Love their coffee however when I arrived at 8 am(opening) tables were dirty with crumbs and there were crumbs and napkin trash on the floor. They also seem to consistently have issues with heating/AC(or insulation) — cold in the winter and only doors open and fans running on what will be a hot day in June.

Good coffee and right next to Makers donuts, which are some of the best donuts I’ve ever had. My only complaint is the wifi isn’t great, there were a couple apps that I couldn’t run on it that I can other places. And this was not a one time thing, everytime I go there the same apps don’t work.

I used to love Remedy. When I was still attending UT, I used to go there to study, read and relax. Cozy, comfy seats, delicious large mugs of coffee, super friendly baristas who loved their job. But now? Not so much. The vibe just isn’t the same. It’s larger, brighter and more hipster. Had a barista who chatted with her friend in line and us ordering felt like an inconvenience. Their cappucino, which I loved so so much, now tastes like foamy milk with zero coffee taste. I’m giving Remedy one more shot(3rd visit) before I call it quits and just go to Makers next door instead.

I really enjoy this coffee bar. The baristas are all friendly and knowledgeable(they’re pretty freakin’ great). Plus, the coffee tastes out of this world. My only problem is the Internet is always down. I ask the baristas for help and they always happily assist, however, the constant internet issues are a hassle. Bummer :(

Love the simplistic vintage décor. The menu was quite limited as it seems like this place in particular is for people who love coffee and espresso and not so much syrupy drinks. The iced vanilla chai latte was amazing!

I’m loving the new location and feel of Remedy! Not paying for parking is even better, along with being a couple steps from the downtown hustle. The new space is beautiful and open. Now for the coffee! As a Chicagoan, Intelligentsia makes my heart happy! Seriously Knoxville, we are lucky to have Intelligentsia here! Not to mention Makers is next door, so WHYWOULDYANOT?! The staff is great and efficient to get you in and out.

Coffee was awesome! And the décor is super cool and so open, lots of sunlight. The barista was super attentive he made a quick run to turn up the ac when I was telling my friend how hot it was. One thing is that their wifi is a bit on and off, I was not able to access UT website for some reason, oh well, guess the universe does not want me to do schoolwork

I’m a fair reviewer. This is a fair review. The bathrooms are clean! The coffee shop is clean. The Makers Donut shop next door is invaluable! However…there are more negatives than positives for this new locale. First. The old location is WAY better than the new location. Yes it’s modern. Yes parking is way more favorable. The friendly factor… GONE. The comfort factor… gone. Second. Turn the heat on. It’s 35degrees outside. I should not see my breath in the coffee shop. Third. No decaf? You are«out»? How does a coffee shop run out of decaf? Fourth. The guy shouting in the back room. What’s that about? Is he shouting out coffee orders? Or shouting at himself? Employees? Fifth. More comfortable seating. The bar type seating is not why people go into coffee shops. They come in to relax. There’s no relaxing in hard seats, metal stools or bar chairs. Sixth. Friendly baristas? No here.

This is the best coffee shop in Knoxville. Great atmosphere, easy street parking, and friendly staff. Plenty of seating when I went on a Saturday morning/afternoon.

A great new spot, always smiling to those who walk through the door! I would check this spot out over old city java.

Remedy’s new digs look good. Real good. Their new location in Downtown North is tucked away from the main veins, but judging by the bustle it’s not deterring anyone from enjoying this new spot. Adorned with the big comfy couches that you love and vintage this and that throughout the shop, first you’ll fall in love with how the place looks. Why would I work from home, when I can come camp out here. The coffee is as great as it’s always been. I know this is a bold statement, but I think they have the best cold brew in town. And they are now the only place in town to serve cold brew on tap. That’s some epic coolness! The absolute best thing about Remedy is the people. Everyone that works here loves what they do and the people they serve, but the owners, Sean and Sara, are quite possibly the kindest people on the planet. They truly care about our customers and their community. Bottomline: Remedy serves up nothing but quality and kindness!

I am seriously loving the new location. While I found the original charming and comfortable, the new spot is cleaner, brighter & more contemporary. First up — it still has comfortable seating options, and you can sit alone or in bigger communal tables. Also, window seating overlooking Old Gray Cemetery.(Aside from being pretty — you know there’s some entertainment out that window). The menu presentation is more streamlined; I like it. I had a cortado and a chai latte this morning, and both were fantastic. The cortado was rich and did the job. The chai had a perfect touch of cinnamon. They have all the good baked goodies you will recognize as well, including my favorite — the chess bar! I am holding out hope that they will get over the soy milk and get some almond or coconut milk in there. I think they’re among the last coffee shops in town not to have that option since soy is so horrid for you. In the meantime, I cannot wait to go back for more espresso, or to try some of the tasty-sounding iced teas and baked goods.
