Adventures in Whitewater

These guys are THE BEST! Always in good spirits and always super fun! This is turning into an annual event for our group. We did Clear Creek for the first time and had a blast! They really know what they’re doing. They are very knowledgable and made everyone feel comfortable and safe. They had wetsuits and booties, dry jackets and helmets for everyone. Very accommodating. Seriously an absolutely phenomenal crew! We can’t wait for next year!

We have been on several river trips. Justin, the owner, is so awesome and has worked with us on both our trips to accommodate us. Bill, Creech, Jenn and newer member Nick were spectacular today. We were celebrating my brother’s 50^th birthday and Father’s Day. The crew looks after everyone and that is why our 74 year old father had a great time. The ages on the trip were 13 to 74 and everyone had a great time.
We did 22 miles through the Clear Creek Canyon.

Fun & professional staff! Had a great half-​day trip on the Upper Colorado. Staff was knowledgeable about local geography, history, & wildlife. Great time had by all!

I had an amazing trip with my whole family down the Upper Colorado this week! The guides were very knowledgeable and guided us effortlessness through the rapids. I was impressed on how smooth they were even this early in the season. Can’t wait to go back!

We rafted today with Alex, Justin and Louie. They were personable, professional, hilarious and most importantly incredible guides. Alex rode with us on the bus and provided tons of historical information about Kremmling, Colorado, the rivers we’d encounter, and how to survive in the wilderness… Did you know you can eat Aspen bark for pain relief similar to Tylenol? We didn’t either. Lol! The whole crew really gets along and are friends outside of work. I don’t think you can ask for more. If you want to know where to get the best pie and most delicious cut of meat after a day of river fun, get to Adventures in White Water! We will definitely be back next year for their more difficult rapids!

This company is amazing! Justin showed us an amazing time for my girlfriends birthday and for our friend who had flown in from England, both of which had never been rafting and Justin did not disappoint. Through some crazy circumstances we found this company and so glad we did! You can’t go wrong with Adventures in Whitewater, the whole staff was amazing and all of them are pros, we will be going back at the end of the summer for a longer trip and a more difficult one. Would highly recommend getting the lunch included package! It’s served partway through the river trip at a picnic spot. Lunch is not ‘gourmet’ as they claim, but catered from Subway, but still tastes really really good after a day of rafting. Okay, maybe it’s ‘gourmet’ if you consider that they brought both water and pink lemonade coolers on the rafts!
Not only does Adventures in Whitewater offer lunch on the river, but we also stopped at a cliff from which you can jump off 25 feet into the water. For anyone who wants to try cliffjumping but also wants it to be safe, this one’s for you. There was also a smaller cliff for those a little less daring.
We took the ‘beginning to moderate’ river tour, but due to low rainfall was disappointingly uneventful (June 2013), kind of like tubing down a river really, with very few rapids. Fortunately that was the only disappointing part of Adventures in Whitewater. These guys are pros, everything was well coordinated and a bucket of fun.

We were taking a family vacation and I had my two teenage children with me. We had booked the whitewater trip about a month in advance and originally had 6 people. We had changed the reservations to 3 people about 1−½ weeks before our trip and nothing was mentioned about a additional charge for cancellation. When we got to the facility the manager, can’t remember her name, was very rude and basically said too bad. Then she had the nerve to tell us our full day trip would be delayed by 1 – 2 hours because they had a last minute group of guests that wanted to do the trip as well. I said okay so are you going to pay us for the delay? She said, sure we will take off the charge for the cancellation because you have to wait — Never happened — She blew us off and was never to be found when we returned. I don’t want to knock everyone there — Our guide was awesome and we did enjoy the trip but next time I would recommend Mad Adventures. They are much more professional and have their act together. These guy’s were very disorganized and if you needed to deal with a manager, good luck!

This is a wonderful company! Brief history: this rafting company was founded by members of other rafting companies that wanted to have more control over their trips. All the employees were very helpful and wanted to be sure we had the best possible time on the Colorado River.
We booked a half-​day trip and were looking forward to it. We got a call the day before and were upgraded for free to a full-​day. This was because they needed a full boat on the full-​day trip. That was a great surprise! We showed up at 9:15am and got our gear ready. It was unfortunately a chilly, cloudy day, but we were given rain jackets that kept the water out. Our rafting trip started at the Pumphouse drop-​off and ended at Rancho del Rio. The water level is VERY high right now (about 7 times normal) so the trip lasted only three hours instead of the normal four to five hours.
Our guide was nicknamed Mouse and was EXCELLENT! He has been a river guide for 21 years and is very respected in the area. He had some great stories from his experience. We went through calm waters on up toe Level 3 rapids. Mouse was a great guide, letting us know what to do when and how things needed to be done. Because we were on a full-​day tour, we also stopped for a picnic lunch along the river. A great spread was put out to eat! Then we headed back to Kremmling, CO (office location). It was a great trip and I think everyone should go white water rafting!

I’ve gone whitewater rafting a few times, but this was one of the best. The guides were really knowledgeable and friendly. The ride went smooth and we were able to hit class III and IV rapids on Clear Creek for about 13 miles! It was affordable and great for the whole family. They do offer easier rapid trip for the youngsters. They also offer day trips, or half days in the morning or afternoon. When I return to Colorado, I will definitely go through this group again!
