So yes the food is at best average for a local neighborhood Chinese but the customer service here absolutely stinks. From each generation of family members that appear to work here they are rude, and truly appear not to ever care about your order. If it’s wrong –tough. If the food is not good and you call to complain– tough. They will tell you it’s ready in 10 – 15 mins only to get there and wait another 30 mins! I’m happy to make the extra drive to the next nearest Chinese and avoid here from now on. This is why small business’s fail. Attention to your(previously) loyal customer base is completely lost and therefore you will lose this patron!

So, we were big supporters of this place when they first opened. A few hiccups and we let it slide and they seemed to get into their groove. We continued to support them, but in the past 3 – 4 times members of the clan have gone here, the place has stunk. We ordered takeout and ended up with a dinner Gen. Tso’s filled half by uncooked broccoli. I kid you not that half of the container was filled with the somewhat blah, light brown not orange-red chicken cuts you expect. You could clearly see where the cooks screwed up and figured, «they won’t notice that we will fill the open space with no less than 7 chunks of broccoli. We ordered two of these dishes and combined they would result in the usual one. Nothing like 8 dollars wasted on 14 sprigs of broccoli. The lunch buffet has turned out to be a joke. My boy just went there and the only text I received about it, «Rice King is disappointing today». The last time I went, we almost missed the window of it closing as we waited on them to restock it in a slow, almost frozen in time, manner. If you are going to spend $ 40 dollars or better on a night of Chinese food, find someplace else. In fact, your money goes further at a 12, 3 start buffet versus what this place has become. Maybe it was recently sold, I have no idea on how to explain how they went from pretty good to straight up being the pits. I give the place 1 year longer to live, if they keep up these shenanigans. Avoid at all costs now.

Not impressed. Went to try the lunch buffet and find it to be poorly stocked at 12:30 with only 3 other guests. The food was edible, but nothing noteworthy. No service to the tables except to bring one drink and no one came to check on refills or if the good was ok.

I went with my sister recently because we heard it was really good. I was disappointed. I mean the prices are not too bad so that was a plus. We decided to do the buffet(there are like 8 food options on the buffet) it was kind of cold and they never like put more in it, I wanted some chicken(sweet and sour chicken) and my sister ate the last that was there, and they never put out more chicken. Same with the other options, never refilled it. However, although the food was slightly cold or I guess«room temperature» and even though they never put out more, the food was good. As for atmosphere/surroundings, it’s kind of dirty. The table we sat at was sticky. No one ever asked if we needed anything either and we ordered a glass of water and that never came. Now when it comes down to it, if I was to eat food from this place again, I will order take out. I defiantly don’t see myself eating there again though.

Best way to describe their food is Chinese fast food. It’s biggest appeal is convenience. If we want really good Chinese food and good service, we go to China Pearl.
