Delicious but over the top. Now, don’t get me wrong; I love a funky little place, decorated Pinterest style, with lots of choices. My problem is that I ordered the Sweet Corn & Seafood fritters and they arrive so so crunchy that they tore up the roof of my mouth. Were they good and hot? Yes! Lots of seafood? Not really sure. We all agreed that the drinks were good(Pineapple Lemonade was delicious!) with lots of beer & wine choices. I would give Southern Charm Kitchen another chance though…

So we’re in town for RAGBRAI. Came in at 5 pm. Got a table. Ordered food and drinks. 4 burgers. It’s now 7 pm. Only got our drinks. Still no food. Maybe I’ll update this review if the food actually gets here. They really shouldn’t have advertised in the paper about how good their food is if they were completely unprepared for people to come. Update: Food finally came. They advertise that they have the best burgers in town. Completely dry as dust. One leaf of lettuce. 3 thin strips on onion. No tomato. COLD fries. Worst meal of our week in Iowa so far. Vendor food from the fair is by far better.

No frills brew pub with good food. Pros: — Good Steak. Grilled according to order. Nothing special with seasoning. — Decent size drink/beer list — Sweat Potato casserole was really good. — Price — High value for your dollar. Cons: — Atmosphere is your typical bar with a dining area. — Salad — This easily could have been better. It wasn’t bad, but they spent no time pulling this together. I did not give it 5 stars even though I felt like it was a really good value. The taste of the steak was really good, but it’s not the best steak you will ever have. I would go back.

Grest food & service! Best steak I’ve had in a long time, and reasonably priced.
