Unfortunately, Thomas is not a man of his word and can’t be trusted. I’m sorry to see a fellow bourbon lover with no concept of what’s right and what’s wrong. Just remember, Karma is a bitch.

Come here if you want to be swindled at the cash register. No prices marked on anything. Mostly because they’re made up depending on how much Thomas feels he can squeeze out of you at the moment. Plan on hard sales tactics and shady characters. Everything is always the best and you’ve just got to try it. You’ll spend $ 800 bucks on that awesome beer recommendation. Go down the street. This place is played out.

Every time i have gone in there the shelves appear to be half empty of liquor. They do have quite the selection of Beer/Wine, but as far as hard liquor not at all. The owner is cocky and tries to come off friendly but isn’t. I called him out on his attitude and lack of customer service and he tried to sweeten up afterward, but the damage had been done. Been in there 3 times and his attitude has always been the same. Best part about the store is the German Sheppard.

Owner can’t take a joke — he had just made fun of a black customer who was a friend and after I made a light hearted comment, he threatened me, telling me his German Shepherd would attack me and he mentioned repeatedly that he had a black belt in karate, trying to intimidate me. He was not joking. He forgets I was a loyal customer when he first opened his business. I had not gone back since it became so over-priced. I recently stopped in for a quick beer purchase and the idiot not only did not recognize me, he treated me like dirt. I will never go back to that over-priced redneck hell hole.

I was not happy with the customer service I got here. I will NOT be going back. I felt pushed into purchasing a certain product when I knew for sure what I was in there for. It’s horrible when someone is putting down the product you went in there to get just because they don’t carry it or it’s out. The man made me feel bad just for wanting the product that I wanted. Terrible experience at this place. I’d rather shop local and I love shopping local most of the time but I honestly get better service at Twin liquors.

Big fan the gang at FriDaze Liquor. Knowledgeable and friendly staff without being pushy. They don’t do the massive volume as some larger places, but they are local and close… so that’s a big plus for us!

The owner is a character! That’s a good thing by the way, I love his no-nonsense attitude. Fridaze is a clean, well stocked locally owned option for anyone in Kyle to visit. He’s got a competetive stock compared to, let’s say twins(the one in Kyle also). His prices are better, and he isn’t afraid to step out from behind the counter to make a suggestion or two if you’re in need of one. The selection isn’t convoluded with cheese trays and meats like at Specs but he still has you covered, from pink moscato, to vodka and rum.

So I just type here? Oh so if I want a fun and knowledgeable experience this is the place I go. Thomas not only recomends beverages, he challanges and invites the adventurous lust for life through a passion for his craft. This is my local spot. End of story. Love it.

FriDaze is a great store for quality beer that you will not find at your corner store. The employees are very helpful and friendly. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because they keep the really good beer«in the back» so you have to know to ask for them and cannot browse through their entire selection. But if you are near Kyle, TX and a fan of quality beer, then FriDaze is definitely worth a stop.

Both times I have attempted to go here they have not been open. The first time was a Saturday they were not open even though the hours showed them to be. The second time was this post Thursday after work. I got there right about 6pm to find a «Be back in 30mins, thanks» sign on the door. I waited for thirty minutes and no one returned. Even though I live in plum creek and would love to have a reliable liquor store so close, both times I had to go to twin liquors next to HEB. Really disappointing

Our go-to place for craft beer when we visit my parents in Kyle. Really nice & helpful owner. Just picked up a Dogfish Miles Davis and a Prairie Artisan Bomb — yum!

fridaze delivered 4 kegs of beer(2 fireman’s four and 2 shiner bock) for our wedding at the nearby winfield inn in kyle. we had originally been thinking about using another local vendor, but changed our mind when we realized they didn’t deliver and we really needed to get the beer delivered at the last moment to keep it cold. we contacted fridaze just a few weeks before the wedding, and they were great, reasonably priced, and everything went smoothly. would definitely recommend to others!

I’m not sure if this place is still going to be open. It has been closed for about a month and I am so sad and hope it will open again. This is the ONLY place to get good beer in Kyle. The second best is HEB. That’s how bad it is. Everyone is really nice too.

Best beer selection in Kyle, TX, hands down! Sure they’re a liquor store & their beer selection isn’t exactly huge like Whip-In or Sunrise Mini-Mart, it’s all about selection here. They do carry the standard Budweiser/Miller products but their craft beer selection is very well selected & they carry varuious beers that you have to really hunt for elsewhere. When it comes to beer stores & beer selection, most people in Kyle resort to HEB which seldom updates their selection or run to San Marcos or Austin to get the latest brew. You can get some really good, hard to find beers at FriDaze & not have to drive far to get it. So if this place is so awesome, why give it a 4? The only reason I’m giving it a 4 is that I feel this store has way more potential in regards to beer selection. Their craft beer selection, while great in regards to what they offer, unfortunately does not offer very much of what they carry. We were able to purchase a bottle of Saint Arnold Endeavor 2013 but it was kept«in the back»(to keep people from trying to buy the whole supply) & the clerk had to call the owner himself & ask permission to sell us the bottle. Not cool! I understand that there is limits to the amount of things one can purchase, it’s just sad that it has to resort to getting permission from the owner. So to all my fellow beer connesisseurs & Unilocalers in Kyle, as well as to my Austin Unilocalers who happen to be in the neighborhood; check out this place & show your love & support for the local communities. Maybe with more demand & business, this place might get even more craft varities & their beer choices will expand! Oh yeah, they have a great liquor selection & Texas liquor selection as well!

Pretty damn good beer selection. They have rare finds like Stone«Enjoy by», Dogfishead«120 minute», and other cool guy drank stuff. They carry spirits from local distilleries and I think that’s cool for a small business in Kyle. The owner apparently also owns a landscaping/handyman service. Staff is friendly and made sure we got what we were looking for. He even checked in the back to see if they had it chilled. Definitely making this my new spot for toothpix!

I moved to Plum Creek in Kyle from Austin TX, Imagine the Shell Shock from living seconds from everything, to being around nothing familiar. First week here I tried stopping at the local convenience stores, and wasn’t able to find a single beer worth buying. Hillbilly juice, and soda. I was about to panic, till I realized that there was a liquor store right outside my backdoor. Had an interesting fun name, and was certainly going to be better than my previous store experiences. I went ahead and gave the place a try with full optimism. To my surprise, i had found the Oasis I was looking for! A good assortment of quality Beer at a great price! Pale Ales, Stouts, Porters, and everything else. Foreign and Local. Friendly service, Neighborly feel, and wide assortment of spirits. I haven’t dived in to all the spirit selection, but seems to have all my favorites. If you are like me and live close, drink only the best, but don’t want to have to walk through an HEB. Then Give FriDaze a try. You can’t go wrong!
