicago, and menu items should be priced accordingly. If I wanted to order an app, drink, and dessert, then I would end up paying probably $ 80 for two people. We were conscious of this when choosing items to order. Additionally, the service was a little off. All three of the times I’ve been here, I have made a reservation first and the hostess did not seat us right away. Why even bother making the reservation? I’ve also barely received any kind of apology for it. I make reservations because my time is valuable, and I fully expect restaurants to honor those reservations. If super busy, popular places in the city can properly honor reservations, then I really expect a place like Prasino would be able to do so(and, if not, offer a complementary drink). In any case, I do enjoy and recommend Prasino. I will definitely return in the future because it’s one of the nicest place to get brunch in the nearby Western suburbs.
