Pete’s Place is a bit of an Oklahoma institution. It’s well known and if you are from Oklahoma, worth a visit. The real question… would I return? Probably not. Am I glad I went? Yes. I’d love to give it four stars, but it’s too pricey for what you get. First of all, Choc’s beer is outstanding and getting it on tap is great. Second, the main entries are pretty darn tasty. I loved their Italian sausage and the lamb fries were quite good. From what I could tell, everyone in my party of 6 liked their entries. But be prepared for how the food is served: you get a relatively small entry, but all you can eat spaghetti, ravioli(when you can get them to bring you more), salad(very simple salad), and bread(which is more diner style than Italian). This is not pretentious Italian, but much more home-cooking Italian. To put my taste for Italian in perspective, I love Italian but detest Olive Garden. I will honestly say, if the bill were closer to $ 10 – 15 per person than $ 20-$ 30, I would have given Pete’s four or maybe five stars. That’s the real reason I likely won’t go back. Small town cooking(which I love) at a big city price doesn’t appeal to me, no matter how all-you-can-eat there is.

It was ok. I tried the fried meat ravioli. The additional sides were really good. But when it came to the ravioli the layer of meat was so thin I could not believe it was even called a meat ravioli. The pasta itself was super thick and so dense that part of it was rubbery. Not impressed so I will try something else the next time. Heard the steak dinner or chicken parm was better. Staff was very nice and would definitely try again.

Really great food and even better atmosphere! We love getting to eat here because you can get your own private rooms(upon request) and you don’t have to worry about other families interrupting your meal when you want something more intimate. I absolutely love the chicken parm here. The steaks are always cooked correctly and the fried ravs are good too! We come here 1 – 2 times a month and ocasionally get food to go as well. Highly recommend and will always visit back.

Just wow! I’ve only been to Pete’s 4 times but each time I am reminded of how special this place is. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great everything. I’ve eaten here during the Scottish Rite reunion and bragged to my wife and daughters about it. They were not disappointed. Exceptional chicken Parmesan, meatballs, ravioli, and everything else. One of my favorite places in Oklahoma to eat!!!

Delicious, family-style Italian dining at the origin of some of the best made-in-Oklahoma beer. Bring an appetite, because before you even get your entrees(such as lamb fries, Italian sausage, or chicken alfredo, all amazing), you’ll have more bread, salad, ravioli, and spaghetti than you can shake a stick at. It’s impossible to leave Pete’s Place still hungry; the really challenge is leaving without feeling like you’re going to explode. Pete’s Place has many rooms of different sizes for dining; you might be in a smaller, more intimate nook or in a larger room with lots of tables. They can accommodate pretty large groups, but call ahead because they get very busy(without reservations, my wife and I waited 10 – 15 minutes for a table on our last visit). As far as I know, this is the only place in Oklahoma where you can get Choc peach beer, which is a unique beer that goes fantastically well with Italian food; it’s not too fruity, but has a bright flavor without a lot of heaviness. Always one of the best parts of the meal.

Came here today street or Talimena scenic trip. Spaghetti was great but the ravioli was a little hard. Salad was awesome, bread was awesome and the Italian Crème Cake was really tasty! I got the spumoni for dessert!

Love this place! We moved to Wilburton from Texas and found this little gold mine! Food is great and the beer is off the chain! Love the Dubbel and the Prairie Bomb paired with cheesecake… No words for it! Randall is our goto waitress/bartender in the Choc Room. So don’t walk but run to the Choc Room and give a shout to Randall… Tell her Robert & Kristin sent you!

Not what it used to be. I called 2 months in advance to make reservations for 30 people. I was coming into town and wanted to have a large family dinner. I called twice before arrival to confirm. Yet, when we showed up the room and table was not ready. I even booked a 5:30pm time on purpose to avoid crowds and so we could get right in. Instead I had older family members left to stand and hold gifts, cakes, etc while they prepared our room. When I approached who appeared to be the manager, she got an attitude with me and said they had waited to see how many actually showed up to set the room. Then, we got seated into a cramped, long room where you were only able to talk to the person to your immediate side or across. We walked around throughout dinner and there were multiple rooms available more appropriate for our size. Lastly, they assigned ONE waitress to our group of 30. She was awesome, but still only one person! Food was mediocre. Thanks Petes for NOT making this a great, comfortable evening for a family dinner we only do maybe every 5 – 7 years. You could have done so little to make it warm and memorial, but you didn’t. Won’t be back

I wanted to make sure everyone knows how yummy this place is!!! We love pete’s place… my kids love it here also!!! They have great wait staff… I read the bad or not so great reviews of this place and it makes me sad… I think why the sometimes get a bad review is because the food here taste more like homemade Italian and not like Olive Garden Italian… So when you eat here keep an open mind and imagine yourself in Italy setting with your family eating a great Sunday supper!!! That’s how my family feels every time we eat here !! Also let me just say the way they honored my veteran father made him stand a little taller!!! My only complaint is that I have to drive an hour to get here… But I guess that’s probably a good thing or I might have to take up a health club membership… Haha Also don’t forget to try the Choc beer … Hubby had the peach ale… we had to buy some to take home. Thanks pete’s place!

Food was good, however the prices were well on the high side. Not very friendly to single patrons entering on there own. Tried again taking a business sales rep and got far better treatment than when I was alone.

Compared to other joints in the area this maybe a 5 star place however when judged by a larger geography I give it three stars. All the charming atmosphere is wasted in mediocrity. The service was very casual, almost too casual. It did not seem to matter if I was there or not. The greetings felt forced and service was on the slow side. The food was good but not great or memorable on any way. Kind of sad that they can’t pull the rest of it together a little better but the locals seem to enjoy it…

Just had lunch from there via carry-out. Not only did they give me a completely different order, the food they did give me was terrible. They gave me burnt, dry fried chicken(I ordered grilled chicken alfredo). I couldn’t even eat it and I’m not a picky person at all. The spaghetti it came with was literally dry boiled noodles with a spoonful of sauce on top. By the time I got it home the pasta was so dry I had a hard time stirring the sauce into it. Everything is served family style so the dinners come with spaghetti, one meatball, two ravioli, salad, antipasta and garlic bread. They give you a ton of food, but I would sacrifice quantity for quality any day, especially for $ 23. This is the second consecutive time I’ve had food from this establishment that was subpar. This is sad because it used to be one of the best places in the area for good food and service. It’s like they just don’t care anymore. I will not be back.

I had written a long detailed review and I lost it somehow – So this on will be short and sweet – The food is absolutely HORRIBLE, ALMOST, UNEATABLE. The Restaurant itself is fabulous our waitress was wonderful. Great atmosphere but as I say the food was disgusting!!! – and very expensive!!!

Pete’s is a hidden gem. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is really cool. Don’t expect big city Italian. This place is all about family style, home cooking. Prices are a bit high for each dish considering the quantity you get, but realize everything that comes with it, is all you can eat. That includes the ice cold salad with vinegar and oil dressing, antipasto plate, garlic bread(awesome, btw), spaghetti, ravioli, and meatballs. If you leave hungry, there’s something wrong with you. I have been going there for years. I grew up about 60 miles west of Krebs, and my family would make a night of it once or twice a year. Now, I live in Dallas. Anytime I head up 75 toward Tulsa, I always make a stop. On one trip, my son’s soccer coach was with me. He grew up in Pittsburgh, and is Italian. I asked what he thought,. He said it was«the real thing». I know he’s been back several times too. This is not a fine dining experience. This is a very good place for your family to have a very good meal together. Enjoy.

This was my first time coming to Petes Place and I wasn’t disappointed ! The private rooms made the whole experience peaceful. The food was amazing in portion sizes enough for all four of us to get stuffed on. Had a chocolate chip cannoli for the first time and wow I’m wanting another one ! I will definitely be back again.

This place has great food and quirky ambiance with the individual dining rooms. We’ve been twice in two months on business trips and will definitely return next time we are in town.

Been dinning here since I was a young boy. Everything is delicious. Family style authentic Italian food. Their local brewed choc beer is refreshing. Lamb fries and fried chicken are a must if your not feeling itallian. Get there early or be prepared to wait a while. The wait is definitely worth it.

It’s not the best in the world but it does have a few things going for it. It’s a very quaint place with antiques decorating the walls and corners of the inside entrance. The staff is very friendly and prompt. Appetizers of meatballs, ravioli, salad and bread almost instantly hit the table. Choc beer is delicious and a must try for any beer enthusiast. I enjoyed the private dining rooms, it was something different for a change, as for the food, it is good but I have had better Italian through out my travels in the past.

We walked out. $ 25.00 for spaghetti is a little on the pricey side for us for lunch. The waitress told us that they did not have a lunch menu for two to three weeks in spring break season. This is a very poor tactic to increase profits at the expense of unknowing travels. I have no problem paying for what I have received and walking out. I believe that business decisions are made by the power of the purse. If more people would have the gumption to get up and leave when things are not what they expect businesses would have to chance their business practices. Please READ all reviews before visiting.

Amazing place! We drive an hour and a half to eat here and have for yrs. It is intimate for small groups or couples but they also have large rooms for large parties! If you have eaten here and been disappointed, I suggest you open your mind up to the uniqueness of this historic place and try again! PS. Don’t be afraid of lamb fries!
