I absolutely loved Ethridge Farm B&B. It was nice to get away for the weekend and be surrounded by nature. Ann is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The cabin is peaceful, well decorated, and cozy. There is even an outdoor shower! The B&B is located a short drive from the national park trails. The farm itself is huge including a lake, creek, and plenty of fruit trees. Would definitely come again next time I need some peace and quiet as it only a short drive from me(Houston).

Super quaint, quiet, lovely getaway! Order dinner… and show up for breakfast — you won’t be disappointed. The accommodations are small cabins with kitchenettes. Ours had an outside shower too! Most relaxing.

We had a great time staying at Ethridge Farm on our trip to the Big Thicket. Ann(co-owner and main cook) and Jay(caretaker and backup cook) were great – full of info about local history, helpful without intruding, and willing to accommodate my vegetarian predilection(Ann made a wonderful vegetarian shepherd’s pie for our dinner one night). We spent a week in the«Cabin on Blueberry Hill»(a re-purposed«crib barn»); it was like being on our own in the Big Thicket but with a short walk to Ann’s kitchen and civilization. The cabin had a half-height refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric griddle, and enough accoutrements that we were able to fix most of our evening meals(which we ate on the front porch of the cabin). We’ll definitely stay at Ethridge Farm the next time we’re in the area.
