This store is just aiming a little too broad for what I’m looking for in a board game store. Has a couple aisles devoted to games, a majority of the store to comics and miniatures. The play area seems more geared towards video games.

Great staff at Sci-Fi City. Very knowledgeable about a wide facet of gaming and geek culture. Prices are good, and there are always sales that are going on. They have the newest in board games, comics, role playing games, miniature strategy games and a game playing center. They have a subscription service for comics and other items. They will special order items and help you in any way that they can. The special events and organized play is great. Nothing to complain about. High recommended.

Meh is a pretty good way to describe it. Sure they have all the trimmings, but the staff are… well I’m not sure who was staff since nobody appears to know anything or work. I wandered around for a bit. There’s a lot of dude moaning and complaining going on from the gaming tables, so I guess if grown men who can’t handle losing a game are your thing then go on in. Prices are about average. There’s really nothing special other than it existing. I’m not sure what all the hype is about honestly. Poor service, rude people, and mediocre pricing. Am I missing something?

This is an amazingly nerdy store. It has everything you should need for a wide range of different types of gaming. Miniature games, painting supplies for them, comic books, box games of the Sci Fi genre and regular games anyone can play, they have it all! They even have seating and TV set ups so console gamers can play in the store, and tables so table top gamers can role play their asses off! I am from Cleveland and I drive to Knoxville just to go to this store for all my gaming supplies. You should open up a store in Cleveland or Chattanooga please!

There is always a great selection on board games, and just about any type of comic book you can imagine. Great selection on miniatures if you are into rpg games. I always enjoy buying my items here. One thing they need to work on is not treating every customer who walks in the door like they are shoplifters and learn customer service.

Sci-Fi City is pretty rad. A decently large selection of comic books, games, Science Fiction(of course) and other nerd-tastic offerings like cardboard cut outs(Who doesn’t love entering a store with a life-sized Dalek in the window?) figures and busts of mainly comic book heroines/villainesses(Harley Quinn and Catwoman, yum) and even memorabilia of Harry Potter and the like. There’s a section for tabletop gaming, as well as an area with comfy chairs to play first-person shooters on huge screens. It’s a really nifty store with average prices, and a cool addition to an otherwise lame mall.
