Love this place. Our favorite in La Conner and we stop here on our way for lovely dinners. Nothing like a modern take on Polish cooking, the beer and cider is great, service is wonderful and live music too.

I really like this place… And I was so disappointed that the doors were locked. They must have felt sorry for me, because they let me in, saying they were just restocking. I was in the mood for beers and appetizers. I love exploring new flavor and textures, and this place does not disappoint. Pickled eggs, herring, and sour beer. My friends think I’m crazy, but I am in heaven. Thank you for letting me in and feeding me!

Ate here with wife and daughter last night. Wife had duck and was very happy. I had polish meatloaf dish and it was very hearty and tasty. Daughter had mushroom soup for starter and loved it. They ran out of soup shortly before we got main courses. Daughter also had crepes with chicken, bacon and mushrooms and it was very tasty. Wife wanted to eat daughters mushrooms so almost had an argument on hand… So with all the positive comments, why not 5 stars. 1) I think one of the cooks was out if I heard the waitress correctly, but it took almost an hour to get main dishes. And people who came in much later than us got there main dishes about the same time as us. 2) Three times I asked waitress for extra napkins and I never got one. Maybe she was to busy or they don’t give extra napkins, but what ever reason it just seemed like she blew me off. Will we return, heck yea. The food was great and I can understand the delays if they are real busy. Frankly this is a local joint for us and wish we would have started going years ago but just missed it I reckon. I am not sure I agree it’s $$, instead I would say $$$ since we spent over 100 with tip on 2 adults and 1 kid with no alcohol.

This place is a find and has wrestled its way into the top three places to dine in a small town that is a heavyweight for very good restaurants. I have been here on three occasions and it has been a home run every time. The first was a duck special, the second a lamb burger special(cooked perfectly medium rare as requested) and lastly their staple perogies(the chef is Polish). The beers are top notch, and are MUCH better choices than the nearby brewery. Beerphiles can confirm this on untapped. If you find yourself in LaConner be sure to put this place on your short list. If you can combine it when they have live music that is agreeable to you, put it at the top of your list!

Ate here for brunch on a Saturday. I had the pork hash breakfast and the hash was like someone had dumped a pound of salt in it. It was so salty I could only eat less than half of it. Not a good experience. Took 2 beers at La Conner Brewery to get tthe salt taste out of my mouth!

This is a wonderful find!!! Not only was the food delicious the waiter(who I am assuming is family his brother is one of the chefs) was amazing. Great service and food. We all had something different and tried it all. The burgers are thick and hand made. The chicken sandwich was just as good the second day as it was the first. These are the kids of places that keep you going back.

Who knew a burger could be so good? The bun and sauce were perfect on a quality grass fed burger. My husband had the special burger which came with portobello. Yummy red potatoes on the side — loved them better than fries. This place is a great find. A local told us it was a good choice as we contemplated the menu from the side walk. And they had water by the door for our dogs. We will definitely be coming back.

This place is legit. we went for all of the polish food — perogies, sausage on a roll and mushroom soup. The food was excellent. Busy Saturday brunchtime and the service was good as well. Knocking down one star only because the ambience isn’t great. All in all I’d definitely come back and would highly recommend.

I was a little hesitant to visit but I trusted my friends judgment and went. Not sure what I can say about this place but it is fantastic! Great food, service and beer selection. In a cool little town this restaurant is a true gem. As I said I was a little unsure about going but once I set eyes on the menu I was glad I went. After about 3 or 4 item selection I settled with the beer bratwurst and it was fantastic, the BBQ sauce has just the right kick. All members of the party were impressed with choice. Very good food and atmosphere. Keep up the good work

My Father’s Day Dinner«1st choice» was closed and so we headed to LaConner, because that place rocks with great eats, to find some new place to try. On the way my wife Unilocaled for something fun… Blah blah…“and Stage?” Wait… what? Polish? What do they eat? How many stars… how many reviews? Let’s do that! A remodeled old, small town, Bank of America building, converted into a quaint, hipster, dining establishment with a stage… a 8×10 foot, 8 inch high venue smack dab in the center… for local artists(posters on wall near«stage») to stage! The wait staff were unassuming, shorts and beanie wearing, very real people who knew their menu better than the print one did. Our waiter has a perogie named after him and actually was hand forming them behind an observational window while we were eating our apps and waiting on entrees. This is nothing like your normal eatery here. Get this: Appetizer of Pickled Develed Eggs?!! Yes, and they were amazing! I ordered a «design your own Bloody Mary»…without the alcohol, though their selections were crazy wide. I could go on about what I had and how fabulous the whole experience was, with family and fun-fantastic food but let me just say that you will need to go there yourself and do your own review. Love it when local does good! This is real good!

I was really here to hear Mia Vermillion sing, but took the opportunity to sample the fare. Pretty good stuff, though they happened to be out of the mushroom soup, which is what I was hoping to eat. The stuffed portabella was great. And, since it was a Polish restaurant, I had to try one of the vodkas, and that was smooth. I can’t relate to some of the comments about the help. The person who served my table was polite and didn’t take too long.

What a great restaurant! I’ve never had polish food before eating at Anelia’s, and now I can’t wait to explore the menu further. I had the hungarian mushroom soup and potato cheese pierogis. Both were fantastic! My only wish is that the soup had more mushrooms, but this wasn’t enough to knock off a star. The specialty cocktail menu is impressive. I had the Anelia’s Rose and it was superb. Tart, not too sweet and beautifully garnished. From 2−5pm specialty cocktails are $ 2 off. Before we even finished our meal, my friends and I were planning our next trip to La Conner to eat at Anelia’s!

After strolling through the tulip fields, I stumbled on this place while walking the main strip of La Conner, WA. It has a bit of a modern feel with its sleek décor and clean lines, but it is still cozy and inviting with wood floors and tables reminding me of an upscale beer hall. The lighting is dim except for spotlights on the pop of color from local artists hanging on the walls. The place had a few patrons on a late Monday evening, but I was greeted promptly by Molly who was serving as the hostess, bartender and waitress. She was friendly and invited me to sit myself wherever my heart desired. I chose the bar since the seating at the tables and the bar all had access to a large picture window with views of the main street and the waterfront across the road. The place is famous for its bloody mary’s which you can customize with ingredients like bacon. Despite the titilating options on the bloody mary menu, the spicy polish margarita was calling my name. The mild strawberry mix was served on the rocks with the glass rim dipped in a spicy concoction and garnished with a strawberry. Not being familiar with the Polish food items on the menu, I opted for the Polish Platter which allowed me to sample the best of everything. Kielbasa sausage served on a bed of sauerkraut was standard fanfare that did not disappoint. The cheese and potato pierogies were creamy and filling. The halupki was an unsual combo of beef, pork and spices wrapped in cooked cabbage and topped with a tomato-type sauce. I devoured the entire plate, including the unusual red cabbage salad with sweet candied pecans. I loved the«new» mix of flavors, new to me anyway, as I have not experienced Polish food. The meal left me completely satisfied and entertaining the thought of when I might make the 30+ mile trip back to dine here again.

Yum this place was so good! If I lived closer I’d be here weekly. Cocktails are fresh, unique and delicious. And the food is just as tasty. We had mushroom perogi and potato, both were really good. Cabbage salad another gem. We also had bread pudding, a perfect finish. They gave us a new cocktail to try, rose flavor deliciousness. You won’t be disappointed.

Everything about Anelia’s is fantastic! Overall, it’s an adorable, cozy place to come for a few drinks and comforting yet elevated Polish fare. Food: 5 stars. Everything we’ve ordered– polish sample platter, polish burger, pierogies are all delicious. Good portion sizes(last time my husband and I split the platter and it was enough for two people, and we were pretty hungry). Drink options: 5 stars. Many taps to choose from, great local choices for beer/wine/cider. Have not tried any cocktails here but from the menu, they look enticing. Service: 5 stars. Always friendly, seated right away, food comes out within reasonable time of placing order. Atmosphere: 5 stars. Cozy, warm and inviting. Tiny stage set-up which makes me want to turn late afternoons into evenings here, but alas the music is usually several hours away.
