Out Of The Blue Salon & Skin

I have been to visit Out Of The Blue again, this time for a haircut. My Mother and Grandmother always said a woman’s hair is her crowning glory and now mine is thinning. Mary is a miracle worker, I honestly did not think my hair could look this good again. She meticulously sculpted long layers and a subtle side bang. When I arrived home my husband told me I looked 10 years younger! Mary has a natural ability to design hair, thank you!

Angel listened to what I wanted and did a great job. I called while diving into town and they were able to take me within the hour. Great service for a super fair price as far as I’m concerned. I’ll be back when the time comes.

Angel did a wonderful job with my hair. He was amazing! I have a pixie so I feel that you really need to pay attention to detail and he definitely did! I love my new cut!

Excellent service! I went in for a wash and style. It was a good environment, my stylist Erica was very nice! They only charged me 20 $ to wash my hair, blow dry it and curl it! Love! Down the street at Monroe they wanted to charge me double the price! Now a client!

I went to this fine establishment on April 28^th 2015 and was very pleased. Not only could they fit me in with a cut and color on short notice but I was also able to get my eyebrows waxed.
I rarely treat myself to haircuts, hair color and eyebrow waxing so this made me very happy that I could do it without having to schedule it because most of the times I’ve done that I ALWAYS back out!!! Erica, I found out, is only 2 months into her place at Out of the Blue but you’d never know it. She was very sweet and professional and did exactly what I asked. She also made my hair color peeeeerfect!
I feel so bad about this but I’ve forgotten the name of the wonderful woman who waxed my brows. She also was so sweet and friendly and did an amazing job. I will most definitely return here.

I am in love with my hair every time I go see Bobbie Kleman. She is an amazing stylist! She really listens to me and has a an awesome talent for creating the perfect colors. Sometimes, I’d venture to say she is a bit of a mind reader. :)
She did my wedding hair which I was so impressed with. I wanted purple and blue sections, and she put them in at an angle, which was genius! Depending on how I styled my hair I could show more or less color.
Yesterday I went in and she wowed me again. I gave her some vague guidelines– dark red, a touch of purple, a lot shorter, and bangs. She worked her magic, and I left feeling like such a badass. People were complimenting the new hair everywhere I went!
Her attention to detail really impresses me. I always feel like my needs are met completely, and she is quick to make sure I’m comfortable and asks if I need anything. Bobbie is a fabulous conversationalist as well. It’s like talking to an old friend. :)
Bobbie Kleman is an exceptionally talented individual and a kind human too. I’m so lucky to have found her!

I had completely grown out the blue in my hair for about the last year and a half, in part becuase I was too broke to properly maintain it, and also because I wanted it redone in a very particular way (I like a LOT of big chunks of bright color, but I also need to be able to plausibly camoflauge it for my straight job once in a while.)
Finally, it was time to get rid of my re-​virginized brown locks and sit down in Bobbie’s chair. I went armed with a handful of pictures of the various iterations of blue highlights on layered hair that I’ve had over the years, and Bobbie asked me a billion questions about what I liked and didn’t like about each of them, relating to both the cut and the color.
I told her about my preference for blues that fade to lighter blue or purple but NOT green, and that my ideal color is the bright happy cobalt of a TARDIS. We talked about texturing my layers and how fine my hair is.
Then, when she started on the actual act of applying bleach, she did a double check about how I wanted the color to look towards the front of my head. We decided together on a strategy for dying the majority of my hair blue in such as way that I could still downplay it with a ponytail. (It’s bigger on the inside! Wait, wrong big blue thing…)
All of this to say that my hair is now exactly the color I desired, with perfect layers, in exactly the way that I desired. This combination has not been accomplished so well since I was getting my hair done regularly by my best friend’s Mom in NJ (years ago).
A+ for Bobbie, for being an absolutely terrific communicator and understanding what I wanted even better than I was able to ask for it. See you again when it’s time for touch ups, girl!

I swear by Hayley. That girl can cut hair like no other, and she also did my makeup for my sorority formal.
The price was reasonable, and she’s not only great at her job, but a great person.
Everyone else there seems lovely as well!
