I am definitely a fan of this place. We walked by here after our lunch at horse and plow and after a short stop to the Kohler design center when I was craving some chocolates. The place inside is gorgeous and if you go towards the back you get a gorgeous view of the lake and they have this stunning chandelier which you can admire as you have your coffee and chocolates. Where to start? Everything looked divine, from their cookies to their cupcakes to their macarons and of course what do I get? Ice Cream. Yep, in the winter time, that’s what i went for. Don’t you worry, I took the other stuff to go. But their ice cream just really hit my eye and their capuccino with dark chocolate chunks was amazing. And you really get your money’s worth as it’s totally not expensive for the amount you get. In fact, go all out and get a double scoop and it will cost you less than a single scoop at some other places that have this kind of adorable french bistro like atmosphere. The ice cream was delicious as I sat in the back on their super comfy leather sofas admiring the fact that I was on a weekend getaway and calories no longer mattered at that moment. Super smooth and creamy and I wanted to come back and get some the next day but we unfortunately ran out of time. The chocolates we took to the room were also very tasty, a little on the small side but definitely decadent and went well with just about anything. If you’re staying at the American club resort, do yourself a huge favor and take a walk over here as they really do offer you a sweet treat and the atmosphere is a huge bonus. Prices are also very decent.

We visited the Craverie for a late lunch after finishing up the Kohler Tour. What a beautiful spot! It’s a combination candy shop and restaurant and we tried both. We had soup and sandwiches, hot and delicious, very good coffee and bought a few chocolates on our way out– all very good. It would be a no brainier to return– you won’t go wrong.

I got the ham and brie sandwich. There was a sweet spread on it that was yummy. I also happened to sample the turkey and avocado sandwich which was just okay. With my sweet tooth I had to try some of the chocolates. This is where I was rather underwhelmed. I got a ginger, green tea and two types of caramel. For eight bucks I was hoping for some delicious morsels of goodness. Unfortunately the chocolate was so so. I would come back for the sandwich but not for the chocolate.

Craverie is an absolute must-stop when I’m in the Kohler/Sheboygan area. They have the best chocolates and pastries in the area, bar none. When you first walk in, you’re met with a glorious«L» shaped glass counter filled with chocolates, truffles, and baked goods. To the left is a wall filled with pre-packaged chocolate collections, each in a pretty gift box. The first bit of counter holds pastries, including tarts, cake, and cupcakes. More importantly(to me at least) are the glorious displays of macarons. Macarons are my absolute favorite treat, and are something I don’t get to have very often. I have come here for macarons twice now, and each time they have been amazing. They’re gorgeous and well made, with the perfect shells and a great pop of flavor in the filling. My personal favorite is the mint chocolate favor– it’s like a classy Thin Mint cookie. Then, the counter continues on to hold chocolates and chocolatey treats. I really like their gourmet smores. They come in a variety of chocolates, and the top is decorated with a print screen of bright colors, making them really eye catching! I’ve only gotten to try a few of the chocolates so far, but my favorites include the Absinthe flavor, as well as Lavender. They also have jewel-inspired chocolates that are aesthetically gorgeous, and are absolutely delicious. In the back, there is the actual café part, where you can order food, drinks/coffees, and ice cream. There’s a beautiful view back there of the lake– I’d definitely sit outside if I ordered from the café half. This is a place that’s worth the trip. The price is fair for what you’re getting, and their macarons are out of this world.

This place has the chocolate selection to die for… they have a huge variety. The prices are a little steep, but they are catering to gourmet chocolatiers… We actually had lunch here and really enjoyed it. It is a small restaurant with a view of the lake in the back. We tried ½ sandwich with soup. My wife had the veg wrap and a soup. Both were excellent. I had them make a veggiie sandwich which was amazing, and also had the french onion soup. Overall the food was very good, freshly prepared, and customized. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. Just a tip — if you buy the chocolates loose from the display case it is cheaper than buying them in the boxes.

Elegant chocolates but they do no take their restaurant seriously. Waited over 30 minutes for a couple bowls of soup and sandwhich. Waitstaff not really concerned about several reminders about our wait. Place is always feezing, including coffee, which I assume is designed to keep chocolates fresh but bring a jacket and be prepared to wait for food that takes five minutes to prepare from an experienced chef.

We loved our lunch here! This place is so cute. Next time, we’d like to sit in the little lounge area by the fire place overlooking the lake. As far as food, I had a grilled cheese and fruit. Hubby had a veggie salad and a sandwich. We shared a french onion soup, which was really good. The fresh juices we both had were amazing. In lieu of dessert, I had a really good hot chocolate to go. We’d definitely come back here.

After spending about five hours visiting the Kohler Design Center and touring the Kohler Factory, we were ready for some lunch. We were given a recommendation from the Design Center to check out the Craverie Chocolatier and Café, which is located within a five minute drive. It’s located in a small mall and when you walk in the shop, you’re greeted by a large L-shaped glass display case of containing varieties of chocolates. The chocolates are from Kohler’s original recipes. The store is reminiscent of a French café. Walk towards the back, where the café is located. The menu is overhead. It is simple, drinks, salads, sandwiches and desserts. Place your order and take a seat in the dining room or the cozy back room. Our order: Turkey, Bacon, Havarti and Arugula Sandwich with a pasta salad. Sandwich was tasty and ingredients were fresh. Pasta salad was a little over-dressed. Half Albacore Tuna Salad with tomato soup. Salad was well seasoned. The service staff is friendly and attentive. If you visit the Design Center, remember to grab a coupon book for a free piece of chocolate of your choice. A nice dining choice close to the Kohler Design Center/Factory.

Classy little café & chocolate shop with a nice selection of sandwiches & salads, plus a couple soup selections. I really enjoyed the Black Forest ham & Brie sandwich & garden vegetable soup. Service was excellent. Will post an update after we try the candies we purchased to go!

Less than 2 weeks to leave Kohler and just now I find out that the best chocolate store I have been has peppermint cappuccinos! Lmao! I love peppermint coffee syrup! This place is pretty magic, I have been here a couple times already. Kohler special chocolate recipe is delicious and the ambience makes you feel cozy and classy at the same time. Fancy line of chocolates, teas, flavorful sandwiches! Pricey, true, but as kohler is more of a destination other than a place to hang out on a regular basis, I believe you can spoil yourself a bit with all this deliciousness!

This place is a nice place to hit up for lunch — even though now that it’s summer it’s open much later. My husband and I love their turkey, bacon, havarti and arugula sandwich(though I get it without havarti and with extra avocado!) It’s just delicious! I wish I would at least once remember to say ‘no mayo!“ Also this place is just gorgeous. Use the restroom and you’ll feel like a princess! (Not sure about the guys’ restroom, but maybe?) We’ve also had the ham and brie panini — delicious as one might expect. I had their Bib lettuce salad once, and it was good and refreshing, but just made me miss my sandwich ^^ Their coffees area also good, as is their ice cream. :9 Yum

Stopped in here on the way back home to grab a cup of coffee. The place is very cute and clean. I got sucked in to the place bc of all the beautiful handmade candy. Ended up getting a salted caramel éclair, box of brownie bites($ 19) and dark chocolate toffee($ 30)(both had nine pieces). I would never spend that much at home but I just finished a company sponsored weekend where they picked up the tab for everything, so I figured I could pretend I was rich for a minute :-)

This place really shows the high-end nature and luxury of Kohler. When you walk in you’re greeted by about 20′ of glass that holds all different types of chocolates and gourmet treats. Once you finish drooling over these you will notice they carry the luxury price tag but worth it. They do have a small café that overlooks the lake. I ordered a fresh arugula salad with goat cheese and beets that was really amazing. They have a great selection of tea and coffee that are all first class and delish. The staff is very nice, attentive, and professional — that of a high-end steak house. Worth stopping by and going a little out of your way if you’re in Kohler.

My wife and I stopped in here to have some coffee and some chocolates while waiting til our check in time at The American Club. Our experience was not great. My cappuccino was served in a to-go cup and it was supposed to be a 16oz drink, but I received about 1oz of coffee with 15oz of foam. My wife’s latte also came in a to-go cup. The only reason the to-go cup is an issue is because we were dining in and everybody else in the place was being served in nice coffee mugs and their chocolates were served on plates. This may not seem like much but it made us feel unwelcome. With all of that being said, the coffee was good and the chocolates were great.

Was back visiting my supplier again and saw the Craverie on our way to dinner, so decided that I must stop in before heading out of town the following day. Just like all the other Kohler establishments, the interior was classy and inviting. Even though we just had a great lunch over at the lodge, my colleague & I still found ourselves super tempted by the array of sweets. Alas, we gave in & got some gelato in addition to a few pieces of chocolates! One word: YUMMMMMM!!! While the Terrapins(what they are known for) are great, the botanical truffles are simply FABULOUS. My only complaint is the size — they are smaller than the Godiva ones(what I consider to be about a standard size), but definitely tastes WAY better. My favorite is the lavender(yes I t bought a box & tried all four flavors) — you can definitely taste all the different layers of flavors. P. S. Just to clarify: Terrapins are actually Kohler’s(better) version of Turtles, not Truffles.

Kohler Hospitality has over-hyped Craverie. One would expect a larger selection of desserts apart from the«Terrapins»(Craverie’s name for truffles) which take up 80% of the display case upon entry. A humble chocolate croissant cost me about $ 5. A slice of chocolate cake was $ 9, although the slice was generous in size, $ 9 could get me a lot more at neighboring Woodlake Market which has equally as delicious desserts. The atmosphere is classy and sharp, which fuels the marketing campaigns that Craverie employs on tourists who mainly arrive from the Chicagoland area. It would be pleasant to see more dessert offerings apart from the signature chocolates.

The turkey avocado havarti sandwich was delicious with tasty vegetable chips. You’ll like have trouble choosing just one dessert with so many to choose from. Definitely a place worth visiting and taking your time to relax and enjoy the food.

What’s not to like! A warm cozy patisserie/bistro/chocolate maker right next to the Kohler Spas. We had the Curry Chicken Wrap and the Honey Ham sandwich and they were just perfect. That combined with an awesome hot chocolate to warm us up on a cold day makes for a must do when in Kohler. Try the little heart-shaped chocolates with champagne cognac. Heaven!

I truly wish I could comment on the actual Craverie establishment itself… it’s unfortunate that I can’t — and please Unilocal don’t remove my review as ‘hearsay’, that’s such a bogus move — especially since I *can*, in fact, comment on how absolutely fantastmical, cosmical, and orgamiscal the chocolates and sweet treats I had from the Craverie were!!! As one of the ‘newer’ signature spots opened in the past year at the Kohler Shoppes on Woodlake Center, I’m sure Craverie is positively lovely and done in the fabulous luxe style that all Kohler digs are accustomed. With that said, and knowing the surroundings are likely lovely and decadent, let me tell you, the tasty bits are even better! On the real, make sure that the Craverie is a stop on your American Club agenda STAT. I was fortunate enough to have a few of their signature items be part of a welcome gift basket I received upon my stay at the Carriage House and man, oh man, lemme tell ya… I’m still dreaming about those sinful, luscious garden ganache truffles and smooth, to-die-for terrapins! No, really. I’ve visited the Kohler Chocolatier website approx 72 times since I’ve been home in the past few weeks and continue to torture myself a la Pavlov’s Dog and paw rapidly, and quite frankly, ineffectively at my monitor. Take a look at the pics I’ve uploaded… yes, they’re gorgeous, but hardly do the sweets justice. The chai and coconut garden truffles(one of Oprah’s fav for 2009) are unique, distinctive and out of this world and the ‘nutty’ terrapin with pistachios, almonds, pecans, heavy buttercream and fudgey chocolate??? Whaddya you think?! I’d kill at this point for just… one… more… According to the website, (which you can also order from!), the store itself is French-Euro café style with a warm fireplace, twinkling chandeliers, glossy mirrors, fresh pastries, savory sandwiches, hearty soups, healthy options, and oh yeah… all of the bad, bad, but oh so good sexual chocolate lova lova shizz… ahem. Let’s take the bad with the good, shall we? Pfft. Here, the bad is the good… Just call me Brett Pretzel Rod. It has a nice ring to it.
