I like the part of the shop were you can sample the vinegar and oil. The ladies were so helpful. You can sample the salad dressings. I felt comfortable with my purchases after being able to try them. Some of what I bought was very pricey and I hate buying something that doesn’t taste good. Very well rounded shop with lots of cookware, utensils, touristy stuff… great store. Friendly atmosphere too…

If you go to La Conner and you are an olive lover then this is a must place to go to. They have an incredible selection of olives and the ability to sample many of them. Make sure to try and buy the Jamaican Jerk olives. You won’t be disappointed that you did. There are many other fantastic foods and kitchen supplies available in their shop. We LOVE this place!

Attached to the Ginger Grater, this little shop can be easy to miss which you shouldn’t do. The best part: a whole shelf of olives for martinis. Olives marinated in vermouth is just the perfect amount for a martini. The sweet pearl onions in vermouth are delicious, too. They have a nice selection of stuffed olives which are my favorites.

I love olives and can eat these straight out of the bottle… the Olive Shoppe is like a little piece of heaven to someone like me. The shop cariies all kinds of fun kitchen gadgets and gizmos, too. The olive selection is extensive, but I stick to my favorite — large almond stuffed green olives. The tasting counter is pretty cool — a quater to try two while the owners share their knowledge of olives. Their passion for olives is the reason why their store is always busy!

My wife LOVES going to The Olive Shop/Ginger Grater when we visit La Conner. She always finds something new and/or something interesting in the way of olives, olive oil, vinegars(think meyer lemon vinegar — amazing) and just items for the home. Some made here in Washington. I rank it as a must visit when in La Conner

We had fun tasting all the types of delicious olives and bought a bunch of them. They even shipped them for us for the same price the Post Office charges with no up-charge for packaging. We will order more to be shipped to us again. Great shop.

I just have to say, for me it is all about the Walla Walla Onion Cucumber Salad Dressing! Just like the previous reviewer said, you can do all kinds of olive tasting. You can also taste all of the dressings and mustards. This is how was came upon this amazing dressing. So here are the must haves: –Walla Walla Onion Cucumber Dressing — Nicoise Olives(they are lush and buttery and not overly briney — I am not a huge olive lover and I loved these) The shop also has all kinds f great gadgets and fun kitchenwares. Great customer service and an all around fun place to stop in.

Awesome store with a great emphasis on, well, olives. The coolest part? The olive tasting. A quarter gets you two olives, limit four(or else people would just stand at the counter all day). The sample variety is impressive.

I love seeing passion in the food industry. Wine is defined by it, beer is finally getting to that point in American culture, but other than that it’s the rare specialty shop that truly shows love for their culinary niche. Such is the Olive Shoppe. You walk in and it’s like a ten year old telling you about his pokémon, except it’s a foodie who loves olives. Yes, clearly they love your business, but they seem to love their products far more than your business; that’s the kind of food I like eating. The shop owners love their wares and instantly like other people who like olives. The sample bar is a ridiculously good feature – anyone can justify dropping $.25 on two gourmet olives. While eating my olives, I was told about the ingredients, how it’s made, and the best way to marinate a steak in the brine. Aside from this, their products are extensive and exotic. This would probably be the only shop in La Conner that I would have to always visit every time I came through.
