Wow ! We celebrated my parents 50^th birthday and ordered the cake from Cakery Bakery and it was Excellent and delicious! It really exceeded our expectations. From the day we went to place the order Kelly helped us she was very sweet patient and kind and extremely helpful.
She gave us great tips on how to get more for our budget. I highly recommend to get your cakes here bread is moist and perfect! By far the best cakes !

Had a designer cake made here — they did a great job. I was a little nervous as I had never used this bakery before and the event was an important one… But they took my order and make the exactly to my requests. The cake was super moist and the frosting and fillings were perfect. Everyone at the event wanted to know where the cake came from. I also had a moment to try their cupcakes and cookies in their display case — all super great too. Nice people too!

It actually really hurts me to write this review, because my entire family has been loyal cakery bakery customers for years, however, I was soo disappointed with my last cake. We’ve been ordering birthday cakes for years, and even wedding cakes for myself and other family memeber’s weddings. This time I ordered a half sheet chocolate cake with raspberry Bavarian center for my 2 year old’s birthday, and I had my cousin who lives down the street, pick it up for me on her way here. The actual cake tasted amazing, like it always does, but the decorations were so bad that I was even embarrassed to have it sit on the dessert table. I only asked for their basic decorations, but this time it looked as if I had done it myself, and like it was my first time doing so. A few family members even asked if I got it at our local Spanish market or at albertsons. I was glad that I ordered mini cupcakes and a jumbo cupcake from a different place, because I was able to use that instead, to sing happy birthday. I haven’t called them yet to let them know how disappointed I was, but I will be doing so tomorrow. Unfortunately I don’t know that anyone in our family will want to order from them again, and my friend who is getting married in May, decided she wouldn’t be using them after seeing the work they did.

Delicious! We got our four layer wedding cake here! If I remember correctly we had a lemon with raspberry filling, red velvet, hazelnut and strawberry butter cream. They were all so good! I can’t even tell you how delicious it was! People usually pick at their cake at weddings and you see half eaten slices sitting around but I think everyone who got cake devoured it and we got a lot of compliments on it. I didn’t get a minute to actually enjoy it at the reception but when I got home I stuffed my mouth with the strawberry butter cream. Oh my gah!!!

One this day (Oct 27), 8 years ago, my Husband and I got married and had the best cake of our lives (posted pic); each year we order a replica cake to celebrate our anniversary.
Thank you Cakery Bakery for making each year feel like the first.

All I have to say is horrible costumer service, owners namely Zora is very hard to work with and quite rude. Cake is good though.

This is my go-​to bakery! I trust them with all of our special occasion cakes including our wedding cake, grandma’s birthday and most recently a baptismal cake for my sister’s girls. The cakes are just the right flavor and super moist. They don’t get 5 stars because the counter service isn’t always the friendliest and once I bought cupcakes there that didn’t impress me too much. But they have always come through with their cakes in terms of quality and design, so I am a big fan and recommend this bakery to others regularly.

I have been a long time customer of Cakery Bakery. Overall I am happy with the service and cakes. They are not the most bubbly staff but they are nice. My usual order is the chocolate cake with fresh strawberries and bananas as the filling and whip cream frosting because it’s the least sweet. My guest always love and compliment the cakes.
The cake itself is very moist and not overly sweet. If you take in pictures of colors/​decorations you want they will custom decorate your cake. I do prefer to meet with Zora the store owner when placing my order as she’s the decorator.
I recommend you take in a picture or colors/​designs that you want for a custom design this way you get exactly what you ask for or very close. For a great tasting cake this is the place.

Love this bakery! I am posting this 3 years after our wedding but our cake was so delicious, I had to show love on Unilocal.I recommend this bakery to anyone who want an affordable and tasty cake for an event in your life. Our cake was chocolate cake with raspberry Bavarian cream filling and whip cream dyed to match my wedding shoes. They dyed our cake perfectly, it matched my shoes and other accents we had for our wedding.

The most delicious and beautiful cake for a 40^th birthday. Delivered right on time (a few minutes early). Delicious marble and strawberry cake, the best I’ve ever had. Ordered over the phone to super helpful lady. Thanks!

My friends were super excited about their baby’s 1^st birthday, and spent a lot of money ($$$) on their cake. When I saw it, I was so shocked. It was ugly and sad. I didn’t even take a picture of it, because I was just — unimpressed. Turns out, they were embarrassed by it too! The colors were not like the picture they sent in, and the baby’s birthday year was wrong. For that much cost, the cake should at least be correct on the basics. Super disappointing.

I came here to get a fondant cake made for my son’s FIRST birthday. My wife brought a picture of the art that we wanted on the cake, and were excited to have an artsy cake that would perfectly fit the theme.
As soon as we walked in, however, we were greeted with unfriendly service by an older woman. We had a picture, and knew what colors we wanted, but she treated us as if we were being difficult. Her lack of patience during the 10 minute process was nearly a deal breaker, but because of the proximity we went ahead and ordered the cake anyway.
The day comes and we have a friend pick up the cake, and wouldn’t you believe it, the cake wasn’t the way we asked her to make it, even though we emailed her the picture. And here’s the kicker: THE CAKE SAID HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY. We had to use a knife to cut out the numbers. The cake tasted ok. A little too sweet, even after cutting out the fondant.
Next time I spend $ 110 on a birthday cake, I’d like to at least have the very basics, such as friendly service and the correct age written on the cake. This woman just lost an entire group of local customers for life.

After my last review, the owner personally contacted me with a very sincere apology. She asked if I could give their company another chance and I agreed-fair’s fair. My wife and I went in and were greeted by Kelly. She’s very kind and informative. We don’t have a lot of time on our hands, so we picked up a ready baked cake in the display. We also picked up a butter cupcake for our daughter. We got a raspberry cream cheese cake. We couldn’t wait to go home and try it! We opened the box, cut the cake and had a taste of one of the most moist, creamy, & delicious cakes. My experience was much better than my original. One piece of advise I must give is go to see Zora or Kelly when you go in. That way you’ll get both customer service and a great cake.
We will definitely go back and try other cakes.

They do custom cake cakes, you can bring in a photo and they will make it exactly like your photo. cakes are delicious but little bit pricy. you can preorder or they also have pre-​made ones but choices are not many.

This is the first negative review I’ve ever given. I usually don’t take the time but my experience was so horrible I feel obligated to warn other people about this place
My son’s birthday party was yesterday and I called to see if it was possible to have them print edible photo images for the top of the cake. I needed the images only as the cake was part of the package with the venue. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem.
I came to pick up the images yesterday (2 for $ 25) and was shocked at the way I was treated and the horrible quality of the pictures!
I think this place is owned by a husband and wife. When I walked in, I was approached by the husband who asked what I was there for. I told him very clearly that I was there to pick up some edible images for a cake that should have been ready the prior day and gave him my name. I had to repeat myself like three times (nicely). He rudely said, «ok, what is it you are picking up?! Did we tell you it’s ready?!» Questions like that over and over. It was so strange.
Finally the wife came out and knew the images of which I was referring. She got them out and said, «The colors are what they are. Sometimes they don’t print out right. If you had ordered the cake with us, I could have air brushed them and corrected the colors.» I was disappointed but said, «ok,» thinking she would at list knock a couple bucks off since no air brushing was done and the colors were off. Nope. She still charged me the full price. I asked nicely if it was still $ 25 considering the colors and she was not happy with my question! She said, «this was a custom order! I didn’t even have to do this for you!» I told her I would have gone somewhere else had I known it was going to be a problem. She then threw a $ 5 bill at me! I said «no, just keep it» and walked out the door. Needless to say I spent the money and did not even end up using the prints due to the quality.
I heard their cakes are good but sadly I will never know as I refuse to go back to an establishment that treats people so awfully.

One of my clients at work gave us a Merry Christmas red velvet cake. Not knowing exactly where she got it from, we were so shocked at the first taste of the cake. It was, exactly our first words, «Wow, this cake is so moist and not to sweet!» My whole family loved the cake. I’m hoping to visit the store and enjoy the customer service as well!
Will be back to review the customer service and store.
I have came back to check out the shop and buy a cake for my mother’s birthday. I am very happy with how the cake came out! This time I have marvel cake with cream cheese. My goodness the cake is very beautiful and the customer service is very nice too, this is a really sweet bakery! I would highly recommend it!

They make great Birthday cakes. they can even scan a picture on top of the Cake. They made special cakes for my daughters birthday party. Not once but twice.
Their pastries and danishes are fabulous also.

We have been getting our cakes from this place ever since we moved to the area around 6 years ago.
Presently, my wife was looking for a farm themed cake for our son’s 1^st birthday to serve to about 20 – 25 people. She had a sample picture from the web which consisted of a round cake, covered in green fondant, some brown fencing made fondant around the cake, and a few plastic farm animals on top.
She visited some cake shops in and around Glendale and the prices they quoted for such a cake was RIDICULOUS, ranging between $ 250 – 300.
Don’t get me wrong, such amount won’t break our bank, but it is a matter of principle. After all, we are dealing with flour, sugar, and a few other ingredients.
Cakery Bakery was her last stop and she was able to get the cake for $ 100 minus the animals on top. As for the animals, I managed to find them on Amazon from a cake supplier for under $ 10.
In closing, the only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because their cakes used to taste much better. Now don’t get me wrong, I still think they have better tasting cakes than the so called «cake shops» popping up nowadays in Glendale charging double.

My brother had Cakery Bakery make his wedding cake that he had a few weeks ago and it was beautiful (but standard white wedding cake with 4 tiers). My brother’s florist for the wedding decorated the cake w/​fresh flowers.
Anyways, the cake flavors that were in this cake were bavarian raspberry and banana marble. I liked the cake itself, as it was very moist and had a great sweetness, but not overly sickeningly sweet.
I would definitely like to try this bakery again, perhaps having them make the next birthday cake for a loved one or perhaps a cake for the next work function.

Ordered my wedding cake from them for my wedding last week. The cake looked exactly as I wanted (I’m a plain & simple kinda girl) the flavor was really good & cake very moist.
Would use them again.
