The selection may not be massive, but I’m usually not looking for anything obscure. I buy a lot of red wine and their prices are great. They’ve always got a good selection of items on sale. The parking lot is a bit odd but the location is super convenient — if I’m going to Earthfare or Kroger anyway, Toddy’s is right there.

Toddy’s Liquor Store earns five stars for its reasonable prices. But then it loses one for both its smallish selection and the inconvenience of getting back out of its parking lot. The Good: Toddy’s offers about the best prices you will find. Frequent specials on call-brand liquor are unbeatable. Recently I saw 1.5 ltr. jugs of Bacardi for $ 19.95. Most other prices are likewise dirt-cheap. The Bad: Discount or not, they may not have what you want. Toddy’s is not very large. The wine selection in particular is paltry. You want a wine selection, try the nearby Ashe’s, or better yet, head out west to McScrooge’s. The Ugly: Getting into Toddy’s is easy from all three directions, since it is at a triangular intersection. Getting back out is a pain in the ass. Plan on exiting eastward on the north side, then doubling back to wherever you were going. And The Neutral: Toddy’s staff has always proven quick and competent. But the store is so small, there’s little call for them to do anything but stand behind the counter and ring up sales. I did once buy a case of Terra Andina Cabernet, and they scavenged up a box for it. They have seemed helpful enough, and I suppose if you needed assistance with something, they would oblige.
