Seriously pissed off. Had dinner here with a large group. Got back to our hotel and realized that we had left our credit card at the table. Called the restaurant and was told to leave our name and number for the manager. No return call. At 1045 I call again and the manager says she is going to check the safe. I hold for 22minutes … 22MINUTES… I hang up and call back and no one is answering because it’s after 11pm and they are closed. It’s seriously messed up that we can’t get our credit card back!

Called in order at 8:40 and was told 15 – 20 minutes for pick-up…still waiting for food at 9:20.

Didn’t even get seated. Did call ahead seating. When we arrived we were told 15 minutes. After waiting 40 minutes we went to the counter and was told that they had been paging us and that we would be next. After seeing 4 other people get seated we handed the pager to a manager and told him the situation and that we were leaving. He didn’t seem to care. A word of advice, this place does so much business that they don’t need your money. I will be shredding my Texas Roadhouse gift card because I can’t get in the place us use it!

Food is great but not recommended for anyone on their lunch break. We eat here at least twice a week for lunch and have for years and it takes FOREVER for a server to even take our order once we are seated. Expect at least 20 to 25 minutes from placing order to actually getting food. Many times it is 30 minutes. Luckily our lunches are 1.5 hrs but most people’s aren’t. Best to ask for the check upon receipt of food. Again, food is excellent and staff is very friendly.

I would avoid this location if you’re dying for some Texas Roadhouse. I usually like Texas Roadhouse for their consistency when travelling for work. Admittedly, my party of 4 showed up about 8:45pm, so about an hour from closing. They had computer issues with the seating, it took 25 minutes before we could place an order due to the computer having us at a different table because another server had input her table incorrectly. We were given the wrong prices for happy hour drinks, which we didn’t learn until after we had been drinking said drinks. They wound up comping appetizers to help account for the difference in cost, but there was still extra cost. We ordered only to have the server come back after about 10 minutes to advise us what they didn’t have what we ordered. He didn’t know what they didn’t have so he invited us to look at the screen he orders from to see what wasn’t in red. We chose something else & the same thing happened to me again. How is a place that specializes in steaks going to run out of so much food, especially sirloin? I asked if I could get a smaller portion or a discount since we had several issues. The answer was no. The server was trying, but was either not trained very well or surrounded by incompetence. The food was ok. We asked for medium rare & got mostly medium. My bill was about $ 12-$ 15 more than it would have been had the drinks been the price we were told & the food I wanted been available. I won’t go back to this location because it was the worst experience I’ve had with this chain by far. My three friends were of the same opinion.

WORSTEVER! July 31,2015. Party of 9, birthday party. Bad management. Bad service. Bad food. Talked to manager he said he would take off $ 27.00, well he never did. Worst birthday party ever because of this experience! Hope they get shut down !! Wish I didn’t have to even give this Nasty place even one star. Shame on this place!

Getting there upon arrival was ignored by the host and hostess who were busy gossiping about personal problems and finally when they acknowledged our existence they led us to our table 5 minutes later. Server was nice, steaks were cooked to perfection. Good price on sirloin.

We just attempted lunch here, the staff was great and the food looked good but when my husband found a live, crawling and waving at us bug in his salad, the meal went from good to awful. The manager then came out and said” oh sorry– I’ll be sure to have my bug guy come out and spray again tonight… hmmm doesn’t sound promising– good luck with your meal if you choose to eat here-added bonus protein is free!

We have always received consistent service at this location. The restaurant isn’t necessarily a favorite of ours, but the occasional visit has always been satisfactory.

This is exactly what you think it is. Peanuts on the floor, tater skins, fried stuff, a variety of steaks and ribs. Everything is consistent; I am reviewing mainly to applaud their efforts in providing gluten-sensitive items. It was no pain whatsoever to get a steak without the butter wash, steamed veggies, and a baked sweet potato with lots of cinnamon(no marshmallow, butter brown sugar stuff). This particular location is quick and consistent, and the food is always good.

Steaks are very good here. I’ve never been disappointed with the food. The place is always crowded beyond belief, but I guess that’s a good sign. It is just about the only place worth eating at in an otherwise horrible area. Make no mistake, this area is the armpit of Knoxville. If you happen to find yourself there, go to Texas Roadhouse and make the trip worth it. The service is mostly children that look, and act, like they have daddy issues. The manager clearly does not care. The kitchen manager and kitchen staff are clearly the only reason this place hasn’t been burned to the ground by its patrons. Despite my hatred of the front of the house, you defiantly need to give the food a try.

I think this might be one of the only chains around here that I am a fan of and definitely the only thing edible in the east town region. I come here to get a Chicken Critter Salad which might be the absolute best salad in the whole entire world! — if you aren’t concerned with heart health, etc. It comes with fresh non-wilty lettuce, eggs, tomatoes, TONS of cheese, bacon, and fried chicken tenders. The ranch is amazing. I have had multiple great experiences doing take out from this location. They are very thorough about going over your order before you leave so there are no surprises once you get settled on the couch in your sweatpants. I have also dined in the restaurant which was a fine experience. I recommend ordering anything with cheese, bacon, or ranch… you won’t be sorry.

My son and I each had a sirloin steak. Steaks were pretty tough and overcooked. Rolls weren’t hot and were kind of doughy. Salad was OK but not a generous portion. What’s with the spoonful of salad dressing? Sweet potatos were the best part of the meal. We ate at the Texas roadhouse west Knoxville a few weeks ago and it was much better. Service was OK. Just seems like east town mall and surrounding businesses are lacking something.

Dear Texas Roadhouse, I am appalled at the way you train your serving staff. I had the pleasure of receiving bread that was already given to another table by my server. I bet you ask how do I know that? A half torn straw wrapper was nestled on the bread… It came from the table behind us that recently left… I am not even giving details of the wonderfully horrible service that I received… Everyone has a bad day… I do this job for a living… That was just the straw that broke the camels back…(pun intended)… Sincerely, A recently ex-customer

We were a hungry party of six, including two small children. We walked in famished and cranky. The waitstaff here did a fine job of seating us quickly and bringing out their signature dinner rolls, instantly transporting us to a happier place. The peanuts were a nice touch, and the entrees were large and flavorful.

OK but generally not impressed. The ribeye was super fatty and Med. Rare looked more Rare than anything, so we sent it back. Better the second time. My filter had an odd grain and texture to it for a filter. You can tell it is just not top meats being used here. The apple sauce had a wooden or dirty taste to it. Not sure what that was all about but I did not finish it. How can apple sauce be bad? The bartender and our waitress were attentive and nice enough. It made for an OK lunch; but overall, it’s not great food. We should have just hit the Cracker Barrel.

This location is disappointing… a teenaged bus boy yelled at the entire party for wanting to sit in a big booth to fit the large group instead of a tiny table beside the kitchens and bathrooms. The large table was open and servers were on duty in that section. He was way out of line and then… the manager acted like it wasn’t her problem… just walked out and took the business elsewhere. This place is offensive

It was my first time a a Texas Roadhouse and I heard a lot of good things about it! The food was quite delish. I liked the rice. Our server was very attentive. The place couldve been a bit cleaner though. Very inexpensive and a great deal!

Due to fatigue and hunger I can’t say I’m being completely objective but I guess there is little objectivity when it comes to food reviews anyway. So I guess I can just say that I was a little less critical when I ate at this restaurant. Actually its the Kingston Pike location that I ate at but even now I’m too lazy to enter new information into Unilocal but it’s a chain so it should matter little. Anyway, the fall off the bone ribs lived up to its name and were pretty good. I mean they were ribs and I was hungry and well… the rest was history. So yeah, this place is like any Roadhouse Steakhouse or what have you. Peanuts on the floor and goofy shit on the walls. I tend to be a little bias against chains but I just don’t have the energy right now. 4 stars. Not enough reason not to have 4 stars.
