Recently I had car trouble on a road very near Kutztown. I called and was put on hold while the lady I had been speaking to took what was either a personal call or a call with a truck operator. The call lasted several minutes, while the only thing I needed to hear was«we’re on our way»(since she knew all the relevant info). I was on a pay-per-minute phone, so I hung up and called back, to be greeted with a high level of annoyance. Despite being so close to Kutztown(within 3 – 5 minutes of the university), I waited 50 minutes for a tow. After the first half hour with no one in sight, I called back, particularly since it was a pretty warm afternoon. I was told that someone was on his way. Twenty minutes later, a friendly truck driver pulled up. My sense in talking to him was that the lady had sent her primary truck driver on another assignment, which prevented him from coming to get me. Had I not called, I probably would have been waiting for another significant amount of time(e.g. another 45 minutes or so), since it seems like she called a secondary driver(the one who showed up) to come and get me only after I called a second time. It’s of course annoying that she didn’t realize the first truck driver was taking a while and call me to apologize and tell me someone was on their way, rather than me having to call back to get service. Between the initial bad customer service and the long wait, I would have preferred to call a different towing company(since there are others in Fleetwood, etc. that are within range). This was the more annoying since I chose this company because of the other, very positive Unilocal review. It’s a $ 100 flat fee local tow. I had them tow to Reading, PA(about a 20 – 25 minute drive from Kutztown) and paid $ 150.

Not only towed our car when we were stranded driving from Boston to Tennessee But Tried very hard to fix the problem When nothing worked Found us a room at campus inn Came back after taking my husband to get car to a repair place and drove our family up to the grocery so we didn’t have to walk both ways in the heat Could not have been nicer Now AAA on the other hand was a mess Thankful the online thing works When we called we were left stranded for an hour
