My parents bought here while the new residences were being built. I frankly loved their home, but also their home was a heck of a lot of work. Never the less moving to an old folks home seemed like a real downer and not conducive to a comfortable old age. One pictures lines of walkers and rows of O2 tanks. At least my parents were forward thinking and making choices while in good health was my consolation. I was gobsmacked to find my vision of their dystopian future to be embarrassingly wrong headed. Plymouth Place is more like Fantasy Island with everyone living independently, but living well. Each residence reflecting the taste of the senior citizen. Lots of events and activities but none forced down your throat. Eat in the elegant dining room, the bistro, go out to dine, have a meal delivered to your door or just cook at home. The common areas reflect the tastes of a Four Seasons or Ritz-Charlton. Beautiful view of the city. Maintenance is prompt and the place looks brand new each and every day. Frankly, it’s swank. If you can afford it, I’d say you would be hard pressed to do better. Suffice to say I won’t be a resident and for me the Veterans Administration awaits. Still, if I could, I would. Based on visiting Plymouth Place every day for the past several years I easily give it 5 stars.

No, it’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for! You can’t buy piece of mind. I’m so happy to have this option for my mother. It’s beautiful inside and out! Most importantly, she receives top-notch care and the staff is friendly and caring.

Nice looking facility, however it appears the rehab floor may discriminate against Medicare patients, preferring to accept only those patients that allow them to maximize their monetary intake(short term recovery patients) via Medicare lump-sum payment program. In my opinion, facilities that are more interested in profits than health care should be dropped as Medicare providers.
